I have been a DSW customer for years and as of today will never do business with them again! Had to return shoes because they seemed to be mismarked by the manufacturer. They were a gift for the holidays and I couldn't take the chance. The salesperson suggested I have them sprayed and after doing so discovered the error. Mind you this all took place at the same time, in minutes. They refused to return the $8.99 charge for the process. And $5.00 of that charge was a reward which I lost. Horrible way to do business!! You need to update your on line informaiotn regarding your store houses. You represent that the store opens on Sunday at 10:00 AM when in fact it does not open until 11:00 AM I shopped in a different store. read more

I'm all about customer service. This place is a mess, and I've had two orders here that got screwed up (in a row.) everyone makes mistakes but when I put in an order online for a pair of shoes , and then go pick them up & they try to tell me I ordered the wrong size shoes, when I literally have the size I ordered on my phone (confirmation etc.) that's an issue. I don't understand the need to lie when all that needed to be done was let me know you didn't have the size in stock. read more

DSW is fantastic. If you like quality and expensive shoes but can't afford them, go to DSW!!! The clearance isle is huge. It's all the way in the back, but every time I've gone hunting for a deal whether it has been a pair of boots, high heels, or flats, I've found something special. 40 to 60 percent off, you can't beat it. If you do have some extra cash, if you browse the rest of the isles you are sure to find something. They have an excellent selection of ladies dress shoes. All designer brands. Employees are very friendly. They are helpful but not overbearing. You can browse without someone looking over your shoulder or you can simply ask a representative and have a shopping companion! I like to be alone with the shoes, so to speak, so I like the space... and the assistance when needed! This is a new store in Brick. It was either the dollar store or the old A&P grocery store... Worst customer service, placed an order online that was supposed to be ready in 2 hrs for store pick up/ wasn't ready till the next day followed an email that one of my items was out of stock and cancelled. I proceeded into the store and asked why it wasn't ready yesterday and how do I know my order wasn't purchased by someone else yesterday when it should have been pulled off the shelf for me and the girl said "you could have just come inside for the shoes". Kind of defeats the purpose of an online order. read more

All I can say is that I LUV DSW! From the costumer service to the shipping and when my shoes arrive. Unlike other shoe stores I have gone to what's ever on the floor at the time, is it, but at DSW I can order the shoe because I am do not a common size. I just bring the shoe to the register and they will look it up if it's available in your size or another color, they can order it and the DSW staff has it sent directly to my home. I purchased a pair of boots for my son from Jersey and had them sent to him in Delaware when he was in college. Their the BEST!!!! read more

I purchased a pair of shoes from DSW in Toms River almost 6 weeks ago. Due to the cold weather I hadn't worn them until several days ago. I wore them to work one day and by the time I got home I could hardly walk. My toes rubbed against the material and were all torn up. I went to the DSW in Toms River yesterday and an associate by the name of Maggie assisted me. I explained the situation and she refunded my credit card. I was shocked! I did not think you could ever return used shoes however when I explained the situation she refunded the card without any hesitation. I will continue to shop at DSW and to recommend the store. Great selection, but every worker looks like they don't want to be there. Called in before I stopped by to ask about a product and the worker gave a huge attitude like I was taking them away from something. When I got there no one was helpful. Customer service practically nonexistent. read more

While I still prefer the DSW on Route 1 in Woodbridge because of the size, this smaller store still meets my shoe shopping needs. If you're like me and hate waiting for an employee to go into the back room to find your size and watch you try on shoe after shoe, then this is the store for you. You are left alone to browse organized aisles of hundreds of brand name shoes and the sizes available are all there ready for you to try on. There's no waiting on employees working with other customers or the impatient look of the employee who's waiting on you as you're deciding between six pairs of heels. The clearance section is perfect for finding an inexpensive pair of shoes you didn't know you needed. You will be surprised how clean this store stays during the day. Workers are on the floor cleaning up any mess left behind by customers, including putting misplaced shoe boxes back in the correct locations. Employees are super friendly and helpful. Best time to shop is week nights after 7pm when you it's just you and the shoes. read more
