We've been going to Ducky's for years. The good- They have great package deals where you can get some great rates for multiple car washes. Most of the time the lines are manageable and usually don't have to wait too long. They recently simplified the packages so you have three choices for regular washes. The not so good- I felt that it used to be more consistent but now I'm not sure how clean it will be depending on how busy it is. There are times where I still have areas. I need a more thorough vacuum or there are streaks in the windows generally, it's clean, but it doesn't seem to get all the small, smaller details. read more

I came in because a friend threw up all over my back seat! I knew it was going to be a hefty price but here at Ducky's they gave me a great price with a car wash and interior car clean included!! By the end of it, the horrible smell was gone and my back seat was good as new. The customer service by everyone, especially Mayra the manager, was amazing!! Ducky's gets the car washed but not the best of jobs. For $49.99 you expect a clean interior and spotless exterior. That's the problem with the machine car washes, they miss many spots. The cupholder was still dirty and looked like wasn't even wiped at all! Dashboard still had some dirt. After coming out of the wash. You have to wait in line and park the car to dry but they take so long to get to your car that the car is dry already haha. i've been going to Duckys's ever since Steve Monkale started it over 20 years ago. I have visited all of the car washes on the Peninsula and I only now go to San Carlos because they do the best job, at the fastest rate of speed and above all, they're very, very friendly. I have a Landscape business and the can get quite dirty inside and out. I've never heard from anybody in San Carlos about the extra takes to clean my . This means a lot to me. read more

Swirl marks throughout the paint job of my brand new vehicle. Look at the posted picture at the point of reflection of the sun, and those swirl marks run completely down both sides nose to tail. They use old school mechanized car wash conveyor systems (the vehicle is pulled through a fixed array of brushes, high‑pressure nozzles, and dryers). A detailer will be able to polish this out. But at a considerable expense to me. They did a nice job of manually wiping down and cleaning the interior for $40. First time and THE LAST time. Currently my go-to car wash -- dependable and thorough! I realize I need to take better and more frequent care of my car. So any time I book my self-care appointments, CeCe (my car) also gets a wash. I used to want to do everything myself, but these days my energy and time are limited. So I appreciate Ducky's efficiency and expert service. I usually do the middle range (formerly named Deluxe) and occasionally get the full spa treatment. Staff are always professional and friendly. I believe I've written a review for this Ducky's Car Wash in San Carlos before but I had to do it again. Phenomenal, friendly and completely professional. The manager, Mayra, is a wonderful lady. The entire crew put in tons of effort (and it's NOT easy) into their cars. If they notice any damage prior to washing, the crew will point it out. I purchased a 15 washes pass and I use it when I need to. Love that it never expires. Expensive at first, but it well pays off. People can't believe that my car is 7 years old especially since it's always parked outside. Last weekend when I went to get a wash (Lucky Duck) a gentleman asked if I'd like to get the headlights cleaned up. For $35 I got my headlights cleaned and I can honestly say that they're 80 percent better than when they started. The crew spent 30-40 minutes working on them. Watch your belongings! Fraudsters/thieves here. When we got our car back, we noticed our Fastrak Flex was opened. At first, we thought it was accidentally knocked to the ground when they weee cleaning. However, this was inside our cup holder AND, for anyone who's tried to open it, you'll see that it's really hard to do so, so this was no accident. Not only was the cover off, but the inside black part/chip was hanging out. We didn't notice the cover was gone at first. When we went back to show the manager, he asked for the pieces, went to talk to the worker, and all of the sudden it was magically put back together! We called Fastrak and asked for a new one. I came early on a weekday for just a basic exterior wash, Daily Duck. Since it wasn't busy, the service rep tried to convince me to get a more expensive package with a bunch of extras like carpet shampoo and wax. I declined. Checked in with Yelp for $3 off, and they charged me for the Lucky Duck which was $22 (Daily Duck was less than $15). I told the cashier about this discrepancy and they said the service rep had told him Lucky Duck. The charge couldn't be reversed. Went through the car wash, and my car got the Lucky Duck. Honestly, you're better off washing your own car at home. I paid for a full wash and my car still came out dirty. Dust, smudges, and spots were still all over the windows and hood like they barely touched it. For the price, I expected way better attention to detail. The staff is quick yet thorough and they always do an amazing job. I have the monthly Lucky Duck monthly wash subscription. One employee, Gibran gave me amazing information on the monthly service and pricing. If I go twice a month I already get my value, if I go more than twice a month I'm basically getting free car washes. I also get the wax treatment every few months to keep my paint protected. Went to Ducky's Car Wash in San Carlos. I was not happy with the washing of my vehicle. When I questioned if I had received the protection coating for my car, I was told that I did get the protection, and if I wasn't happy, I could go to another place to get my car washed. The young lady (cashier) was extremely defensive and told me that she had never received a complaint in the 15 years she had worked there. I asked to speak with the Manager. The Manager was very nice and listened to my concerns, she offered a hand waxing and apologized for the way I was treated by the cashier. read more

I paid $80 for a full-service wash, including polishing and detailed interior and exterior cleaning, and the result was a disaster. Not only did they do a terrible job, but they also left trash inside my car--a Starbucks cup holder and two straw wrappers. I even gave them a $5 tip, I know is not much but ..I pointed out that the mirror was dirty, and they only cleaned one side, leaving it worse than before.
