Was looking for a place that has open play area for day care/long trip. But what I saw are dog inside tiny cages.. a few bigger dog were forced to seat down inside the cage and not able to stand and extend their feet nor turn around. Also the room was unattended with any staff for the duration of 5minute plus. Moments later a staff saw me and rush out stop me from taking photo of the place and said I am not allowed here.. Today I pass by again, same issues, no attendants, all dogs locked up. It's so sad looking at them. Being your dog else where. read more

This place is dirty. The entire building reeks of urine as soon as you walk in. Dropped my dogs off for a day of daycare and they came back reeking of urine and had yellow stains on their feet. It was absolutely disgusting and incredibly disappointing. Also not impressed with the way this place is ran and how they introduce the dogs to each other. For my dogs introduction they just let him loose in the big dog room where 10 other dogs jumped and crowded on him. They told me my dog seemed anxious (I've literally never heard anyone say that and have not noticed him to be anxious myself ever), but what dog wouldn't be when he's immediately being crowded and cornered in a small room by a bunch of dogs that are bigger than him. Since our bad experience here, we have tried a new doggy daycare and it's been going amazingly. The staff seems nice enough but I think they need to update some of their protocols. We will not be back and will definitely not recommend this place to anyone else. read more

I also board him there because my Milo has a medical issue and they are so profesional they know what to do in an emergency. I love the rooms he stays in super comfy and roomie for him. I specially love the cameras I love to sometimes watch him through out the day. And also watch him interact with other dogs. I I've how they separate the dogs of sizes. Most daycares don't do that. This dogcare place deserves way more than what people give them on Yelp. I can only speak for this location as I've only used Dogtopia here. The staff is WONDERFUL. At Dogtopia, they seriously want to make sure your dog is comfortable enough to be in an environment with other dogs so they ask that you make a meet-n-greet appointment (at a fee) respectfully so. The meet-n-greet was about 30 minutes, and it was the most informal session I have ever been to. While Ponyo was getting evaluated, the Dogtopia staff member talked through everything I needed to know to make me feel comfortable with moving forward. I had a lot of hesitation thinking about leaving my pup in the hands of someone else, but they really educated me through the process and I strongly felt I had nothing to worry about. What was cool is that after the meet-n-greet, they let your pup stay for the remaining day. For future daycare bookings, it's all handled on the app. They make it so easy for you, and the doggy cams are so fun (but distracting) to look at. They place your dog into a room that is most compatible with them (size and energy level). The only feedback I have is the potty cleaning process. When I watch the cameras, it's hard to discern whether the mop they are using is clean. I understand that the play area is designed to be a dog park, meaning they can pee/poop anywhere and anytime, so the frequency of cleaning makes it challenging to have a very clean mop every time. But, I can't help but feel that my pup comes home with grubby paws and is a bit more smelly. Regardless, Dogtopia is a great place for your pup especially if you are occupied and can't attend them for a long stretch of hours. Fun Playground for your Dog! I visited Dogtopia during the soft opening. A young lady was kind enough to show me around the facility. They will be open to the public in a few days. All of their employees here are certified in dog handling. They have to go through a course plus some online training to be certified. Good to know. The young lady that I chatted with appeared to be very knowledgeable. She was very helpful in answering my questions. When you first bring your dog here, they do a check, to make sure your dog will work out well with the other pets here. They have a separate room in the back so that they can thoroughly check your pet out. I thought this was really a good idea. They have three separate play rooms, depending upon the size and energy level of your dog. I told them that our Doberman is pretty high energy, and they suggested I bring her in to have her checked out to see if she would fit in. They mentioned that they do have some other very large dogs, which do well here. I am not super optimistic our doberman would fit in here, but that's not their fault. The overnight boarding is $61, which includes the daycare as well. This is quite a bit more expensive than where we normally board our dog in Pleasanton. On the other hand the price here includes the daycare. The dogs board in the large metal crates that are in the playrooms. However, they also have special "suites" in the back in case your dog requests a separate room. I'm pretty sure our Doberman would insist upon a separate Suite. The facility is very clean and tidy. It seems like a decent place to bring your dog. They also have online video so that you can see what is going on in the playrooms. The video is also displayed up front, so you can get an idea of how the video works. I thought this was a really good idea. I predict this place is going to be very busy! A lot of good services are offered here besides just the daycare. We will bring our Doberman in soon and see if she can pass the socialization test. If you're just interested in boarding your dog, this is probably not the best option. However, if you're interested in daycare, they offer a lot of good services. read more

Fred has been going to doggy day care for over a year. We have also had a few boarding stays. He goes 3+ days a week & loves it! We love the coaches & the staff are great. They used to walk dogs once a day if they stayed for longer than 6 days, but they since changed their services and now don't offer walks at all so our dog stayed indoors her entire 16-day stay. When I came to pick her up, she was noticeably thinner, her bed was ripped up (had to be thrown away), and they mysteriously lost both her dog bowls. Out of the four things we left with her, her bed, her two bowls, and her toy, we got back only the toy intact. She stayed for around two weeks this time because our trip abroad was unfortunately extended due to unforeseen circumstances but we will not come here again with our dog and her things if we can help it. Maybe it's a good thing they didn't walk our dog since they couldn't even manage to keep track of a few stationary items. Disappointed. The staff is very friendly and appointments are easy to book through their app. For new dogs, they require a behavioral assessment before you can book boarding or daycare. Our dog, Eliot, really enjoys being at Dogtopia of Dublin and this is very important to us. Not so in past experiences. The staff is as happy to see him as Eliot is to see them. I like that we get feedback on Eliots play style and behavior during his stay. Before going home, he can have a spritz of their doggie spray for any dog odors he may have picked up. DO NOT BOOK SPA SERVICES AT THIS DOGTOPIA LOCATION. I am utterly appalled by my first experience at a Dogtopia location. You can see from other sites that Dogtopia has a solid reputation on yelp, but let me tell you why TO STAY AWAY from the location in Dublin: First off, I booked a meet and greet appointment for Dogtopia in Dublin on April 25th. The next day, someone called me and explained to me that I only need the first set of canine influenza vaccine in order to use the SPA services. She said that I can book an appointment 24 hours after the initial vaccine and that as long as I complete the series within the usual timeline, I can continue to book SPA services. She told me she booked an appointment for May 7th at 2:15pm. I went to my vet on May 6th at 11:30 AM to get the canine vaccine for my dog, Kumo. Later that day, I received a call from Dogtopia saying that I will have to reschedule my appointment because I am already 10 minutes late - it seemed I was actually scheduled for SPA services at 2:15pm on the 6th (a day earlier than what I was told). I explained my situation to the person I spoke to and she understood my situation. She told me that you do not need the influenza vaccine for SPA services so I wasted $33 on a vaccine my dog did not even need. She then booked me for 9:15am on May 7th. I arrived at my appointment, dropped off Kumo and received a call 30 minutes later that, according to dogtopia policy, they are unable to complete the full service on Kumo due to her being noncompliant. I understood and told them I would come pick her up - I understand that dogs can have bad days and bad moods so I was willing to try another time. What bothered me the most was when I picked up Kumo, the person who handed her to me did not even say a single word. It wasn't until I said "Sorry about today", she responded with "It happens" and shrugged off. This is not how you treat customers who drive 20 minutes to Dublin to try your services at Dogtopia. Upon inspection of Kumo in my car, I found that she had toothpaste residue on her snout (please see the attached picture - there was brown toothpaste residue on her chin and on the side of her face). I called back and asked them why I was charged for over half the price ($31.50) over a job that was so poorly attempted and done. To pay over half the price (regular price for a deluxe spa was $57) on a service that was so poorly executed and managed is disappointing to say the least. I expected better handling of the dogs, even if Kumo may be a more difficult breed (she is a Shiba Inu, known for their diva attitude). As I am writing all of this, I am wondering where did I go wrong? Did I not ask enough questions in the beginning in order to not get misbooked? Should I have lowered my expectations from Dogtopia? All in all, a very bad first impression at Dogtopia. I spoke with management who, again, brushed me off as I was explaining my situation. Poor management, lack of communication between departments (misinforming me about a required flu vaccine), and low-handling skills for difficult dogs (like Shiba Inus)... it's just not worth it. I am hoping management will figure out a way to fix this but if you don't want to go through the same troubles I did, please try a different grooming service. DON'T RISK IT!!! EDIT: I went to Perfect Pet Salon (in Concord) on 5/12/2021 for a grooming appointment. They explained Kumo was not aggressive at all and although she was stubborn, she showed no signs of aggression. Please do not USE EXCUSES and LIE that my dog was biting your groomer. Kumo receives vaccines from her vet and receives services from plenty of places - saying that my dog is aggressive and ended up biting your groomer IS A COMPLETE LIE. If your groomer was not willing to put up with my dog's stubbornness, then say that - don't spread lies that my dog bites. I actually believed it for a second and even warned the groomer at Perfect Pet Salon that Kumo bites now, but it is just COMPLETELY wrong. read more

Do not send your dog here if they are medium/high energy. They constantly crate dogs here and do not properly vet every dog that comes in. I have a very high energy dog - he is extremely friendly but high energy. The employees here do not know how to handle it. Any dogs that run around or actually play with other dogs are crated. There was one day my dog was only out of the crate for ONLY AN HOUR THE WHOLE DAY. My mom watches the cameras as well and she called me asking why he was being crated so much. I called and they informed me another dog in his room was reactive so they had to crate my dog. If the other dog was reactive, why even allow them into the facility? Isn't that what the meet and greets are for?? Another time he was moved to the small room (from his usual medium room), because a herding dog was constantly "targeting him". Well guess what? My dog is a lot bigger than all the small dogs - so he was constantly crated. Again - why allow a dog in who misbehaves? They are constantly crating the dogs here. I've been to multiple other daycares and this isn't needed - even when there are 3x the amount of dogs. I started going here when they first opened but the quality of service has gone down ever since then. I spoke with the manager 2-3 times and saw no change. She said they were "new" so they needed more training. They've been open for much longer than other facilities I've gone to and are doing fine? The canine coaches just seemed nervous or disinterested. I finally spoke with the owner when I left. Hopefully they will make changes. read more

Recently adopted my dog Sophie in January 2024 and we quickly learned that she was not a home alone dog, but we could not stay with her all day, every day. I had taken Sophie to another boarding facility and they kept her inside with other dogs and no humans almost the entire day...and because she barked they crated her nearly the whole day. Sophie looooves people and with Dogtopia there is someone in the room with them all day. Dogtopia offers exactly what Sophie needs for the day, and I can tell the staff really care about the dogs. It's been great to have a place to take her for the day that gives her enough activity with other dogs and allows her to follow someone around all day. I also like that they have rest time from 12:00-2:00pm. The staff have also been great about accommodating my schedule for simple reasons and last minute items like getting Covid and not being able to bring her in. My dog and I went to our scheduled Meet and Greet on September 2nd. Over the phone, they informed me that this meeting is to see how my dog would react to a free play daycare/boarding setting. With the new Covid protocols, I was unable to go inside. But was able to watch part of his meeting from outside. My dog was able to roam around freely in the play room for about 20-30 minutes. Which after, they told me he passed :) Unfortunately, I'm docking 2 stars because of a miscommunication between the staff members that left me a little disappointed with the way Dogtopia handled their protocols for over night boardings. Dogtopia sent me an email to give me a chance to send them feedback. Which I did, a day after the Meet and Greet. I was able to voice my opinion and give some insight into how I felt the meeting went a little sideways. Sarah contacted me immediately after I submitted my feedback to clear up the misunderstanding. Which I definitely appreciated. It gave me clarity as to what happened. And gave me a breath of fresh air, as I could tell she truly loves and has a passion for working with dogs and the dog parents. We used Dogtopia for several months for daycare and for boarding. We had a bunch of very positive experiences, but our last boarding experience tarnished all the goodwill they had built up with us for months. We left our little dog for a week of boarding while we were on vacation and when we got her back she just wasn't acting like herself. After several days of her not seeming normal, we realized she was in extreme pain and brought her to the vet. Due to a lack of cooperation from Dogtopia, we still aren't entirely sure what happened to her. Our vet assessed that she must have been attacked while at boarding due to the degree of trauma that was underneath all her fur. Once shaved she was covered in puncture marks and blood. The reaction from Dogtopia was the worst part of this all. Their response was all CYA and zero care about what actually happened to our dog. They sent the pictures to some "independent" vet who gave a very alternative diagnosis, which our vet disagreed was possible. When we told them our vet's opinion, they were very standoffish and we just stopped communicating with them because it was clear they only cared about their liability and not about finding out what truly happened to our dog. Our girl has recovered and is ok now, but I've never been more disappointed in a place that was supposed to caring for a member of our family. We won't take her back there ever. read more

The most amazing people at Dogtopia Dublin. Robin, Sara & Erin are incredible. They give so much love and care to all the dogs and I witness it every time I take my dog to daycare. Knowing how much love and care they give to these animals I always know that I have nothing to worry about. Robin and Sara always make sure that the dogs are always looked after and always have their best interest. I could never imagine taking my dog to any other doggy daycare. The support staff in the rooms are always doing an amazing job of keeping it clean and watching all of the dogs, and again this also falls back on Robin and Sara. We have been taking our two dogs here for about 10 months. Our puppy, Teo, (about 14mos) was nervous at first. Given he was born during COVID he had minimal socialization. We tried a different day camp, and he would just sit in the corner and shake. We then spoke with Dogtopia, and explained his behavior, and our desire to get him socialized, and reduce his anxiety. They worked with him the first few visits, and he soon relaxed and now plays around with all the other dogs. Our other dog, Bella is an 8 year old cockapoo. Both love going to Dogtopia. They practically jump out of the car when we drop them off...and run straight to the door to get in, without even looking back to me to say goodbye. With working from home for the last 16 months, it has been great to have Dogtopia as a safe place to take them. Now that I will soon be heading back to the office, I won't have to leave them home alone. I haven't utilized their boarding, but plan to when I need it. read more

I asked if I can get a hold of the owner directly and they said that's not an option and they assured me that they would get a hold of me... That was over 3 months ago. And yeah, still no contact to discuss the matter. As much as I should probably give them a call, it seemed like they wanted to brush me away when I initially inquired about getting a hold of the owner. The staff seems nice and when the cameras are on, they do put a lot of work into cleaning up constantly. We have been sending our dog here for daycare and boarding for about a year. We enjoy watching him play and run around on the webcam. We know that he has fun each time we send him since he slips into a "Dogtopia coma" as soon as we get home. Special events (birthdays, puppacinos, etc.) occur during the lunch break (12-2) when the cameras are off but we appreciate the pictures they take and provide at pick up and that are also post on their social media pages. The staff are dedicated to providing a safe environment for the pups and are also very clearly taking Covid protocols seriously. We love that our dog has made new friends - both canine and human - and they do a great job maintaining his socialization skills. This place is the best. They spoil my puppy as if he's their own. I never worry about leaving him there and it seems there's always room for a last minute drop off. The staff is awesome and the facilities are always clean. They even gave him a birthday party when he turned one lol I have zero inclination to bring my dog anywhere else but here.
