I've been here twice (both on Wednesday for trivia...) and both visits were vastly different. I don't have to tell you that it was an Irish themed bar and it's vibe was giving dive-bar. The trivia was the same, and so was the food...maybe. The service was definitely different. The first visit it was pretty busy but the server was able to manage and I believe she was the only one for the whole place. The second time was significantly worse and it was substantially less patrons. Homegirl was slow and spent a lot of time sitting with the patrons chatting. Ok so the food...the first visit I had wings and fries and the second I had the burger sliders. Typical bar food and it wasn't bad but I wasn't wow'd either. The fries and mozzarella sticks were hot and fresh, so that was nice. The slider buns were Kings Hawaiian and toasted (a little too toasted because they were slightly burnt). read more

Great place to sit outside or inside at the bar. Does have that pub feel and is great. Courtney was the best being attentive to everything and everyone. Had a drink for my friend and the Cosmo tasted like there was no liquor at all in it but Courtney took care of it. Food is Irish bar fare but good and priced well. Nights on weekends are loud inside and busy but great music and great staff. Thumbs up. read more

Water or drinks they are making sure you are taken care of! Drinks are definitely on point too which makes for a good time. If your looking for a local hang out this is a great place to go. The enviorment was super cool. The wait staff was amazing. They followed up continuously and the food was amazing. They have a large variety, they even had a Monte Cristo that was great! So being both part Irish and a lover of anything genuinely Irish, I was pointed here and told it was a true and blue Irish pub. Well, when I came here, it wasn't bad. The service was friendly, bartenders were friendly and well the bouncer did his job like he's supposed to (Won't name any names, but it's not the bouncer's fault if you leave your ID behind, they don't want to get fired for letting something slip through the cracks just as much as anyone else would like to keep their job) The only thing is, I've been to true blue Irish bars before, both in Ireland and here in Texas (now Ireland, obviously, I'm not including in this following statement), most Irish bars have a little more than one or two Irish drinks. Most of what I saw beer-wise was domestic nonsense (No offense meant, I don't care much for the basic run-of-the-mill beers-will drink Miller if I have to). If I recall, I think they do have Guinness; and at least they had Smithicks, but not a huge amount of variety. The food menu looked good, but just having gotten off work, I wasn't staying long enough to eat. I did enjoy the live band, that was a great experience. I will say, I would give it a second shot, but it's too much of a drive for me and I no longer work out in that area. Still, my favorite Irish bar is Danny's. (Also, if you're upset about being asked not to smoke inside a place, just accept that's the rule. I'm not a smoker, and I don't mind a smoky bar, but even I have to move a bit of there's too much smoke around me, it messes with my breathing). read more

Got kicked out because I was smoking Delta 8 which is legal on the patio while the bartender proceeded to tell me she was a pot smoker but I needed to leave. Real classy way to lose business. Plus everything in there is sticky. That place is a wash and there are plenty of cleaner nicer places to have a good night at. read more

Before even entering this place for the first time with a group of four we were harassed by an incredibly over served chick. Inside was eh. Thought it was going to be cute but it's super divey/outdated. We came to play pool and grab food. The burger was good. Server was nice. Only two pool tables so had a bit of a wait but eventually did play. Seems like others only came to play too. No one was seated at a table and the bar was less than half full. Also I don't know if they don't have uniforms or what but WTH were the employees wearing?! See through clothing at an older rundown dive "pub" doesn't seem to correlate. Drinks were very strong, which I don't mind but others might. I felt bad I suggested the place since I've driven past it often to go to boomerjacks. Would write 0 stars if I could! They literally have a dude waiting like a vulture in the parking lot. The moment he sees you're stepping towards boomerjacks and not their establishment, they jump on you like flies on a turd! They tell you "come in and buy one drink and you can park there". So, we go in to buy one drink, as the parking lot is packed full at boomer's and we didn't feel like looking for a spot forever. They take our IDs at the door, swipe them in their card reader and tell you that they're signing you up for a "year long membership". The guy started arguing with my friend after he scanned my ID. I was just going to go buy a drink and I looked back and saw him getting pissed off and not letting my friend come any further into the bar because he didn't have his ID on his person. Never have I ever stepped into a more disgruntled, run down establishment. Will never go back and will make sure other people know that this place is the scum of the earth. I went there on a Wednesday night and to my surprise, karaoke night! Now, I do love me some karaoke. But I agree with the people who wrote before, it's very different inside. It's a bar/restaurant look but it's supposed to be an Irish pub? But, it's definitely not fancy and I can see why they haven't cared much to change the way the inside looks. It's definitely smoky in there so if you don't like that atmosphere, DO NOT ENTER! I was going to give three stars but I kicked it up a notch because the service was awesome, karaoke songs were fun and up to date and it was packed so they must be doing something right. I tried Dublin Square for the first time last night. The whole ex-chicago group got together for a bears vs packers game watching. I think Dublin Sq. needs more waitresses but the one I interacted with was absolutely amazing. The whole restaurant's was packed, so was the parking lot. Beer was cold and yes Guinness is on tap. The food took awhile but I wasn't worried, it was busy. We tried the Irish fries which were like Potato skins but sliced with a huge mound of cheese, pieces of bacon and green onions on top. The hubby ordered the french dip, overall the sandwhich was kinda small but he said it was great. I ordered the wings basket in honey BBQ and everything was quite delish. Overall, with two beers, two entrees and an appetizer the bill came to 33 bucks w/o tip. read more

I stopped off here before meeting up with some friends for St Patty's day thinking this place would have a good vibe. I found another run down bar instead. The service here was pretty good, but it's hard to say when there was only a few people there at the time. The strong point of this place was the prices. Wish i could comment on the food, but i didn't get to try anything. I'm cool with the run down dive bar feel, i'm not cool with a run down bar that just needs a good cleaning. I've been in some nasty bathrooms, but this has to be by far one of the worst. There really isn't any reason for this in the middle of the day, but you could tell it hasn't been clean in several weeks. I don't have much good to say about this place other than the prices of the beer, but when it comes down to it i don't mind paying a little bit more to have a place that is clean. read more

The Wednesday night band for karaoke is hot and talented. The sound is well balanced and complement the singers. However, the chick running the rotation has no clue how to manage a rotation properly. If you get there after the first rotation you'll be waiting a long time before she cycles in any new singers. They also take several breaks that are very long. Drink specials are inconsistent and the regular prices are high. This could be my regular spot if these issues were corrected. However, chances are I won't be back to find out. You're better off waiting for the weekend to go to Texas Billiards or Sparks on Rufe Snow. Another thing of note, this place occasionally has outdoor music events that are so loud they disturb the neighborhoods for blocks around until late hours of the night, even on a weeknight. read more

NYE 2011. Thought this would be a fun place to try. From what I saw this is definantly a locals bar. Saw some guys WIFE get pushed by a guy, and then the manager ejected the guys HUSBAND while letting the drink regular stay in the bar. From what I understand, tabs are often padded...but it's okay, because the bartenders apparently overpour for that specific reason. If questioned, you are asked to leave the premesis. Lots of industry people, lots of guys, very few women. Haven't tried the day time, but I doubt I will. read more

I don't know how in the world a place can make "loaded french fries" (they called them Irish Fries) and them STILL taste bland... with cheese, bacon, and chopped up onions. But, they did it! The draft beer also had a little bit of a "funk" to the taste/smell, probably due to the lines needing to be cleaned. BUT, the prices were reasonable and the service was good. So, I'm not completely slamming the place. But, there are definitely better options out there. Others have lamented having to smoke outside, blah blah blah. Good! I don't smoke and I don't really like going home SMELLING like smoke. Came here the other night for My boyfriend's bother's birthday. We were trying to find a bar that was close to home where we could have fun. All I can say is, this place is extremely smokey. It's as if all of the smokers in the area come here for their weekly meetings. As soon as you walk in, it's a cloud of smoke and it's everywhere. If your not okay with smoking, or being around it... This is not the place for you. (I left smelling like an ashtray, from head to toe). The band that they had that night was decent, the took requests and they were pretty good. Some songs they played they completely butchered, and some they actually did a great job at. They were playing songs from the 90's the entire night, which I don't mind... But for it having been the weekend I was hoping for more dancing music... Which brings me to the dance floor, which was the cutest littlest thing. It fit maybe 6 people comfortably. It was so small that when we tried to dance we constantly had to move to avoid hitting each other. The server we had was also a bit of an airhead, she constantly was disappearing and couldn't figure out hoe to separate the tabs even when they were explained to her really slowly. Never been here before and I propably never will be back. The prices of drinks are bit steep for the area and what you get, kinda weak a bit. The staff is dressed cute but some of the ladies need to rethink their skirtshortness. I dont like starvecones or bimbos, but just saying. It's a bar that serves food. Very good food. They are able to allow their patrons to smoke. Parents, please rethink your choices when bringing minors here. I'm not going to stop smoking for you, ever. There is a small group of waitresses who have been there for more than minute, and they do a great job training the new staff and leading by example. Yes it can get loud inside. So site outside on the great patio. In the afternoon there is pleanty of shade, misting fans and TVs. Outside is my favorite place to hangout. Very much a cafe feel out there. My only suggestion would be to watch the patio for new customers more frequently. You can find yourself sitting there for 10 minutes with no one in sight. (Money 4 Nothing.) we had a great time watching the crowd and sipping on drinks! E for Effort! and I mean that in the best way possible. This venue used to be a Black Eye Pea before they converted it to a bar. Though, I just feel it lacks the feel of a full blown bar. Dont get me wrong, I like this place but you can still feel the Black Eye Pea feeling of it. Which is why I know it used to be a Black Eye Pea place, because it looks like one. I think.. or it was something else before. But there is a center area of the bar that is dark and feels like a Irish bar with bugs being served and musty smell feeling and etc. Though, and area outside of the inside bar area, just still screamed cafe to me. Needless to say, it worked out great for what they are doing on Monday Nights. Poker Night, they had the option of making the tables into poker tables and having a huge group of people play poker and have a good ole time. It had plenty of TV's and lots of beer specials on the walls. Though, dont get me wrong, i love my American sports and etc.. But just like every other sports bar in Fort Worth, they just played football and baseball. Still not a place for that true irish man that likes Rugby, Soccer, Cricket or etc.. Just seems like an american type of bar that has a flare of Irish to it. Dont get me wrong, I like this place and Im sure to go back and have a great time. But I must admit the staff was very attractive! They had short plaid skirts on with knee high boots with skimpy tops that allowed anyone to see skin/cleavage. So that is a plus, But if you ever been to a Irish pub, they have live music alot of the time and have a HUGE selection of beers from all around the world. Not saying this place didnt, but just seemed like your american made beers and etc.. Also Irish bars have a passion to them with history and family background.. Example: Richmond Arms in Houston, might not be irish but has a huge passion in the bar. Has a huge ora about this place that makes it comfortable. You can read about the history of the bar and people that have came in and out of the bar. Shirts being hung on the walls from famous players of sports and signed autographs of famous sports fans and celebrities in Soccer and etc. perhaps familly pictures of the owners and staff. Fados: You know you have passion here, always plays irish style of music and you can feel GREEN from the time you walk in. has that musty feeling and you always expect to hear that irish or english accent some where in that bar.. And those people call that place.. their 2nd home. Its a familly you are apart of when you walk in there. But I like bar, just lacks that real passion. But great parking and a great place to join your friends to play games, have cold american beers on sale, have a smoke, go to the patio and watch cars drive by, with clean tables and clean restrooms. So needless to say, will I go back.. perhaps not my first choice.. But I have seen better.. read more
