You sit in a log going around the lake to follow Dudley Do Right to try to catch Boris and Natasha. It's a pretty intense ride with a good drip at the end. If you want to get soaked this is the ride for you. I would say bring flip flops specifically for this ride because your shoes especially get really wet. We walked right on this ride (came in April)! The ride duration is a great amount of time. The drop very thrilling! I do feel like they could update the theming though I don't feel like many people nowadays know who Dudley is. Replace this ride over our dead bodies. While overall, I find toon lagoon very lackluster (can we not update this, but still keep it cartoon themed?), Dudle Do-Right encapsulates everything we love about old-school cartoons. Trope characters, a lack of accountability, and good ol' fashioned fun. The waiting line is DAMP, so I never go on this if there will be more than ten minutes of standing in line. But the ride is so camp, the drops are so fun, and if you could make the drying machines more effective, I'd write to Yelp to ask for a sixth star! read more

If you like water rides like me, you'll for sure enjoy this one! I love Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls... such a fun water ride. Lol, I would say that I suggest bringing a poncho to protect yourself from the splashes but to be honest with you, I brought a poncho & I swear it didn't do me any justice at all. Prepare to get absolutely SOAKED. It's got a couple mini drops before the main big drop (75 ft drop) & is actually a pretty long ride at ~5 min! We did this ride as soon as we got inside the park so that we could dry off throughout the day but they do have drying stations for $7 if you want to dry off quicker. NOTE: Definitely take off any hats because we did lose a hat, as we were approaching the final drop. read more

Fast, check, wet, check, pretty crazy drop? All good. Def grab a poncho if you don't want to get too wet but your shoes will get a good dunking. Not a water ride fan personally but this is one to check out if you need something to cool you down during the summer. Winter - too cold! Leave sensitive stuff in a locker to avoid it getting wet. For being an inverted log ride, I think Ripsaw Falls is absolutely a delightful ride! I have been to Universal more times than I can count, and Ripsaw is one ride I can remember always being around. And, because of this, my appreciation for it slowly deteriorated. After awhile, it was kind of just part of the colorful bridge in passing to get to Jurassic Park and HP world. But going on it again recently I remembered again that it actually is a super fun ride! Especially on a hot day (which happens more often than not in FL), this is a great option. You can seat up to 4 people, and it goes through an old comic story- there are quick twists and drops that will have you squealing like a little child full of joy, and you can't even help yourself. It's awesome. Don't take this one for granted or forget about it (like I did before). read more

First of all, who in the world is Dudley Do-Right and why is he so creepy? This ride needs to be renovated real bad. First of all, no one knows who Dudley Do-Right is anymore and it makes the ride so much less enjoyable. The storyline was really bad and could be so much better, especially when you look at how amazing the theming and storylines of other Universal rides usually are. Secondly, you just. get. so. WET. I was literally soaked from head to toe. I felt like I had just dived into the ocean, I was so wet, and i'm not exaggerating. My new shoes got ruined, filled with water, and then mold starting growing in them even after I blow-dried them for a long time. It wasn't just me, everyone else in the car was completely soaked. I was thinking it was gonna be like a light spray, but it was a dunk. On the first two inch drop the whole boat got filled with water. They seriously need to take some water out of that thing. I do not recommend this ride especially if it is a long wait. read more

You WILL get wet. Dudley Do-Right ride has this way of splashing you in the face even when the ride is going along in a straight line at an even pace. I don't know how they do it. A little bump, then splash, all over the place! I remember coming here for the first time and seeing from the entrance how steep the final drop appears, terrifying! I grew up watching Rocky and Bullwinkle, so this is totally a nostalgic ride for me. My oldest child also appreciates TV from yesteryear so she loves all of the theming and the story line. My other child just loves the excitement of the ride itself. Warning about the wait, there have been plenty of times when the posted wait time does not match the actual wait time, it has often been a lot longer, but the ride is very much worth it. The theming in the queue is super adorable as well as on the actual ride. It rivals, of course, Disney, with the visuals throughout the ride. I am a nerdy mom, so since they do not have mandatory lockers, I bring some old plastic grocery bags for my purse or bag, because you do get drenched, and I usually have to hold all of the phones. Dress appropriately, if you are not wearing a poncho (which you need), dress in something that might dry quickly. I also like to bring something to wipe my face during the ride, sounds funny, but you get really splashed and soaked through all of your clothes depending on wear you sit. (The kids often put me in the front to hide behind me). The ride also presents a couple drops, the last one, wow!!! Watch out!!! Scary! The reason why one child is obsessed and wants to ride Dudley multiple times in a row. For those who do not like coasters, perhaps skip this one. However, I really like this one a lot, and it was so much fun, because it teases you a little bit and makes you think several times that you are about to go down the big drop, and you just grow in anticipation of it. Ahh this is one of those rides I've ridden so many times I associate it with trips to Florida. It's one of those silly rides that's pretty well-decorated and is also fun to ride. The line is actually pretty fun to stand in and check out all the things they've done to it. I like all the mounted heads. The little storyline to it isn't that memorable but it's fun to sit through. There's a huge drop that can get you soaked depending on where you're sitting. Nonriders can also get in on the fun and spray the riders with water from a bridge riders go under. Above Average Size Need Not Try Overall: 4.25 Stars This was the tightest fitting ride I went to in all 6 parks I visited in my trip to Orlando, but it was a great one none-the-less. At the time of the ride I was approximately 200 pounds and I barely fit into the seat with the lap bar slowly crushing my waist and cutting the circulation of blood to my legs. If you are over 6 feet tall or over 220 pounds it is unlikely you will fit on this ride. *Note* There is a test log flume to sit in and try out at the entrance. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you try it out before getting on line. Even if you have fit in every other ride at every other theme park, there is a chance you won't fit in this one! The theme is nice and cartoonish. If you know your Dudley Do-Right you will enjoy the ride a bit more. The ride will soak you from head to toe and on a warm day, it is necessary. Sadly, they find ways to cheat in getting you wetter than just the final drop, but that is all the spoilers I will give for this ride. I highly recommend getting there in late morning when the day is warming up because the amount of space for the lines is beyond ridiculous. I am certain the wait time can easily approach 2 hours if the line reaches the entrance of the ride. It took 3-5 minutes for my friend and me to reach the front of the line without anyone even being on it. The average wait time for this ride is random. My wait time was 5 minutes, but 2 hours later it was over 1 hour! July 2015. It's fun! read more

Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls is an extreme log flume ride. There are numerous smaller drops, before the large plummet that soaks you. There are a number of weird animatronics throughout as well. I am not at all familiar with the Dudley Do-Right characters so the whole ride was sort of bizarre to me, but it was interesting. The ride is old, and could definitely use an update. The log was tight but I did enjoy the drop and the whole ride experience. Something that was hilarious was the safety video during the ride queue. It looks so dated and it was funny to see what people wore back in the day. Great ride, just a little bizarre. read more

This is a great little fast water ride. The wait was relatively short and it definitely paid out. It's exciting because there's a huge fast drop. It also winds around kind of like splash Mountain so there is a little viewing before the big drop. It is very fast so be prepared if you don't like fast then don't go on. read more

This ride cracks me up. "Please remain seated in your log" has made the immature little kid in me giggle for years and years and it still does. But besides that it's just a fun ride that makes me laugh because it's full of surprises at every turn. And yes, you do get wet, but some get more wet than others and it doesn't always happen at the same place so its just funny to ride and watch it all unfold. The ride is a decent length. You go through different areas before the big hill and it even fools you into thinking you're going to go down the hill before you actually do and that makes it worth the wait. The line queue is long, uneventful, and in the end it gets tight and claustrophobic so I'd rather not ride if the wait is more than 30 minutes but on a hot day its a fun and funny way to cool you off. read more

Oldie but goodie! If you are looking for a fun water ride while at Islands of Adventure, this is the best one and the one you will get the most wet on! It feels like a real whitewater rafting trip! The big drop and splash are a fun way to make sure that you go from wet to soaked on this ride. I like that it has a place in the middle to store your things so that they do not get wet, unlike the other wet ride-Jurassic Park, which you have to tuck your things behind you to hope that they don't get wet if you didn't rent a locker. read more

This ride is deceiving in a good way. On most log rides, you'll get a little wet, but this one will get you drenched. At least it does me every time I go. You float along the river waiting for the big drop at the end. Make sure your phone is in a sealed plastic container. I had my phone, DL, and credit card in a plastic baggie in my pocket. Upon getting out of the ride, my pockets were empty. The guy running the exit gave me an "uh-oh" look and explained that there are large vents in the back of the log for water to get out of so it may slide right out into the water. I freaked out for a few minutes until my log came back around with a young lady holding up a plastic baggie full of my prized possessions. I almost hugged her, but instead ran off jumping up and down while saying "Thank you!" Check your pockets! Your legs go straight in front of you making it very easy for things to fall out. read more

You go on many drops, they have funny jokes before the big drop, they have a wall of water you have to pass, and others can spray you with water on the bridge with hoses. This was an awesome water ride. Went on it 5 times so far today! This is one of the best rides at the islands of adventures park. But had a couple of technical difficulties during one of the 5 rides. This ride was way better than splash mountain. It helped having the express pass because be didn't have to wait in the long lines. This ride is soooo much fun! You will definitely get wet, depending upon where you sit dictates how wet you will actually get! The actual construction is very interesting and looks very cool! It is a longer ride so you def get to enjoy it more then some of the shorter ones! It takes you down multiple hills, where you will be splashed and scream! The final drops are the best! This is one of my all-time favorite flume rides. Fun decor, funny jokes, and scary drops. You WILL get a bit wet, but if it's over 80 degrees outside you'll dry off within in an hour. The only reason I can't give this ride 5 stars is because of the queue area. I don't understand why this queue has to be inside a building with narrow hallways and so many dark areas. It was also pretty smelly in there for some reason. This is a water ride... the queue should be outside! It was a rough 45 minute wait being packed in those halls like sardines. My theory is that they want you to feel hot and claustrophobic so that the ride seems more refreshing! haha. Anyways... the ride time is long so it's worth the wait, and is perfect for cooling down on a really hot day! read more

This attraction intimidates you the second you enter Toon Lagoon. It is the main attraction of the area and quite a lot of people pass through it when going from Marvel Superhero Island to Jurassic Park. It is a very fun ride. It is unique from most log flume rides like Splash Mountain because it features a hill before the splashdown on the main drop. The hill is what most people see when walking past the ride. The queue is very well themed, but this ride hardly gets a wait time over 20 minutes. It is a very happy and joyful theme with all sorts of cartoon characters. One thing that really bothered me was that you aren't allowed to store loose articles on the ride platform. The experience consists of 3 main things; lift hills, drops/splashdowns, and theming. The theming is pretty good but not to the level of the other rides at Universal. This is more of a thrill ride and less about the theme. The drop is really cool and I recommend taking the time to experience the ride, but only on a hot day! read more

The ride itself is pretty fun, and it is definitely a lot longer than we expected, with more than 1 drop. The only disappointment We had, was that we really dislike the way the line is handled. The wait time told us 25 minutes, so we got in line seeing that as the high end of an acceptable wait. The line then goes in and out of buildings, hallways, and small rooms, all making it absolutely impossible for you to know just how much further you have to go. The hidden line made it impossible for us to realize that the 25 minute wait we were quoted was actually going to be 55 minutes. It was a fun ride, but I can say for sure that we wouldn't have tried it, if we had known we would be standing in that line for almost an hour. read more
