It's super bright, colorful, and fun. The llama pictures on the walls were really cool and made the whole place feel playful and unique. The staff greeted us as soon as we walked in, which was nice. They also had printed menus you could grab and read easily instead of just staring up at a board, which made it simple to look through all the options. I also thought it was really fun that they had board games on each table, which made it a great place to sit, hang out, and enjoy your dessert. I ordered the Bubble Waffle "Dolly Dream", but swapped the Nutella for peanut butter, yummm! The bubble waffle itself was soooo good. Warm, soft, and just the right texture with the ice cream. It definitely felt like more of a dessert experience than just grabbing a regular ice cream cone. We would 100% come back. The waffle itself was delicious -- warm, crisp on the outside, and soft on the inside -- but I'll be honest, that bright blue Cookie Monster ice cream left me with... let's just say some lingering side effects for about four days. (Consider yourself warned!) The ice cream flavor was okay -- nothing particularly special -- but everything else came together nicely, especially with the Nutella drizzle. My fiancée ordered The Dolly Llama Biscoff, which featured horchata ice cream, Biscoff cookies, and caramel sauce in a waffle cone. That one was hands-down the better choice -- rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. I definitely had menu envy. The staff was friendly and patient, and the shop itself had a fun, inviting atmosphere with plenty of dessert options to explore. Even though my choice wasn't my favorite, I can see the potential here. Such a fun dessert shop! The interior had such a great ambiance, lots of engaging things for the eyes to see, like murals, neon signs, colorful seating, comfy chairs, and of course tasty treats! Food: 4/5 the waffles were warm for some of our orders and not warm for the others. Dairy options were great as reported by my family! The dairy-free options were made from soy milk, wasn't amazing but can't expect it to be as good as real ice cream :( if you are lactose sensitive like me, I'd rather risk it next time. Service: 5/5 nice cashier and when one of our orders were missing they didn't fight us about it and just made the order again. I chose the Liége Jr with salted caramel ice cream and caramel sauce. Hubby had the regular Liége, coffee ice cream, with milk chocolate sauce, chocolate chips, & chocolate sprinkles. The sweet flavor of the warmed Liége with the ice cream makes my taste buds dance!! This is gonna be a dangerous spot for me! YUMMMMMM!!! The franchise owners are so wonderful & sweet!!! I came in hoping this wasn't one of these newer shops that goes over the top with their desserts. You know, the kind that just throws loads of stuff on a plate or in a bowl or in a mason jar and call it epic. Those places charge you an arm and a leg and leave you feeling sick. But that wasn't this place, at least not with what I ordered. I got the Llama Gone Nuts on the OG Liege and it was incredible. I never give reviews, but I loved this so much (and said as much at least 10x while eating it) that I felt like to needed to. I also wanted to be able to look back and see what I ordered next time I'm in MB, lol. Thought the portion size was good but not too much, and the price wasn't over the top either. The vibe was fun and clean, the service was great - the young lady was super helpful and pleasant from the start. The only feedback I'd give to make it better and easier for new customers is to simplify the names of the different offerings. Like waffle, waffle jr, and bubble waffle maybe? The OG Liege and Jr and mini and so forth felt confusing and unnecessarily complicated. But I'd still recommend this shop highly, and we'll be back! read more
