Other than the outdoor tropical atmosphere, live performances, and a dance floor, there's nothing special about this place. If you just want to party up and dance and have drinks there, this is your place. But I didn't enjoy my food at all. I went on a Sunday afternoon and ordered raw oysters, a burger, and a surf and turf. Everything took a while to be ready, even the dirty raw oysters. The oysters were the worse oysters I've ever eaten in my life, probably worse than the ones in the Chinese buffet. They came in black and we're really dirty. Sand, dirt, and shells were in every oyster, did not taste good at all. I'm glad I didn't get sick. The burger was standard, the surf and turf was meh. First, I wasn't expecting it to come in a bowl, which made it really hard to cut the steak and shrimp. The shrimps weren't fresh and the steak was chewy and blend. I didn't like the sweet sauce on top either, don't really go together with the steak. Overall, I enjoyed the music but not too much about the food. Everything altogether was over $70. Brought a group of 15 people after a bridal shower. My friend with an open tab of over 5 hours wasn't allowed back in for going out to have a cigarette. I was tackled out by a manager for asking what the reason was my friend wasn't allowed back in. We aren't 22 year old disrespectful people that this place generally deals with. The bar lost 5 hours worth of revenue from about 15 people because they apparently were just looking to fight with customers on their first weekend back to normal. Good job read more

Met my in-laws here on Father's day. Told the hostess we just wanted to drink.. seats us at a table. My in laws showed up and wanted the buffet. My wide decided she wanted the buffet, they charged us for 4 and wouldn't take myself off. ( didn't have 1 bite of food) $44 bucks. Jennnnn behind the bar is seriously the best bartender I have ever haddd - showed up to a smiling face by the entire staff even the kitchen manager came out to check in us - I ordered the white sangria and it was just the perfect amount of sweet with that rum taste behind it. Ordered half price all apps so we got crab cakes and mozz sticks and I've got zero complaints about anything - we got kids for our sangria to keep away the bugs (so smart) and the crab cakes were plentiful (massive) and meaty and delicious - haven't been here in a while but I definitely regret it now - perfect weather perfect atmosphere and perfect company. 100% recommend read more

This was my 3rd time here but my first time coming for the brunch. The food was very good and the staff that was taking care of our table was excellent. They made sure our unlimited mimosas were flowing at all times. Live music was also amazing. I definitely recommend paying them a visit. I will be visiting them again very soon. Perhaps during in the week for one of their weekly evening events. FYI: On the weekends it gets pretty packed. So much so that their huge parking lot space fills up quickly. Our friend was celebrating his birthday at the Dublin Deck on a Friday night so we decided to make the track out to see some live music and have a beer or two. First off, great space. You have to travel some really minor roads to get there. At night, it seems as if youre not near anything. Nestled in a neighborhood, you feel you are away from it all. Also, great parking lot with plenty of space. Attendants will tell you where there are spaces and keep the flow going. Once inside you'll feel like you are inside a tiki bar. Upper and lower bar areas with thatched roofs, volleyball courts, and a large stage for live music. Music piped throughout with a good music level. Our group of eight was able to go dance or retreat to the bar pretty easily even though the place was absolutely packed. At a beachy place like this you are bound to see it all. The skies opened up like the hounds of hell and it began to pour. I don't mean rain- I mean pour ...like Georgia fat rain (anyone who has ever driven down south will know what I mean.) It didnt seem to deter the more intoxicated members of the establishment from dancing- in fact, I think it may have encouraged a few of the patrons on. Enough said, when you go out late to a bar, you're going to see some eye-raising stuff. All in all, I thought it was a good place to hang with friends for a celebration or to belly-up to the bar and people watch. Can't comment on the food so we'll leave that for next time. Bring your tiki and great freaky... There is a road in Patchogue where there are not one, but three outdoor parties going on. We hit 2 out of 3 (which ain't bad as per Meatloaf...) Dublin Deck rocks. We had an absolute blast - live music, big plates of greasy bar food and fun in the evening sun- really what more could you ask for? (Ok a BJ by the volleyball net would be great too...) There are 2 levels- the lower level also gets you to the volleyball net while the upper is a bit more enclosed and has some tables way in the corner. The place is no frills- plastic cups, sand, unpaved parking lot- you get the picture- put your summer stuff on or dress to impress- forget the heels though... I had to keep unsticking my partner in her stilettos...it was a sight... Prices are a bit high - but it is an outdoor summer place so deal with it. Go! read more

However, There was multiple bees nest all over the patio dining area, to the point we had to leave because my grandfather is allergic and we couldn't eat in peace. There was also a hair in our vegan burger, which was not very good to begin with.. and nobody did anything to remedy the situation and make sure we left happy, which we didn't. I even called the manager and they never returned our call. This review is for the bridal shower I recently went to here. It's been quite sometime since I've been to Dublin Deck (easily at least 6 years ago). This place used to be one of our summer time favorites when we were younger. Now it's just kinda meh and I think this is a younger crowd and we just wouldn't fit in as most of us are in our 30s! I got here and needed a chair so I kindly asked one of the waitresses for a seat. First she offered me to sit in a bar stool until I quickly denied her as I was wearing a dress telling her I'm not comfortable. Sorry I'm not comfortable in a backless bar stool in a dress I rather be seated next to people I know rather than a Lone Ranger at a high table. Second... as soon as I deny her she cops this attitude with me telling me that "it's set for 80 people okay. Because 80 people are coming right?" Uh how about I have no idea I am not part of the bridal party and you need to quit your little assuming crap attitude. Sorry I have a problem when waitstaff has attitudes. It tends to leave a sour taste in my mouth. Finally after a few minutes of waiting here comes my folding chair. Next we can have a warm mimosa if we'd like. Yuuuum. No ice or no waitstaff to flag down. I proceed to the bar with two others. We are charged 32 bucks for our drinks because we didn't want mimosas. My friend and I got the buffalo bites, which on the menu it literally states that it's a customers favorite. So we trusted it. MUST HAVE BEEN CUSTOMERS WITH NO TASTE BUDS, IT WAS DISGUSTING. If you had people out there playing volleyball at that time, or took down the nets to have a dance floor, do they understand how much money they would make? The bathrooms are so small, especially the girls. Completely crowded with girls, especially trying to look in the mirror that you can't see your entire outfit in. The mirror came as low as my neck - can I say that the owner MUST be a man?? Luckily there's a handicap bathroom off to the side, much nicer and private. Always a great time here. Jack kills it behind the bar, never skips a beat. Never have to wait for service, even on the busiest of nights. As a former bartender, I know how hard it is to keep up with a busy bar, but these bartenders do. Foods delish, customer service is on par, and drinks are amazing. Couldn't ask for better. Even with all the restrictions due to covid19, they still manage to run a great establishment, while following all the mandatory guidelines, but I am anxiously waiting for them to open back up to norm (personally). Been here twice for happy hour on a Friday. LOCATION: down a random side street off main street in patchogue. Building is located next to a big boating dock. DECOR: I really like the theme and atmosphere of the place. All tiki/island themed decorations and the place is pretty big. Mostly outdoors. FOOD/DRINK: food is not this place's strong point. Baked clams are good, mozz stix average, coconut shrimp bad and fries pickles bad. Coconut shrimp were tiny and a bit too crispy, only got 6 for $11. Fried pickles also $11 and was very unsatisfied. Big portion but only ate half because they didn't taste that good, very plain - no flavor to them. DRINK: drinks are great. Pricey, yes. But pretty strong. I love the fishbowls, $25 and definitely worth it. I would give more stars if it wasn't for the food being below average. Out of the 4 apps I tried I only really liked the baked clams. Situated on the river in Patchogue, Dublin Deck is a very popular night spot. It's decorated in Tiki Bar motif and gives you that steel drum vibe. It's an open air covered restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. It's a great place to go to when you want to enjoy live bands and hang with your friends. I went there for lunch on a quiet Monday afternoon. There were four of us in the party. I had a hankering for wings, and I got lucky. They just so happened to offer 50 cent wings on Mondays. I decided upon the Thai chili Wings and they were outstanding. Hubby had the Lobster Roll with sweet potato fries. It was huge! The Lobster Roll was almost twice as large as he had expected it to be. He said it was very good. My mom and her friend each ordered Fish and Chips in a basket. When the Fish & Chip baskets arrived, I immediately remarked how more than half of that would be taken home! And I was correct! The service was quick and wait staff are friendly and helpful. I can understand how this venue is a summer favorite. By the way, it is only open seasonally from May - Sept. All in all, I thought the restaurant was just fine, and I plan to return to Dublin Deck in the future! read more

It has a variety of different people, but I have noticed the bartenders are extremely negligent when it comes to people are the bar who have been waiting. Came here for the first time to celebrate my daughters graduation about two weeks ago, and the entire family had an amazing time. The food was delicious along with the tasty frozen drinks and we were recommended some really good options from our server, Sangul. She had a great personality and she took care of us in a very friendly, personable manor. The atmosphere is very relaxed and you will have a good time. Well, the night life at this bar was decent. However, the absolute unprofessionalism of the one bouncer made my time here an absolute nightmare. There is a stage that's slightly elevated above the dance floor that had roughly 15-20 people on it. Naturally I joined the crowd. Immediately one of the bouncers kicked me off very rudely. I assumed maybe I was a little too close to the DJ stand, so I complied and moved off not knowing he actually did not want me on the stage at all. Then I stepped back on and was a solid 4 feet away from everyone minding my own business and he comes up to me and kicks me off again and is in my face chest to chest with me screaming cursing and spitting in my face. Wow did I feel attacked. I could not believe he was screaming, spitting and cursing right in my face for standing literally where everyone else was standing and dancing around. I then went to find a manager to inform him of what happened and to find a towel to wipe all the spit off my face and I was explaining to the other bouncers that said they were managers what happened and the same guy came running up got in my face again and started screaming at me again. I sat there nose to nose with him again as he screamed at me and I just took the yelling and spitting like I did the first time. As he was screaming I was looking at the other bouncers like is this actually happening. It seemed like they couldn't believe what was happening either. I can't seem to understand why he felt the need to single me out of everyone else on the stage when I was literally just moving to the music away from everyone else minding my own business. Absolutely ridiculous. Not to mention I look over and he is drinking with some people he knew while he was working! A hot head like him is a liability to have working at your bar/restaurant. Bad service. Just cannot recommend this place. We sat at a table and ordered a lot of food, appetizers, main entrees, burgers and cocktails. Our server (who was actually very nice) came over and told us that they had a long wait with other folks waiting for tables. We exceeded our 90 min time limit on what this place emphatically refers to as "table camping." There were 5 of us. I look around at 4 empty tables for four beside us and got up to use the bathroom. I did not see anyone waiting at the host desk. As a matter of fact, there wasn't anyone at the host desk including the host. It seemed that Management wanted us out of there since they seem extremely OCD about this policy and have very little flexibility in their "policies" even when it financially behooves them. Out bill camr and in the time we were there we spent $290 plus a $55 tip to the server. As I said this isn't the server's fault but poor management. I have heard of this being an issue at Fublin Deck before from other friends in our circle, that we're not physically present with us. This place simply doesn't respect the value their customers bring. I will not return to this restaurant again. There are other places that treat customers much better than this and I will be holding this place accountable for their OCD policies. I could see if there truly was a back log of others waiting but since it appeared as if we were lied to, this is simply unacceptable. As I stated earlier, I cannot recommend this venue. It is poorly micro-managed. I cannot respond to the management response to my above review of this place so I'll place it as an edit. The tables were clear. One in our party ordered a dessert which took about 10 minutes to arrive. The person ate the dessert, slowly. The tables remained clear the entire time, for at least 30 minutes. Also, no-one was waiting, I can assure you, because I was diligent about the experience. When it was busier in the day, tables were turned over quickly and then occupied. Okay, let me start by saying this...the atmosphere of the Dublin Deck was really, really nice. It is located on the Marina in Patchogue, with beautiful views. The place is open and airy, bright and a bit touristy. It looks like a shanty shack, but bigger. It really catches the nautical vibe and it looks like your typical beach bar and restaurant. This is where the charm ends. The food is really sub par. It has all the typical beach bar offerings. The baked clams were WAY too salty. The wings were just...meh. The mozzarella sticks were a bit, well, underdone? The outer coat still tasted like it was still in the batter state. I ordered a chicken sandwich for my entree and it was really, really dry. The drinks were great, but they are super expensive. My other beef? They are tremendously inattentive when you are sitting at the bar, like we were. I don't know the (male) bartender's name, but he really acted like he could give a crap less whether he had a job or not. Since we were a little disgusted by the lack of attention (hey, does it really take 10 minutes to get us a fork?) we grabbed our food and requested to sit on their outdoor deck. Now, the servers who work the floor? Substantially better. The service improved in the seated area, but the food was still not good. That's not their fault, obviously, but it made us disinterested in coming back. I hear the place is jam packed in the evenings when the bar opens to nightlife, but I wasn't going to be there for that. If you have a boat in the marina, like we did, it's not the worst place in the world to stop in for a drink or maybe even an appetizer, but I would never have a meal there again. I gotta say, I've never had a more frustrating experience at a bar in my life than I've had at this place this weekend. Saturday night, I had plans to meet a big group of friends here for a friend's birthday party, but I was working late. I showed up at 12:30, which at any other decent place in New York, is when things are really just starting. But as I walked up to give my ID to the bouncer, he told me that the "doors" were closed for the night. I tried to explain my situation to the bouncer but he wasn't hearing it and kept cutting me off. Now as he's completely shutting me down, A LOT of people are leaving. I can see that if the place was at capacity, they would stop letting people in. But there's no walls, I can see inside the fucking bar - the place was half full. So I wait, because it's my best friend's birthday and I'm not going home. They turned down a lot of people, and the bouncers laughed and made fun of a lot of them, behind their backs. However, several groups of juiced-up drunks show up and apparantly knew some of the bouncers, and all got let in while I stood there watching. But the next group that comes up and slaps the bouncer's hand, I saw my opportunity and snuck in with. So now that I'm finally in, I'm ready to spend my money on some $5 Bud Light cans. I stayed here with my friends until almost 3am, puzzled the entire time about why they would stop letting customers in 3 (or more?) hours before close. This place is only any good in the summer, you'd think they would want to make as much money as they could. Now that I think of it, I've been here several times before and have had problems. An arbitrary 23+ age limit for males one time, and another when my friend was denied entry because he was wearing a yellow Polo shirt, which is apparantly forbidden or else you'll be confused with the humungous monster bouncers they have working here. In conclusion, Dublin Deck has a great summer atmosphere, but that's about all it has going for it. The staff are complete assholes without any regard for it's patrons. If you're going to go, do it during the daytime when you can avoid the ridiculous $10 cover charge, or at least go early enough if you can - my friends said they waited 45 minutes to get in when they got there at 11. I've been to a lot of bars all over the world, and this is the first one that I felt compelled to sign into Yelp, and write a terrible review about. That should say it all. read more
