I have been a Dublin Creek Kennels' customer for about 3 years. They are a great bunch of people who truly cares for our furry kids. The kennels they have are spacious and allows the dog to run a little bit. I have used other kennels where the dogs are kept in tiny enclosures, by the time I get the dog, the dogs just look sad. Play time and bath time are also options here. The staff are always nice. The best part and I know they really care, my dog forgets I am there when I drop him off and doesn't want to go home when it's time to leave. Dog and owner approve. read more

We've been bringing our Princess here for a few years now. Mostly overnight visits, but a couple of long stays when we were on 21 and 25 day trips. She happily wags her tail when she arrives and just as happily wags when leaving. Many of the staff members recognize her and know her name. We think she's comfortable with staff and gets plenty of attention. I think that it also helps that we pay for daily playtime. When we arrive, we bring one of her "donut" beds, some "fresh" food and some kibble along with her favorite toy. On longer stays, we also give her one of my worn t-shirts, so she doesn't forget who we are. We often see her picture taken during playtime on the Dublin Creek Kennel website. Unlike some kennels where all the dogs run in packs based on size and temperament, dogs here only run together if they're from the same family. read more

Our pup has been boarded at this location on two occasions and although she was scared at first, the next few days she opened up. The staff is so friendly and they remembered her the second time we boarded her. They were so excited to see our fur baby and remembered her name. This is the best kennel I've boarded my dogs with. Highly recommend them. My fur babies are very happy and content dogs. They were very happy to see us when we picked them up but settled down so quickly like they were content with their stay. That's a first cuz my little one wines for a minimum of five minutes after we pick them up from previous stays at a different facility. I liked how they had their own play time just them, my dogs are 13 and 10 years old and aren't as lively as other dogs they just chill. They weren't stressed at all. Last summer we were in the middle of selling our house and moving out of state. And we had two very young cats that we didn't want to move around to hotels and temporary housing. Dublin Creek took great care of our babies for a whole month. They even let our teenagers visit with the kitties ( in our car.) This is my second time boarding my cat here and has now become the only place I would leave her when I leave town. The first time I boarded her at Dublin Creek was last summer. Like any pet boarding place, the first time requires paperwork for basics such as distinctive features if you leave more than 1 pet, dietary restrictions, allergies etc. They require vaccinations be up to date and a copy must be brought in. I have a half Himalayan half Siamese cat, she remained smaller in size even as an adult which makes her still look like a kitten :) (she's turning 2 in February) If you know anything about Himalayan or Siamese cats, you would already know they're very loyal and attached to their owner. So true! She follows me everywhere, always wants to snuggle or be held and loves belly rubs. She walks me down to the garage every morning when I leave for work. With that being said, it's hard to leave her for long periods of time without worrying she'll have separation anxiety or just anxiety in general. Finding a trustworthy, comfortable place to board your pet can be difficult, Dublin Creek was a blessing in disguise. From the moment I walked in I felt comfortable. They have a welcoming lobby with a coffee station and check in counter. There's a large kitten cage for kittens available for adoption. There weren't any in there this last time I was there but the previous time they had a whole litter of tiny kittens! Once past the lobby you will find a deluxe boarding area and a separate not as luxe boarding area. Both are nice, tons of toys but the deluxe boarding blew me away with how open and cute it was! All cat condos were clean and very well maintained, in fact, the entire grounds of this place was as immaculate as it can be considering it's pet boarding. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The owner, I forget her name is so sweet and I could tell right away that she truly cares for the animals there and has a passion for what she does. I dropped my cat off 10min before they were going to close but she still took her time with getting my cat adjusted and took the time to comfort me as it was harder to leave her there this time around than the first. I can't tell you how much I appreciated that :) The thing that touches me the most about this place is that's it's a rescue and all the proceeds go right back into running the rescue. Both times I've been in there the owner encouraged adoption, talked about all the kittens and their personalities that were up for adoption and loved talking about other pets that were boarded there. She has a very warm and calming aura about her and you can feel that your pet is in good hands. I haven't had an issue boarding my pet here and I would 100% recommend them to anyone. read more

This kennel is our favorite and the people here are the finest. Luke and Tami, the owners, are great to deal with and their staff is the greatest. Even better, this kennel is our dogs' favorite also. Once they've figured out that we are at the kennel, they cannot wait to get out of the car. We've left the boys at the kennel for a couple of weeks often, and they come back home in better shape than when they left. We have both a senior dog and a much younger, more active one and both do very well at this kennel. We believe this is due to the staff, how very clean they keep the facility, and the loving care our four legged boys get while there. I've been searching for a good boarding facility since my dog sitter moved a few years ago and Dublin Creek Kennels is everything I was looking for! My guy is nervous and doesn't do well in groups of unknown dogs so it was hard to find a facility that didn't do all-day play with other dogs while still allowing for playtime for the less social dogs. Each dog gets its own playtime in the yard and they post tons of pictures of the dogs playing. Everyone here is friendly really loves the dogs. I am so impressed! My rescue dog is extremely anxious with new people/settings. He also goes ballistic when he sees other dogs (we tend to think it's bc they remind him of the coyotes who probably hunted him when he was a stray before he was rescued). He only loves his brother - my daughter's Westie who, along with her, lives with us. So I am extremely particular about where he stays when we have to travel. Our usual place was being renovated so we turned to our vet who recommended Dublin Creek Kennels. From the start, our pup seemed happier there. He only tried to jump back in the car once and dis not cower by my leg but went happily with the employee. And not only did we return from our trip with a happy bouncy love mutt (as opposed to a desperate fur baby acting like he was getting released from jail), but he was amazingly well-behaved. This was Teddy's first time staying in a kennel, and 100% it will be his last time because of my experience here at DCK. If your dog has any type of anxiety, I do not recommend taking him here. Please don't make the same mistake I did. Being in kennels can be an extremely stressful situation for all dogs due to the amount of barking and isolation. Here are things you should know if you're considering boarding your dog here: 1. DCK's contract says they're not responsible for any illnesses your dog encounters during their stay. So if another dog has kennel cough while your dog is there and your dog contracts it, DCK's not going to claim responsibility and you will front the bill. 2. DCK's contract also says the owner is responsible for all of their dog's behaviors exhibited in the Kennel. In my case, this means that DCK isn't going to take responsibility for the fact that my dog got injured during his stay here. Honestly, I don't believe DCK would let you know if your dog was a bad fit for being boarded in a kennel. Despite disclosing that my dog can get anxious and asking questions about whether or not it was a good idea to board Teddy at their kennel, I was reassured by multiple staff members they would do everything possible to make sure it would work for Teddy. When dropping Teddy off, I asked the staff member "at what point are you going to call me if you think Teddy can no longer handle the kennels?" To which she gave me a non-answer. This should have been my first red flag and I should've "noped" right out of there. I call two hours later to check up on Teddy to see how he's doing. The staff reassures me that he's doing okay, he only did a little bit of digging and biting of the kennel, but they've seen much worse cases. When I go to pick up Teddy, the manager barely mentions anything about how Teddy did and just hands him to me. It's not until I got in the car that I noticed one of Teddy's teeth was chipped and he's covered in drool (apparently he drools when he's very stressed, which I've never seen before). I took him to the vet the next day and they confirmed that one of his teeth is fractured and needs to be removed and two of his other teeth were chipped. Not only that, but after his stay he had diarrhea from the stress he experienced from being in the kennels for only 4 hours. When I confront DCK about it, they told me that it was Teddy's fault for biting on the kennel and they weren't responsible. They also tried to place the blame on something Teddy did before he came to the kennel, which is absolute BS considering he's never been a chewer and only plays with soft toys. If I could do it all over again and not take Teddy to DCK, I'd have a much happier dog and a less empty wallet. If you do decide to take your dog to DCK, be prepared to pay for it if something happens to your fur child. read more

A few months ago, my wife & I decided to adopt a cat. Since I had never owned a free-roaming pet before, I wanted a really mellow cat - an adult that wouldn't get all crazy and tear up my stuff. One of our friends directed us to the Dublin Creek Kennel's Facebook page, as they had some photos of animals to adopt. There we found Angela, an adult cat that needed a home. We called ahead and made arrangements to visit Angela. When we arrived at the Kennels, the staff were very helpful, answering all my questions about Angela and cats, in general. After the questions, the staff left my wife & I alone with Angela in their cattery, so we can all get to know each other. Since Angela was very friendly towards us, we decided to adopt her, to the joy of all the staff! That was in April. When we boarded her last week for a day, the staff were happy to see Angela. They all remembered her, like she was one of their good friends. And when my wife picked her up the next day, the staff said that Angela walked around the cattery like she owned the place! All in all, the staff at the Dublin Creek Kennels are more than professional, they treat you and your pets like their own family. I definitely would recommend them for boarding! read more

This place is awesome! I saw the sweetest kitten on petfinder.com and it led me here. It's tucked away at the end of a cul de sac. The grounds are lovely, warm, and inviting. Everyone there is so nice too! I met a gentleman who directed me to the office, the woman at the front desk, and Sue the owner. All were very welcoming and helpful. Sue sat with me, while I got to know the kitten, in their cat room. She so obviously loves animals and her job. She's owned the place for 22 years. I enjoyed speaking with her... and not that it's relevant to pet adoption, but she also has really beautiful and kind eyes. I brought the sweetest kitten home, and we all already adore him. I'd recommend this location for pet adoption in a heartbeat. I only met 3 of the animals there, but all appeared to be happy, healthy, and loved. read more

I board my puppy here when I CANT take him on trips with me. They know him by name when we walk in. They take photos and display them on social media of there playtime. I wanted to possibly adopt one of there dogs they had there but wasn't sure if my dog yogi and her would get along. So they took them on a walk together since both dogs didn't win the award for being social butterflies. And they did great. They wanted to make sure yogi was the right fit so they said come back just to do a second trail run of there interaction and we'll go from there. I have 2 dogsl a Pitbull and a pity mix... it's hard to find places that are excepting and Pitbull friendly We were going on a trip for the weekend I had never left them before both pretty young dogs about a-year-Old from a rescue... I had not had a good experience with one of the places I had left them for a trial and at the very last minute called Dublin Creek and spoke to Michele on the phone after I talk to her I felt so much better she was just delightful it's so warm and welcome mean and made room for my dogs without even meeting them. When I got to the facility to look around I met Michelle she gave me a tour the place was absolutely immaculate so clean and safe I felt so much more at ease. They post pictures on Facebook of them out playing I was able to check on them every day! I pick them up today and they literally turned around to follow the staff back in they had such a good time I was like what am I chopped liver lol! but I knew that my dogs had had a great experience and got love and attention while I was away definitely my new place to go and recommend to all thank you Michelle and staff for being so amazing and taking care of my babies!! read more

I just picked up my beautiful Golden Retriever, her name is Lily and is the sweetest most polite Dog you have ever met and would never hurt a fly. Well when I came to pick her up not only did she have the WRONG COLLAR ON, BUT SHE HAD A HORRIBLE BITE MARK ON HER FACE. For as long as I have had Lily (8 years) she has never had confrontation with another dog beore, let alone a bite. But when I picked her up she had a huge gash right below her eye and a bunch of other bite marks on the top part of her Jaw. The teeth marks looked just like a Dogs jaw and teeth alignment. When I asked the front desk what happened, he played dumb like he had NO IDEA what I was talking about. Then on top of that she had the wrong collar on and the front desk employee was trying to convince me that was her collar, I think I would know what my baby girls collar looks like. I have only been taking care of her for the past 8 years. Not only does his establishment have total and inept employees, but they seem to not have any compassion for the dogs they are taking care of. The front desk employee had no remorse for my obviously injured and scared Dog. Anyone who loves Dogs can tell when they are scared and skitish, and this was a new demeanor for Lily who is usally happy and loves to see everyone. This is the first yelp review I have ever written, but the total lack of disrespect and failure to do their #1 Job, which is to take care of my Dog and make sure she is safe, has lead me to write this review. And instead of telling me what really happened, I was lied to my face that nothing had happened and she must have had those cuts before she came in. If you make a mistake, especially in a business, it is your duty to take responsibility and see how to make the situation better. But I got none of that, not even a lousy "Im Sorry"!!!! I ended up having to take her to the Vet to clean up her gashes, it was so bad she required stiches. I tried calling the facility asking to see the security tapes that they said are on their facebook page. Well lucky for them, the tapes where working the day before but they magically didn't have the tape from the day I picked her up. How convenient for them that they had a technical problem the same day Lily was either bitten or beaten. I have been bringing Lily here for the past year but will no longer continue to bring her to a place where her Saftey is not the #1 priority of the staff and business in general. IF THE SAFETY OF YOUR DOG IS IMPORTANT THAN PLEASE FIND ANOTHER KENNEL OR YOU MAYBE THE NEXT ONE WRITTING A SIMILAR REVIEW, ITS NOT WORTH IT TO TAKE THE RISK OF YOUR DOG BEING THE NEXT ONE BIT OR BEATEN WHILE STAYING AT THIS HORRIBLE KENNEL!!!! read more
