instead of suggesting fixing my 7 year old AC unit, technician quickly stated he wouldn't fix my AC because it was not worth it. Technician installed Freon left and sent me a quote for a 12k HVAC system! Called another HVAC company out and they told me my Trane sytsem had a high end handler and worth fixing if they could find a major leak. He couldn't find a major leak so he installed some more Freon and said iit was probably a slow leak and to call him back if it has any issues. He said if it is a coil then it would be about 2K to replace, but he wasn't going to do that unless he could find the source of the leak... so charged system and see what happens. He then asked me what kind of system were they trying to sell you? 12K is ridiculous. read more

12/15/2017 Two of your trucks raced all the way from Burnet County through Liberty Hill into Georgetown. They impeded traffic to prevent the other from passing. The brown truck got in turning lane at Seward Junction to race ahead of cars, including a school bus, in the left lane. Dangerous and illegal. As of 4/26/2018 this company has not responded. Would not use them. Don't want those drivers in my area. read more

I called DTC after getting home from work and finding the temperature to be 92 degrees inside my house. Rowdy had me check the unit outside and suspected it was running, which it was. Rowdy explained what he thought was wrong, had me turn everything off, and sent one of his employees between jobs, even though they were booked all day. They got my fan motor replaced and had me back up and running in a short amount of time in the middle of summer. I am very grateful to Rowdy and DTC! read more

Today we had the free inspections for our heating and cooling systems offered by DTC. Kevin and Andrew showed up on time, and answered all of the questions my husband asked as he followed them throughout their visit. The report showed all of the systems that were checked and the emailed report contained the photos they took of all the meter reading. I called left a message on the after hours v/m and I had a call first thing this morning from Patricia scheduling an appt for today. By lunch, I had James out and he had the problem fixed in 20 mins. Gary came and fixed our Ac today. It's been out all weekend. Our home warranty company couldn't get anyone to come out and kept me hanging (sweating, pregnant, and miserable) for days. Finally got approval for an outside contractor. Strand brothers came out, gave a long list of things that needed fixing, gave an estimate of two days to get it done, and then refused to work with the home warranty company. Even though it required little effort on their part, and we would still have paid them direct. Thanks for nothing, Strand. A very sweet lady at DTC set up a time frame today (instead of making me wait all freaking day). Gary came within the time frame, and was wonderful. He was friendly, professional, fast, and clearly knew his shit. I HIGHLY recommend. read more

Not only was Rowdy helpful on the phone the first time I spoke with him, but great in getting someone to come out the same day and within an hour or two of speaking with him. After water leaking from our AC unit and having another service company tell us that it would cost over $500 and they weren't sure if it was the real problem, I called DTC. Not only were they here promptly but they also looked extensively to make sure they could correctly diagnose the problem. I was relived to find out the AC was under warranty and with DTC being a Carrier provider it will help greatly. The tech, Ryan, did a great job trying to patch all back up and minimize the leak til all can be repaired with the part. I would recommend them again and again. read more

Gary with DTC Air Conditioning came out yesterday and we have air conditioning for the first time; in 3 weeks. Should have called DTC Air first... Our Carrier Infinity AC displayed a system malfunction, that was "way over the heads" of the 3 other Carrier repair companies. Within 10 minutes Gary had the fault codes/fault history; pulled up, and was working the issue. The other "repair companies" had no idea how to work the thermostat (user interface) to pull up the fault history. I had to wait a couple of days for Gary to come out from my initial call but it was WELL WORTH THE WAIT. Had I called DTC first; I would have saved 2 1/2 weeks and nearly $575.00 from the prior "repair" companies. DTC is reasonably priced, Brenda is great on scheduling and keeping you informed. And Gary is exceptional, funny and willing to answer all my questions on the repair of the AC units. I will be using DTC Air Conditioning for my annual maintenance and any necessary repairs in the future. And will recommend them to anyone who inquires. read more

I first came across DTC and Rowdy when my compressor went out. As a first time home buyer and not an AC aficianado... I was nervous. Rowdy went out of his way to make sure I understood what went wrong, he also made an appointment to talk with my parents so they were informed (as they were able to make the ac repair appts as i was at work), and he kept his word with the quotes! So - Ryan came and repaired the compressor... in such a timely manner and they were on time!!! Then.... not only does another break happen with our system, but on a holiday weekend. I call up Rowdy, and he sends Ryan over again. Ryan figured out exactly what the problem was and had it fixed within one hour. I wish I could have "Rowdy and Ryan" throughout all of the different industries that I interact with on a daily basis. I have never dealt with two individuals that are so considerate, family oriented, customer focused... and they DO THE RIGHT THING. I highly recommend them for your AC and heating needs... read more

My A/C stopped working this morning, and DTC had someone at our door right on time (actually a few minutes early!) for a 1pm appointment. The repair man was courteous, and repaired the faulty part quickly and affordably. Buyer Beware! I had used DTC several times with great customer service. Recently I had a condenser go out in a rental unit. I called Rowdy and he was out the next day. The problem is that I DID NOT SHOP AROUND. He quoted me a price and said he could have it installed the next day. In a hurry - I said ok. A few days later - I mentioned it to another landlord. He said to call Smith Heat and ac. He quoted me (same unit info and Carrier brand) $700.00 LESS!!! (That represented a 37% increase.) Just shop around - you will find a better price! read more

Called on July 3rd and without charging extra because of the holiday, the earliest they could come by was on July 5th at 9:30 am. I had water leaking from a vent downstairs, which was under the A/C unit upstairs. They flushed the system and added freon. It cost me $117 which was reasonable. Overall I was happy with their service. read more

Our heater went out right before Christmas and we were in the cold for almost a week. I called up DTC AC & Heating, two days after Christmas and they were at our house two hours later. They diagnosed the issue - dirty heat sensor, right away and cleaned it for us. Now we have glorious heat and we are very thankful! I highly recommend this company; they will respond to your issue promptly and give you the straight truth on what's the matter. read more

On Wednesday we had a furnace fire. After the fire department left, we phoned DTC and explained what happened. They said they would have someone out within 30 minutes. They showed up about 20 minutes later. The first thing they did was to determine whether or not the furnace could be saved. Sadly, it could not. Mike was truly wonderful when giving us our options for replacement. He asked us a few questions, and based on our answers he said there was no reason for us to buy the most expensive. He even backed up our decision to go with the lowest SEER, 14. He said that would be a big difference as our current one was 12 SEER and due to it's age and condition, it was probably only a 10 SEER. After we made out decision, he phoned in the order and said they would phone later that day to let us know what time they would be there THE NEXT DAY! Thanks to DTC, in 24 hours we went from a furnace fire to a brand new furnace and A/C unit. I would recommend them to any one who asks. Thank you DTC! read more
