I had such a wonderful experience at this DSW with Dianna ! Unfortunately, I had an unexpected period leak, and she discreetly let me know instead of letting me walk around embarrassed. She was so kind and compassionate--she offered me a tampon and even gave me a shirt to tie around my waist until I could get home. Her kindness, professionalism, and empathy turned what could have been a really humiliating experience into one where I felt genuinely cared for. I'm so grateful for the way she handled everything. I haven't been here in a few years, because I've been doing a lot of shopping online. But I needed to get some shoes for traveling and I wanted to try them on so I thought this would be a good place to come back to. I was really glad that I did like before, they had a good selection and some good prices on a variety of shoes for different needs. In less than an hour I was checking out with four pairs of shoes. First visit today - it literally does seem like a warehouse. But that's ok, I was looking for a new pair of dress shoes and found quite a few options to choose from and was literally in and out of there in 20 minutes - but I'm not a very picky shopper. And I think I got a decent price on my shoes. I didn't have any questions, etc. so I really didn't need any help from staff but the only two staff I recall even seeing were at the front register. If you need help or have questions, that MIGHT be a problem but I'm really not sure since I didn't need to find anyone for help. If you are looking for that basic pair of shoes to go with any outfit, then DSW is your shoe store. This could be overcome, but I've found many of their shoes for better prices on Amazon of all places. What they do offer is a large variety of styles (running shoes, boots, loafers, flip-flops, flats, heels, etc.) in a big store. You can find the rare good deal in the sale section but beware of many "fake deals" being the norm. read more

So on line order super easy. Curbside pick up terrible. They don't answer the phone. They are curt when they did answer the phone. When they brought out the order the girl gave me the box said "here" and walked off . So rude? I think so. I blame management that. On the positive side nice selection of shoes fair prices. SHADY, AWFUL WORKERS, LIERS Lost my wallet, car key and phone seconds after getting up. Called police and none of the workers helped me. Filed a report, cancelled all my cards and made workers a check security. (There were only four workers working) and left distraught. The workers showed no concern for my lost items and I had to ASK for a phone and to check security footage. Was called an hour after they closed from MY PHONE saying "they found it in the back of their work room". I also tracked my phone of find my iPhone and it had been TURNED OFF. KEEP IN MIND customers can't go into work rooms. I asked the four workers if anyone had picked anything up and they all said no. This place has a few workers that tried to steal my stuff. This place is extremely shady. Wouldn't trust it and the workers were rude. Never going back. read more

Ladies love their shoes!! This is shoe heaven! You might actually hear "AHHHHH" in your head when you first walk in if you've never been! Their selection truly is amazing, whatever you might be looking for, safe to say, they'll have it. I'm not much of a dress heel girl, but today I needed a pair for a party Sat night. DSW did not disappoint! I found a perfect Anne Klein platform with about a 3 inch heel for $59.95!! I KNOW!! I tried them on and they were PERF!! They also usually have clearance shoes on racks in the back of the store in case you have time to browse and get lucky and find more goodies on sale! They carry a smaller selection of men's shoes as well and accessories like handbags and costume jewelry. The staff is always friendly and asks if I'm finding everything ok everytime I come to this location. When you're ready to pay and it's your turn, the cashier will call you by saying "next shoe lover please" I thought that was kinda cute. I don't mind the prices on shoes here. I went on a Saturday--- yes, the busiest day of the week, especially during the summer. So, I expected to wait. I do think that there are things they can do to speed up wait time. After finding my black flats (call me basic if you will), I went to get in line to pay. It was at least 20 people deep. There seemed to be only one cashier who knew what she was doing, having to run around and help everyone. Wouldn't you know, after waiting for 25 minutes, my cashier was the one who was helping everyone else. I understand the situation. Sometimes you have new employees, but how is it possible that no one else knew how to do things. Maybe having one person extra as the "helper" would have been good? Then- she starts trying to get me to sign up for rewards. That's fine. I am not dying to have them but whatever. Something was wrong with the computer and it wouldn't enter my phone number or something so she had to keep asking me for my information over and over again. When she wanted to start the process over a fourth time, I said, "Don't worry about it." Truly- I get it. I have worked retail. They push you to sell and sign people up for these things. I know this is how business goes. But honestly, with a long line, this should be your last priority. Take the money I am willing to give you RIGHT NOW and worry about the other selling on a Tuesday morning when there is no one else in the store. DSW carries middle market shoes. It's a great place to find some work shoes or name-brand running shoes. Most shoes they have on display are well stocked in different sizes. The workers are friendly and the store is very spacious. This location is nice even if slightly out of the way for me. If you are a frequent shoe shopper, they have a decent rewards program too. The website needs work. Their website is the first retail website where I've been locked out for too many failed log-ins. I had no alternative but to call their customer service (during normal business hours) to reset it. Also it rejected rewards they had sent me via snail mail. read more

Nice selection of shoes. Customer service however offsets any and all reasons to shop there. My wife asked a question about shoes for our daughter (she does have an accent), turned to walk away and was immediately laughed at by two co-workers. She later called to complain to customer service and was met with excuses designed to cover the behavior of the employees. The "Customer Service rep", after hearing her side of the story and not bothering to look into it, spoke as though she had been standing there the entire time' knew the story, and concluded she (my wife) was wrong. This is a huge shoe store offering just about anything you can put on your feet. It seems to have more shoes for women than for men. The prices are "dramatically" marked down but considering the markdown if off regular retail prices, I'm not so impressed. The variety is amazing, the prices reasonable, so if you're looking for something shoe related and don't really want to break the bank, this place will sort you out. Good selection, very clean and tidy. It's nice to walk into a show store where it's not a complete mess. They had a wide variety of shoes for all ages and it was easy to shop through the store and see the categories of each shoe type. Found what I needed and check out was quick. A shoe lovers dream come true! They have a vast selection of men's and women's shoes available here. They have all sorts of brands at lower prices than most department stores, along with several different styles to choose from. It is organized pretty well for the most part. The only downside I can think of is that the store is so big you will be doing a good amount of walking to see all they offer. Also, if you are searching for a sales associate you will most likely have to find one at the register at the front of the store unless you are willing to take your chances searching for one for a couple of minutes. Aisles and aisles of shoes! I'm in shoe heaven! I like the fact that you don't have to wait to ask for your size since the selection is all on the floor. The jewelry has grown to a very nice selection at this store. It is also budget friendly. Make a trip to the back of the store to find a good deal on clearance items! Sign up for their reward program to receive $10 coupons by email. I also received a $5 coupon for my birthday so guess what's on my birthday wishlist to gift myself?! I'll update to reveal if I was allowed to use both coupons at the same time! Update: Yes I was able to use both coupons on the same purchase! There is a huge selection at this store. The only issue was that there was not enough sales staff on the floor to help. Seems they were all in the women's section leaving the men's section for the men to just fend for themselves. Their definition of customer service is ignoring your presence and helping you only after you track them down. They might throw in a smile if you are a rewards member or if you sign up. If you refuse, they still scan the rewards paper in case you change your mind. I can't tell you how many empty signup sheets I've received. I stop by at least once a month. Don't get me wrong--they have decent selections of shoes, purses, etc...which is why I am giving one star. But no one ever smiles, greets, or asks for assistance. I once asked an associate for help but she told me she was on lunch and walked off, not even bothering to at least find someone else. Another time, an associate walked past me without even making eye contact; I later found out she was the store manager. Don't bother going to this store. The one on San Pedro is much better. It may look less appealing but the Rim is all just for show. Their customer service is same as Walmart. read more

The selection was mediocre at best, and there were only two different men's shoes that were offered in a wide size. Will never step foot in another DSW again. At this location, my credit card was charged double. I even saw the employee do it twice. After 5 attempts to get them to resolve the issue, they did nothing and say that I just need to contact my credit card. I have been a loyal customer for many years. They just lost a customer. After complaining to another friend, her credit card information was hacked at DSW. Another reason to stay away. read more
