Use to love this doughnut shop. Good product. But the employee service now sucks. I wanted a box for my doughnuts to keep them from getting smashed. Was told boxes only for 6 or more. I always pay cash and got a box in the past. Finally she said I could pay 75 cents more and get a box then changed it to $1. Games! I asked to speak to the owner but received a snarky reply. Visited: Wed May 13th 8:00 am New donut shop just opened up on Lancaster, South of Hwy 22 at the Home Depot entrance. Establishment was brightly lit and cheerful...Like most new eateries, the behind the counter activity was buzzing with enthusiasm and just the simple fact of staff trying to familiarize themselves with products and procedures. The behind the counter display of donuts reminded me of a Daynight Donuts or Dunkin Donuts. From the menu display, in addition to the donut offerings, breakfast sandwiches and a variety of standard coffee shop choices are being offered. The donut variety being displayed look rather simplistic and basic without the outlandish offerings and toppings. Thus, the pricing is reasonable and affordable for the whole family or the workplace. I was greeted with a smile and cheerful greeting when it was my turn to order. For my initial visit here, I just stuck to a half-dozen order of glazed, cake and creme filled donuts. The total cost was $6.75. When I reached home, the donuts was nice & moist and tasted very good with no surprises. With that being said and being the closest donut shop to my residence, I will definitely be back to Dude Donut City. read more

I'm not sure what kinda shady business this is, our last visit was 6/17/2020 and spent $5.61. Today 7/10/2020 I had TWO back to back charges for $5.61 on my PayPal debit card while sitting at home. Their donuts are mediocre, it's nice to have a donut shop on this end of town. The coffee could definitely use a much needed improvement. All in all, we will visit this place but to date, nothing beats Roth's donuts. read more

Not my favorite donuts. The filling is inconsistent & not well portioned. The donuts were crunchy on the outside & soft on the inside but VERY greasy. I wanted to like them but there was too much grease & they were inedible after a couple bites. The bear claws were the only thing that gave me pause & convinced me to try again in a couple months when they've got their groove a little more streamlined. Also, would be nice to include the higher end donuts like the bear claws in your half dozen at just a slight up-charge instead of having to leave with 8 donuts when we only wanted 6. Saw this on the way to get some shopping done and the building itself looked nice. It is clean and many variety of donuts and drinks to pick from. We ordered half dozen of a bunch of filled donuts and ice coffee. Sadly the coffee was super watered down so we ended up tossing it. The donuts was ok, but filling is little to none which is sad. Whoever piped it, didn't pipe center, but to the side and it was just dispointing. The breading was ok, maybe will give a shot for the non filled, but I think it's a fun place for youth and being open late. Woman behind the counter was wearing a BLM t-shirt. BLM is a controversial group that I am not interested in supporting at this time. Not sure I want to support businesses who promote them either. Customer services was not great at all. I can not speak for the donuts as I did not try one, but don't waste your time getting a milkshake. The 5 dollar milkshake was 90% milk and maybe half a scoop of Icecream. I threw it away when I got home. I don't know what their recipe is for milkshakes but they need to revise it. We come here once in a while their donuts are good but yesterday the guy at the counter was counting the money so someone from the back came to the front put on a glove and with the glove on he started moving things on the counter which I was like whatever asked for my first donut and before I asked for the second donut he touched his face with the glove which he then grabbed the second donut I was so grossed out I paid for the donuts and threw them away. Upon receipt of said cake with happy spelled "happ" and birthday was shortened to "birth" I did my best to gracefully let dude city employee know of such errors as I took pity on the situation; it felt like being presented a macaroni picture from a 3 year old . Why not to leave a teenager in charge. I was going to try the croissant sandwich meal. I was told I could not substitute a hot tea for the coffee. I did a ton of research on Yelp to figure out where I should get donuts for a high school volleyball team dinner dessert and decided to try Dude Donut City. I was greeted by a very friendly and professional young lady behind the counter which set the tone right away (customer service is a big deal to me.) She was so patient with me while I picked out a variety of 18 donuts and was so helpful. And the amount of different flavors this place has is crazy! They were all a hit for our volleyball team and I'll definitely be back! Thank you to the girl working on Thursday afternoon! You are amazing and I wish more businesses had employees like you!
