Great remaining log glume ride left in Orlando. Always much better than Tiana's ... Because the robots still work!

If you like water rides like me, you'll for sure enjoy this one! I love Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls... such a fun water ride. Lol, I would say that I suggest bringing a poncho to protect yourself from the splashes but to be honest with you, I brought a poncho & I swear it didn't do me any justice at all. Prepare to get absolutely SOAKED. It's got a couple mini drops before the main big drop (75 ft drop) & is actually a pretty long ride at ~5 min! We did this ride as soon as we got inside the park so that we could dry off throughout the day but they do have drying stations for $7 if you want to dry off quicker. NOTE: Definitely take off any hats because we did lose a hat, as we were approaching the final drop.

Flume drop area- even this place people get good and wet!

Fast, check, wet, check, pretty crazy drop? All good. Def grab a poncho if you don't want to get too wet but your shoes will get a good dunking. Not a water ride fan personally but this is one to check out if you need something to cool you down during the summer. Winter - too cold! Leave sensitive stuff in a locker to avoid it getting wet. No place to store stuff in the ride.

You know this ride had some stomach punches haha, starts off with some mini rapid drops then the finale! Definitely will get splashed, i also lost my ball cap on the final drop! Had recording but they said over the speakers to put phone away lol. They do have plenty of 7 minute air dryers you can pay for to help dry off? I'm told it works well but i didn't believe it so i didn't spend the money haha wish i did though! Dudley do right ripsaw falls, glad i met you!

For being an inverted log ride, I think Ripsaw Falls is absolutely a delightful ride! I have been to Universal more times than I can count, and Ripsaw is one ride I can remember always being around. And, because of this, my appreciation for it slowly deteriorated. After awhile, it was kind of just part of the colorful bridge in passing to get to Jurassic Park and HP world. But going on it again recently I remembered again that it actually is a super fun ride! Especially on a hot day (which happens more often than not in FL), this is a great option. You can seat up to 4 people, and it goes through an old comic story- there are quick twists and drops that will have you squealing like a little child full of joy, and you can't even help yourself. It's awesome. Don't take this one for granted or forget about it (like I did before).

    Going Down! Boom!

Above Average Size Need Not Try Overall: 4.25 Stars This was the tightest fitting ride I went to in all 6 parks I visited in my trip to Orlando, but it was a great one none-the-less. At the time of the ride I was approximately 200 pounds and I barely fit into the seat with the lap bar slowly crushing my waist and cutting the circulation of blood to my legs. If you are over 6 feet tall or over 220 pounds it is unlikely you will fit on this ride. *Note* There is a test log flume to sit in and try out at the entrance. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you try it out before getting on line. Even if you have fit in every other ride at every other theme park, there is a chance you won't fit in this one! The theme is nice and cartoonish. If you know your Dudley Do-Right you will enjoy the ride a bit more. The ride will soak you from head to toe and on a warm day, it is necessary. Sadly, they find ways to cheat in getting you wetter than just the final drop, but that is all the spoilers I will give for this ride. I highly recommend getting there in late morning when the day is warming up because the amount of space for the lines is beyond ridiculous. I am certain the wait time can easily approach 2 hours if the line reaches the entrance of the ride. It took 3-5 minutes for my friend and me to reach the front of the line without anyone even being on it. The average wait time for this ride is random. My wait time was 5 minutes, but 2 hours later it was over 1 hour! July 2015. It's fun!

The indoor animation was all good too. I was impressed how organized the rides are and how tight security (a few check points) for the lightning lane was. They also just scanned your face/matched with photo and it was only a second! Remember not to bring big backpacks if you are planning to ride the rides. Or it's $3/locker per time. The free pre-ride lockers are teeny: just fit a waist bag, crossbody bag or a flattened folded in half backpack. Drink bottles with refill was also only $19.99, so do not worry about bringing a lot of water or drinks in. You can even fill water in the soft drinks machines. Cannot wait to visit Epic or Studios the next time I will be in Florida. Parking structure was organized and uber/lyft driver pickups are at Jurassic Park Level 5. There are other names/structures too. So remember what color you park at. Our Lyft driver got lost 3 times and was 25 mins late: so make sure you either use Uber or contact your driver to ensure he/she knows where to enter the correct parking structure.

We just stopped by for our fifth visit, a testament to how much we enjoy the park. So anyway, we drive up from South Florida, get a hotel, make our way over to the park, and or course we are looking to go on some rides. But to our surprise and frustration, so many were closed for renovation or offline due to mechanical issues. For example: The Jurassic Park River Ride and the Pteranodon Flyers were both out of service due to long term renovation. Even the Mystic Fountain was closed! Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls, Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, Kong Island and Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey were supposed to be working, but all were offline for a number of hours throughout the day. Maybe we just caught them on an off day or something but it really made the trip a little bit annoying, waiting on line and then being told that the ride is now out of service for an unknown amount of time. And instead of having run, we have to constantly check back on the app for ride status updates. Lame. On a good day five stars for sure, but this time around it was a 3 star experience for me.

I had heard from locals that it's a great local option over the big theme parks. Fun Spot was pretty great, for what it was. Free parking, free admission if you don't plan on riding rides, also a discounted adult pass if you only are going on rides with your kid who is too young to ride alone. The whole place was small, maybe the area of a handful of city blocks. And on the Sunday afternoon when we went, the place was quiet enough that we never waited more than a few minutes to get onto a ride. As we were only there for a couple hours, the cashier recommended the 4 ride pass for my kids, and the companion pass for me. But if one were to spend more hours there, buying the day pass online for $59.95 is quite a bargain. Not all rides were open, but the "big" rides that most kids want (the roller coasters and the go carts) were open. My daughter, who is not a big roller coaster fan, had a harder time finding kiddie rides that she actually wanted to go on, and she watched the go carts and didn't even want to try those with me driving. However, the place was small enough that I felt fine leaving my 10 year old son to go on rides by himself while I went on the Ferris wheel or the merry go round with my 8 year old. There are a bunch of food options available throughout the park. They were definitely more affordable than Disney prices! Most of the places offered souvenir cups with discounted refills, but there were also water stations set up throughout with free cups. I'd definitely come back if I had a few hours to burn and the kids didn't want to go swimming. Hopefully at some point, my daughter will change her mind about roller coasters, though!

I walked through the warp pipe entrance and into the land, and that was a genuine moment. The colors, sounds, and scale of everything around me hit immediately in a way that was hard to prepare for even though I knew what to expect. The attention to detail was remarkable, and the music threading through the entire area kept the immersion intact as I moved from one section to the next. Donkey Kong Mine Cart Madness is the ride to prioritize and the one that generates the most excitement in the land. I arrived at park open and went straight here, which was the right strategy as the wait times built quickly. Mario Kart is the other major attraction and delivers on the concept, with the Power Up Band integration adding a competitive layer that makes it more than just a passive ride experience. The Power Up Band is worth purchasing before entering the park if I want the full experience. It unlocks interactive elements and mini games scattered throughout the land that let me collect coins, hit question blocks, and track my score on the app. Without it I could still enjoy the rides and the theming, but a meaningful portion of what makes the land special is tied to having one. At around fifty dollars it is an added cost on top of an already expensive day, but for a Nintendo fan it justifies itself quickly. Weekday visits made a noticeable difference in wait times and gave me more room to engage with the interactive elements without feeling rushed. The land rewards people who slow down and explore rather than just moving through it as efficiently as possible, and there is enough packed into the space that I could spend a solid chunk of the day here without feeling like I had exhausted it.
