I'm not sure if I just missed it, but I didn't see any ice cream there to "scoop." Everything was soft serve, which means it's the same exact ice cream you can get at McDonalds or countless other places around the country. I will say they had plenty of flavors to put into said vanilla soft serve ice cream, and that the girls behind the counter seemed to know how to make a good shake (the butterscotch malt was actually a good suggestions, Andrew). However, at least for ice cream, this is exactly like any other soft serve ice cream place in the country. Nothing special. You can skip it. read more

Dub's drive-in is great!. It's small but the food is fantastic. We had their deluxe cheese burger and the fish sandwich. It was cooked fresh and the onion rings are to die for. And I've definitely eaten here more than any other place in Sandpoint... dude, it's an original burger joint with soft serve ice cream. It's just... original! And basic. And classic. Disgusting! Went to this establishment for lunch today and should have gotten back in the car as soon as I saw how dirty the door to the entrance was. Inside a gal was wiping off a table and seemed blind to the rest of the filth that encompassed the interior. As my friend ordered us food, I stood there as I continued to look around noticing dirty windows, ceiling, counters, floor, seats, tables (not from lack of staff as they had watermarks from a sloppy attempt at wiping), the inside plexiglass, everything. I could see part of the kitchen - filth. Went to wash up in the bathroom and it was extremely dirty. The food? GROSS!!! We ordered two cheeseburgers, onion rings, and cheese curds (also overcharged - special said either fries, tots, or onion rings but they charged extra for the onion rings). Still trying to be optimistic, I thought the burger looked nice but then took a bite. OMG so gross! Even though the burger was thin, it seemed chunky (like VERY bottom grade barrel beef) In fact, it made McDonald's regular cheeseburger patty seem like cream of the crop! The onion rings were overcooked and the cheese curds were not appetizing. The ranch was also not good. We threw the burgers and cheese curds in a bag and brought them home. Only ONE of three dogs would even touch it and our dogs eat EVERYTHING! Also, the staff was yelling in the kitchen about or at an 18-year-old. This experience sucked and we won't be back. Wish I had read the reviews BEFORE trying it as I think cleanliness should be key, especially these days! Hopefully, the health department will investigate someday. read more

My husband and I stopped by to eat at Dub's recently and were shocked by the employee's clothing (or rather, lack of it). A see-through excuse for a shirt with a dark bra under it and shorts with the girl's butt hanging out is NOT appropriate work attire. Food comes out and a gal (I believe was in charge) asks if we would like any sauces. Daughter wants ketchup, I want tarter, wife wants fry sauce. Well that never happened! I visited Sandpoint the weekend of May 31-June 1, coming in from the Portland, Oregon area to see my daughter and family who live in Sandpoint. I was appalled at the lack of sanitation exhibited at the restaurant in light of COVID-19. The restaurant was packed, there were no signs for social distancing. People were standing on top of each other. Behind the counter the cashiers and waitstaff were also crowded. The wait staff did not wear gloves or masks. Or even wash their hands or use hand sanitizer. In fact, there was no hand sanitizer in sight.I personally witnessed one cashier wipe her nose, wipe her hand on her pants and then serve up an ice cream cone and hand it to a customer. All the food was handled with bare hands before being handed to the customers. This is appalling!! This would not be allowed even if there was NOT a pandemic. I am so disappointed. This is one of our favorite stops for ice cream or onion rings when we visit Sandpoint. I expected so much more from Dubs! All the other stops and shops we visited in town and the nearby vicinity paid attention to social distancing and heightened sanitary efforts. read more

Had lunch there today and unfortunately the quality of the food has gone down to match the prices going up..I ordered the same thing I usually do..The Patty melt, this time the bread was soggy, the meat gray and unappetizing and so much cheese and onions that was pretty much all you could taste. I had asked for some fry sauce to go along with the tots I ordered , she said she would just put it in the bag..got back to work, no fry sauce..that's not a big deal though..it's a shame though...first time I had one in 2012 when I moved here it was really quite tasty, hence the reason I always get it..After today though I doubt I'll go back.... read more

There were unsupervised kids running around the joint raising hell. Staff was more interested in gossiping with their friends in the lobby than taking an order.
