The first time I bought shoes there I had great service. Unfortunately I didn't like them and returned them no problem. I bought others and others. Always good service. Today I went inside and the sales person did nothing. It should be a full service speciality store and I got no service. Cancelled my membership and was very disappointed. Ordered two (2) pairs of running shoes online. Ran in one (1) Pais four (4) times, they were not a good fit. Returned them to store at Peachtree Corners. William really took care of me. Was very receptive and understanding that the shoes were not a good fit. He spend a long time helping me find a new pair. We went through the entire fitting process. I made an online reservation with Road Runner Sports (Peachtree Corners) for a 10:30AM consultation on running shoes etc. I read a lot of good things about RR so I was excited as a newbie runner/walker. After an hour drive, I arrived and walked to the entrance. I was cut off @ the entrance by a woman who rudely without looking at me announced "Store Opens @ 11:00AM." As she unlocked the door, I told her. OK, I had an online appointment for 10:30. She responded. "Well, you're going to have to come back later Friend", and shut the door. I'm going to assume she was the manager because she had the keys. There is NO WAY I'm going to spend Money with a store or people who DO NOT VALUE their customers/clients. Especially the Customers of Color. I drove 5 minutes around the corner to Fleet Feet in Johns Creek and was treated with courtesy, kindness, and respect. I ended up spending more than $300 with them and I will continue to recommend any potential clients to take their business to them. Road Runner leaves a lot to be desired. read more

This was actually my first time in Road Runner Sports. As an avid runner, I will most certainly return. There was a wider variety of shoe than most of the runner-specific stores I've been to. And they had my preferred line of shoes, which I've had a tough time finding in-store anywhere else. Theire was also a great selection of runner-wear and accessories. I also have to compliment Jamichael, the individual who assisted me in the store. I customarily loathe interactions with sales floor personnel (Nothing against them. I'm just antisocial), and tend to be short and curt with them. But Jamichael won me over with sheer charm and persistence. He also got me set up with the VIP program by explaining how to make it work for me. He may actually have made me a customer for life. So well done. read more

Going to have to say I'm really disappointed, given such a good first experience. I brought in my mother who was ready to buy some good walking shoes. I should have absolutely requested Mike, but another person attended right away to us. Still, I should have. Anyways, this person did nothing for my mother. No foot scan. Nothing. Unless prompted by my mother who had to initiate conversation and questions. Basically, this person didn't seem knowledgeable or just plain bored. My mother left really disappointed. She came here because I had such a good experience. She thought perhaps given a foot scan could aid in finding the right shoes. Basically, the sales associate told her she didn't have any shoes that could help her issue. We ended up going for a custom orthotic. Even then, she was not as helpful in doing it than Mike. Yesterday was my dad's bday and I knew I wanted to get him fitted for new walking shoes. I had a ton of suggestions for where to go but decided on Road Runner bc it is the closest to my house and wanted to support a PTC business. We had the BEST experience!! Matias helped us and treated my dad like a rockstar! He was very knowledgeable and honest with us about which shoes really worked best for him. My dad picked the shoes he wanted right away- a little too fast. He walked around with his new shoes after we left the store and decided he wanted the half size smaller (which is what Matias suggested). I called the store to see if they had that size in stock. The person who answered the phone was so pleasant and tried to help me as best he could but eventually passed the phone to Matias. My dad ended up going back and switching them out for another pair and he said it was seamless and Matias was just as helpful with the exchange as he was with the sale. We drove all the way from Memphis to come to this store. We've shopped online with roadrunnersports.com for years! We wanted to come in to the store to get my wife fitted for custom inserts. She's a nurse so she's on her feet all night and has struggled to find the right shoes. Tyler greeted us at the door and took us from start to finish. He was awesome. He explained where my wife's foot pain and blisters were coming from. Turns out, the shoes weren't the problem! It was her socks. He also recommended the most comfortable flip flops my wife has ever worn to help her recovery after a long string of shifts at work. I can't recommend this company and this store enough! First of all...I want to admit that walking into the store I was a non-believer. But once I began the process of analyzing my feet's personalized needs and actually walked around on my customized insoles...I was in love! Very deluxe and personalized way to find the best shoes with customized insoles that are BEYOND COMFORTABLE. I cannot wear my normal shoes without missing my RRS insoles and they have greatly reduced my knee pain from years of running long distance. Jarrett is the best! I went there last week, and he was very patient while trying to fit my, what I found out to be, fat feet based on the computer analysis. He was the only one at the store and had multiple customers, but spent plenty of time with each of us so that we did not feel hurried or disregarded. He gave great recommendations and worked hard to find the right fit and look. It's rare that I come across someone with the customer service skills that he has - he's a jewel, and Road Runner needs to do everything they can to move him to the top of their ladder! I would buy from this store rather than online or elsewhere just because of Jarrett's customer service. read more

I have had it with this joke of a running store. I just arrived at the store at 5:05 pm and although the door said they were open until 7:00 and there was an employee in the store, he said they were closing at 5:00 despite what the door days. "Sorry about that." Some months ago I wanted to buy an expensive Garmin triathlon training watch. I looked online and it told me this store had it in stock. So I made a trip there only to learn that they did not, in fact, have the watch. The sales clerk said that the online inventory was not accurate. "Sorry about that". He then proceeded to try to sell me a watch I didn't want instead of the one I came to get. A couple of months later I came in to buy a specific pair of Adidas running shoes. They didn't have them. "Sorry about that". But the sales clerk informed me that the reason they didn't have them was because Adidas was no longer making that shoe. He instead tried to sell me something else that I didn't want. But someone forgot to tell their competitor in John's Creek about that. I bought the Adidas I wanted there about an hour later and the sales clerk at the competitor told me it simply wasn't true that Adidas had discontinued that shoe. Then two weeks ago I went in looking for a simple item. One clerk proceeded to tell me that they no longer carried the item I wanted, that it wasn't popular and didn't sell and that was why they stopped carrying it. "Sorry about that". Meanwhile the other clerk overheard the conversation and went to another area of the store and came back with the exact item I was looking for. Clearly they had not stopped selling it. But apparently the staff at this store will just say anything to customers, true or not. But with my inability to even enter the store tonight because they were closed at 5:00 when the sign clearly said 7:00... "Sorry about that", I am done. This store is very convenient to my house but I will never return. Life is too short for this insanity. Sorry about that. read more

My foot problems and age require me to find the right walking shoe and I have previously gone to a regional chain. But, this time I tried this store hoping they could understand my issues and remedy them with the right shoes. I opened Pandora's box with this my visit to this location and Jackson, who took care of me. His professionalism, knowledge and customer-focus far exceeded my expectations...I ended up buying two pairs of shoes, a 3-pack of synthetic socks, and offas (I think they're called), Joined their rewards program, which is again customer-focused and very generous. The selection of a wide range of products, friendly and knowledgeable staff, favorable pricing and nearby location all spelled success for me.
