Just had my nose piercing replaced here. They did a great job! Excellent advice and service.

First off, the shop is very clean and well organized. The staff however, well one person in particular, was not so pleasant. I drove an hour to this shop because of the reviews I've read. My friend and I went in wanting piercings, well I've wanted another tattoo for a while Now, so I figured why not. Suzzie, the tattoo artist helped us at the front desk and when I told her what I wanted she basically denied me until I threatened to go elsewhere. Her reasoning? Very unprofessional and not necessary, and not worth repeating. She had the attitude of "I have better things to be doing" and as soon as she was done with my tattoo she went back to being on her phone. While she made my tattoo look nice, the clean up of it was not so nice. If I decide to go back here I will NOT be going to Suzzie and I highly recommend that no one else does either. read more

While in Dubuque visiting family, one of the things that I wanted to do was get some new ink. I called and Greg had a last minute cancellation and I was able to get in the same afternoon. My amazing 80 year old aunt came along with me to watch. I showed him what I wanted. He brought up a few pictures off of Google and we were in business. Greg was absolutely amazing. Very friendly. Interesting to talk with and very professional. The shop was spotless, has a great layout and some amazing artwork on the walls. I was charged a very reasonable price for what I had done.(expected it to be twice as much) and couldn't be happier. If I were staying in town longer, I would go back for some more work. So, I am not really sure where to start.  I went into this shop yesterday to get a quote done that I had picked out over a year ago. it said "inhale confidence exhale doubt" I was just working on loosing some weight before I had it done. I had it placed on the right side of my lower rib cage. Honestly, I could not be more bummed out. I am super dissapointed with how it turned out.  It is just sloppy and not at all what I had expected. When I was at the shop, and was finished,  I looked in the mirror. The light was low, and then i was looking at it backwards, so it was hard to get a good look at it.  I did notice that the "h" in inhale was off, but I figured I would wait until it healed to see if it was going to need some attention. (I have 3 other tattoos from elsewhere and from experience, they look better when healed.) So I paid the shop and left. I had taken a picture so I could see it the correct way, instead of backwards in the mirror, and was really shocked with what I saw. It doesn't line up at all with original picture. The "inhale confidence" is completely off and just not clean.  The "h" and "a" in inhale run together, the "h" is just awful, worse than I originally thought, the "f" in confidence is goofed up, as well as the "n" and the "c." I am beyond upset that I will most likely being getting a coverup somewhere else, or possibly just having it removed all together.  I am not sure I will be able to get myself to get another tattoo once this one is dealt with, but I do know that this is not going to be a place I would reccommend. I have now officially learned the hard way that you get what you pay for.  I would definitely urge anyone to just spend the extra money from the start and go somewhere well reputable, because it definitely isn't going to be a cheap fix if you hate it. read more

Four women from my family, my grandma, aunt, wife, and I, walked into Dubuque Tattoo Club on a random Friday in July, expecting consultations and to make our first appointment to receive four small tattoos. Turns out we walked in on exactly the right day, and Greg and Suzy were able to work us all in that afternoon between appointments. The shop was perfectly clean and the staff was professional and kind in every aspect of our experience. The atmosphere was very chill and fun - a movie was playing in the background and the walls were lined with tons of artwork to look at while we waited, along with good conversation while the ink was applied. This was my first time getting a Tattoo and I have heard great things about this place. I walked in and immediately felt like I was their main concern. After a couple meetings we set up a time to get my tattoo done. Greg Howell was my artist and he was amazing. Took me through what to expect and how it would feel, asked me through the process and if i was feeling okay or if i needed a break.
