Stopped by here with our kids on the way back to Montana. It's affordable, lots of options, and very tasty. People there are friendly. The shakes are good, the mozzarella sticks are GREAT. I have been here a couple of times over the past year. Every time I walk in I am always greeted by a smiling person behind the counter. They are always ready to take your order and they have been perfect every time. They always deliver your order to you and ask if you need anything else. This time I ordered the big cheeseburger combo. It came with a a drink, I chose Diet Dr. Pepper and fries. The fries were hot and crispy and have a flavorful batter type coating, but not too thick. Their fry sauce is good and compliments the fries. The burger itself comes with dill pickles, lettuce, and chopped onions. It also comes with mustard and ketchup. I know many people don't like ketchup on their burgers, but I really do when you get dill pickles. read more

I wish it was possible to give half stars because I'd deduct one half for the frozen patty but everything else here was top notch. Bacon double cheese was well prepared and bacon was just right crispy. Fries were a commercial frozen variety but a super thick cut served piping hot. Was was amazing to me is that these burgers were cooked to order but the service was FAST!! The young lady at the counter was friendly and her service was efficient. This place was recommended to us by our hotel front desk so we decided to give it a try. We love to support local places. Especially in small towns. Well I say skip it. We got food poisoning. This was the only thing we ate that day so I know it came from there. Ordered 2 jr. Bacon cheese burgers an onion ring and fries. It was about $40. The burgers were super messy I couldn't tell if they chopped the lettuce, onion, and pickle and mixed it with mayo or if whoever made it just slopped it together. Every bite caused the mess to fall out. My bacon burger had 2 small pieces of bacon and the bf had more bacon than burger. The lady told me they bread their onion rings they weren't good we didn't even finish them, the fries would of been good had they not been overcooked. Oh yeah the ranch and tartar sauce im sure just sit out they were both weird and sour tasting. While waiting at the window I noticed their was a tub with milk, whip cream and other milkshake items sitting on the counter we sat at the window for atleast 15 minutes it didn't move and they weren't to busy to put it away... I now wish I would of just drove off. I will add the lady who took our order was friendly. This place seems like it's been around a while hopefully they get thier stuff together before the health department shuts them down and honestly portion sizes would of been worth what we paid had it not been so bad. read more

Under new ownership for the past couple years now so many of these negative reviews no longer apply. They've really changed everything up there for the better and it all tastes so good. Great gluten free options too. A new revived favorite of ours and won't break the bank like some other burger place in town. Great service. Clean and nice. Proud new owners. read more

Just tried their drive-through for the first time. Husband and I each ordered a JR. Bacon cheeseburger and that was it. $5.45 each. Burger was on a soft fresh bun, juicy and flavorful. Bacon was crisp and with melty cheese, sweet pickles, sauce and red onion- mmmmm! delicious! Perfect inexpensive, quick lunch that hit the spot. Actually, a decent plate of food. I was skeptical, I'm not going to lie. The ambiance is totally misgiving, however service is friendly and super fast. It's an easy drive through for a quick bite with a temper tantrum/ hangrey child. Burgers are good, texture is great and exactly what you'd expect ordering a burger. Burger was certainly nothing to rave about as it was simply a frozen patty thrown on a grill and way over cooked. The fries were yummy but yah really got to dunk them in ketchup first. Man, this place has really gone downhill. Their special board said double cheeseburger with large fries and a drink $11.50. Add bacon .95, add cheese .50. I got the special and added cheese... they actually charge you $1, not .50. Because it's a double they put two pieces of cheese... didn't know that. They should put cheese = $1 on the board. Very misleading. Says it comes with a large fry. The bag of fries that came with it was SO small and they didn't even fill it up. It also had two tater tots in it. The burger was meh tasting. I think Serv-A-Burger makes the best hamburger in Sandpoint. There, I said it. It's just perfect every time, all mouthwatering and juicy. The beef is from Wood's, which I'm sure makes a difference. So why no fifth star? For one thing, their service is friendly but slowwwww. I mean, I go through a drive-through because I don't want to spend 20 minutes inside the restaurant. So more often than not, I end up sitting at the drive-through window for 15-20 minutes waiting. This is a hassle. The other thing is I don't really like anything but their burgers. Their fries aren't nearly as good as Dub's and I don't like their chicken tenders, cheese sticks, or jalapeno thingies. So when I go there, I don't really have the option of getting anything else. Really, if the burgers weren't so amazing I wouldn't go here at all and would just hit Dub's. But the burgers at Serv-A-Burger are better than the ones at Dub's by a mile, so I keep going back. I just have to know in advance that it's going to take forever AND I'm only getting a burger. My waistline thanks me for this, of course, but man, sometimes I want fries! But burger aficionados should definitely check it out, because the burgers here rule. read more

I absolutely love this place! I am from the Portland area and every time I come into Sandpoint I make a point to come here. Friendly service hometown flavor and awesome burgers and shakes. I saw this place perched on a small hill just above our heads as we drove to our hotel. I knew the minute I saw it that I needed to eat here. So we did. And I was glad! The burgers here are the kind that are thrown together with melty cheese and greasy meat. Yum! After a long day at the water park, it was just what I needed. They have all sorts of fried goodies, from onion rings to jalapeno poppers. Their fries were good and that made me happy! The staff was very friendly, even when I returned to the counter to order a $1 soda and used my debit card (the water in Idaho is gross tasting). Can't say much but horrible and very unsanitary. My parents stoped there and halfway through a burger found a very long hair inside it. With the current health crisis I do not understand this being acceptable at all. My mother did not want go back inside so when I heard about about it the next day I called them that's when it got worse. The person who identified herself as the manager did not care at all. Once I told her nobody was looking for a free meal but would like to know the disgusting and unsafe practice was being addressed she was very dismissive. I am shure from the conversation nothing will happen they donor care at all. But I'd heard some folks just think Servaburger was great...I thought maybe I was unfair or they just had a bad day, lost the salt or inexperienced cook. Let's try it again. Waited 20 minutes in drive through. We were the the only ones in drive through. Only four people seated inside...ours was the only order up...yikes. Paid $21.00 for three standard burgers, two fries and one regular drink. So, I'm thinking and hoping the food would justify a rather hefty bill for "fast food". Nope. Burgers were basic frozen, thin and completely bland and tasteless. Fries...ok. Why do people think this is good? Perhaps they've never really had a decent burger so just don't know the difference.
