I have been going to Dr, Fong for close to 20 years. He is a great dentist with a fantastic bedside manner. He is patient, caring and always so cheerful. His facility is clean and he always has the latest equipment. They listen to what you say as well. For e.g., I really don't like taking x-rays and I have never felt pushed to do so. But when it really is time to do so in order to provide the best care, they let me know that it's time. The office switched to text notifications a few years back and there were sending excessive, in my view, text messages. I provided that feedback and I noticed this time that I received far less. Adam used to be my hygienist before he retired far too early, again in my opinion and he was so great. But Barbara, who takes care of my teeth now, is good as well. Dr. Fong does tend to get booked up quickly so if you have to cancel last minute and want to reschedule, it might not be possible. I love that they have a work life balance as well, the office is closed on Friday! The receptionist can be a bit stiff at times. There is plenty of parking. I've been going to Dr. Fong since I was a little kid, and I have always been impressed by the professional and friendly staff. I've heard stories of friends and even other family being afraid to go to the dentist, but I actually find it quite nice, and it is great to catch up with the office members and my hygienist. They really make you feel welcome, and the office has just the right balance of the personal comfort (books/magazines on the table, TV's above the dental chairs, and pics of some of the younger patients' and their smiles) as well as professional (very clean, a lot of technology, nice bathroom). The only thing that I've found to be sometimes difficult is that an appointment is usually during school or work hours on weekdays. However, the staff is more than happy to find a time that works for both parties. Other than that, I'd recommend Dr. Fong to any and everyone because of how caring and helpful the people are :) read more

Dr. Fong has been my dentist for several years. After not having insurance, or much in the way of money, for the longest time in my 20's I neglected my teeth. Things were kind of a mess but he fixed it all and everything is great now. I'm sure I've pretty much put his kids through college but it was worth it. The facility is very nice, with much of the latest and greatest technology plus TV's on the ceiling if you need a distraction. The staff is SUPER friendly and helpful and Dr. Fong himself has a great bedside manner. Very gentle, thorough and reassuring. I just moved out of the area and one thing I will really miss is Dr Fong's dental care. I am very nervous about dentists and Dr Fong has really gone out of his way to put me at ease. I was a patient of his for 15 years or so and he helped me through several dental emergencies. He always does a great job explaining what he is doing before he does it. I have a pretty small mouth, but he always managed to work on it without complaint unlike some previous dentists. Their hygienist is also really top notch. Very thorough and efficient. I've been treated by Dr. Fong and his staffs for almost 5 years. Dr. Fong is very careful, gentle and precise. He made it possible for me to get any fillings or crowns without getting nervous and scared. I also get my teeth cleaned by Adam regularly, and he is such a sweetheart. I called Dr. Fong's office at 8am on a Friday with the worst tooth pain I have ever had and he was able to get me in by noon the same day without a problem (at least on my end). I explained that I was getting married the very next day and I needed to do something NOW and FAST!!! and he did great! Patched me up just right and got me going. I had one of the best weddings ever and I really have to thank Dr. Fong for helping me actually enjoy it vs. being in a world of hurt all weekend. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU DONT LIKE GETTING RIPOFF AND LIED TO. From the start I told them I want to know all the costs & coverages before starting anything. I went in for a checkup and they totally lied about everything being covered by my insurance. The dental assistant that X-rays are fully covered as well, and after taking X-rays they said only half of it is covered and that I need to pay $160. I've been seeing Dr. Fong and team for so long that I've lost track of how many years it's been! Dr. Fong is the BEST dentist and I still go back to see him even after moving out of the Bay Area late last year. I'm never nervous about visiting Dr. Fong because I know that he and the rest of the team will always take care of me and do a fantastic job on my teeth. I've seen him for everything from my usual 6 month cleanings to some not so fun root canals. I never feel any pain or discomfort so I can honestly say that I never dread my dentist visits! Everyone in the office is also super friendly - Kathy, Brooke, Adam, and Sandra. It's nice that they have a small and tight knit team. You can tell that they all really enjoy the work they do and working with one another. I always enjoy chatting with them whenever I'm in the office. I've referred several friends to Dr. Fong over the past few years and they in turn have referred their friends - everyone thinks Dr. Fong is a wonderful dentist. All the equipment used is high tech and up to date. There are even screens above each chair and headphones that you can wear - it's nice to watch TV if you're getting some more serious work done. There is lots of natural light in the office and it's in a great location in Saratoga. A major upgrade from my last dentist. Dr. Fong is great in explaining the issue at hand & you feel confidence in his work. He has nearly done a complete overhaul, correcting many past dental mishaps & personal neglect. Flex in scheduling, especially when I was trying to take advantage of my COBRA we compacted a bunch of visits in a short time span. The office staff are all very pleasant to talk with. The work stations are partitioned with fresh natural light, a full size window is right in front of you. So its spacial feeling. Each patient slot has TV's mounted on the ceiling, so you can watch TV (Curious George made me laugh). Technology & equipment is upgraded. for example. a snappy X-Ray software gadget linked directly to a bedside cpu monitor, so no more gigantic xray machines orbiting your body. Just went for my 6 month teeth cleaning. Barbara was the hygienist. She's perfect. I just close my eyes and she does her thing. I am in and out in a flash. I have been going to Dr. Fong for a few years now. Going to the dentist is not my favorite things to do (I'm sure everyone would agree), but when I am there, the staff makes me feel at home as soon as I walk in. I am pretty picky about dentists. I went through a few dentists before a friend recommended Dr.Fong. She said I would not be disappointed. I have been here since. I am definitely confident in his work and value his advice. He is very gentle and I always end up falling asleep in the chair even while I am getting a filling done. It is in a perfect location in Saratoga. I started going to Dr. Fong when I found out one of my friends worked there as a dental hygienist. I have to say I have been to some pretty scary dentists in my life time and until now I have never trusted any of them until I met Dr. Fong. He is good enough at what he does that if I ever moved out of the Bay Area for any reason, I would travel back here for check ups rather than find a new dentist. One of the things I told him up front is "NO PAIN!" Do what you have to do so I don't feel a thing. So far he has and his staff have delivered and have done an excellent job on my teeth. I had to have some of my old fillings replaced because they were pretty old and now I have no problems with them at all. I even had a root canal done and almost fell asleep in the chair. After finding Dr. Fong's office on my insurance along with others) I looked at his website, Yelp reviews, etc. Simply put, Dr. Fong and his staff are a very kind and professional group. Dr. Fong and his assistant took so much time with me during my first visit. He asked me what I wanted from my dentist. Unfortunately so many dentist offices have turned into cosmetic money-making machines. Dr. Fong's office is not that kind of place. I just cannot say enough about my experience so far. My teeth are in great shape. What can you say about a dentist when your teeth are in great shape ? Dr. Fong, my dentist, is the best. I'm tough on my teeth. I clench them when I try to comb a cat who is very sensitive and reacts in surprising violent ways. Once, a teeth-clenching session caused a bottom tooth to break. Dr. Fong took care of it quickly and professionally. Just yesterday I called to let them know I had cracked a tooth on a Chipotle tortilla chip that was too hard, a bit stale. Dr. Fong and his staff fit me into his office within 30 minutes despite the fact that they were busy. That is service. Dr. Fong has treated me with a root canal that was (1) painless and (2) excellent. I have never had a bit of trouble with that tooth. And, speaking of his character, Dr. Fong once saved my son's basketball team by becoming coach to relieve me (I had stepped in when our college coaches had quit the team and I was acting as temporary coach). The team was able to finish the season and made it to the finals. In conclusion, Dr. Fong is an 'A'-number-one person in life and in business. read more
