SLOW!! 2 donuts and a coffee should of took less then it took for me to write this!!!!

The donuts are really great, unfortunately all the special options don't show on online ordering or the tablet when you walk in so you have to order at the counter which isn't a big deal as the line does move but the donuts are made to order so they do take quite a while to come out especially if there's a few people ahead of you. read more

This place is a cool little shop a few doors down from a great bagel shop and Kroger. Their donuts are pretty good and they have a kiosk you order from when you walk in. Orders come out pretty quickly and the staff is kind. My only reason for 4 not 5 stars is they dip the donuts into the frosting when they are extremely hot and a lot of it runs off the donut into the box. Understaffed and if they worked any slower you could watch yourself age right before your eyes. They pulled donuts right out of fryer steaming hot and proceeded to add toppings which ran off the donuts right to the bottom of the box. We ended up with $26 of nothing but a soggy mess. This was my first experience at duck donuts and I will be back! We got half a dozen donuts and two medium frozen coffees and tipped the employees all for $30. I feel that's reasonable in today's world and granted the location we are in. Peanut butter donut: 5/10 not bad tasted very nutty and not so much like PB. French toast donut (my favorite): 10/10 so freakin good, tasted like it was straight from a reassuring making homemade French toast (very sweet). We love coming to this location for our spontaneous cheat days after the gym. It is small but they make good use of the space with their merchandise hanging on these sides and the pickup counter in front of some counter seats in the front. Every time we've visited the staff has always been very chill and friendly. The donuts themselves are the ultimate splurge. You see the whole process right in front of you from the frying of the fresh donuts to the sweet toppings being arranged on top. They also come up with fun seasonal flavors that don't disappoint. Some of our favorites are the Flip Flop, the Pumpkin Roll, and Cookies and Cream. It's a totally different experience to buying donuts at say Dunkin Donuts or your local food markets bakery. The dripping icing when you take out your fresh treat from your box of serendipity just adds to the made to order donuts. When we walked in, we were shocked at the reality of what duck donuts is! Every order is made fresh, right down to the actual donut itself and the toppings. The staff was incredibly helpful, friendly, and so accommodating. For as long as this franchise been around, I never had one until two days after Thanksgiving. Don't judge me for my bestie judged me enough as is. The place was clean. Merchandise neatly on the wall. The cashier was nice and helped me with my picks. The guy making my donuts put on a show for me with the drizzle. They employees here were fun and funny. When I received my order, I actually took pics! Some of my photos have a bite missing. Anyway, the Maple Bacon was my favorite followed by S'mores. I very much enjoyed Blueberry Lemonade and Sunrise. She was frustrated that we asked a question about one of the flavors to the cashier. Then when she handed us a donut on a paper plate, we asked for a box (because there was no seating- so we had to take it to go)- this also clearly irritated her and she responded "That's why it's only a dollar" and rolled her eyes (this was a $7 milkshake with a donut). We apologized for the inconvenience and explained that we needed the box because of the seating. She sighed and conceded. Franchise owner is probably doing the cost/benefit analysis of having just ONE more person per shift and maybe not slinging enough fried dough for that 3rd person. Look, you're gonna wait. Either because of the Covid restriction (only 5 in the store at one time) or because the donuts are made to order. Also, over-indulgent parents will bloat wait time by letting their progeny try to navigate donut selections that have like 3 billion combinations. I watched a kid almost come to tears over whether to get sprinkles or Oreo bits OR both. (It might be a tad hypocritical to say all of that because made-to-order donuts are pretty much the definition of what might be considered over-indulgent). But if you can get through the Wow,This Isn't KK or DD crowd, then you might get a shot at some pretty excellent donuts. Base cake donut plain is just plain fabulous. That thing will soak a napkin in about 4 seconds. You're gonna have to walk a lot of beach eating these things. But you will eat them. Mine were fresh, hot, and a reward for having sterling marks on my cholesterol bloodwork. If you eat Ducks Donuts daily or even weekly you aren't going to make Christmas. But don't worry about any of that--the way 2020 is going--you may as well get a 1/2 dozen every day. There are worse ways to go. read more

We visited this morning in our PJ's for the first time and it was totally worth it! The hand dipped and topped donuts are super yummy and the staff was very friendly.
