Test Track, newly redesigned, located at EPCOT, is the high speed driving simulator. It has been reopened for a few months, and it has been busy and popular and always a long wait since. My wife and I finally got to ride. We ended up waiting almost 40 minutes at PARK OPEN! The posted wait was 60 minutes but it was shorter. The line is all inside, which is perfect in the summer. But it is long. There are things to look at, things to read, TVs, cars of the future and more to see in line, but let's be honest, its a line. The old part where you design your own vehicle has also been removed. The ride takes you through a few different scenes, showcasing what cars can do, potentially what cars of the future can look like. You travel through different scenes, a nice scenic drive, then to the most elaborate part which I won't spoil but it is amazing. Then you blast through and you are outside on the track which takes you up to 65 MPH. You are actually backstage which is neat for guests to see. It is nothing crazy, no big drops, no spins, it feels as though you are riding in a convertible. They do have seatbelts that everyone must wear. There is the standard line and then fast pass line for an additional charge. They also have a single riders line but please note your party probably and will be split. The single rider line is used to fill in gaps to keep the cars full. There are 2 rows per car, 3 seats per row. You are in a car. The new changes are actually really cool. I do enjoy the changes they made but Im not sure where the nods to the original building ride, World of Motion are. I didn't see them. But overall this is a fun ride. We went during the day but the night is different since you do go outside during the end of the ride. They also take your photo. Overall, I would say ride it, check it out. I enjoy it! Test Track is the high speed driving simulator ride at EPCOT. It has reopened in the last few months after a long period of refurbishment. Since it's reopening, it has seen very very long lines. We finally got to experience it. We were there literally at open. Because of the early morning hours for resort guests, at park open, the line was already at an hour. It's newly redesigned so it wasn't surprising. The actual wait was probably closer to 40-minutes. The line is very nice. It is all pretty much inside (great in the summer), they have futuristic looking cars, things to ready about and more. It keeps you "occupied" while waiting. Since the redesign they did take out the section where you get to create your own vehicle. The ride takes you through a fun joyride with thrills of what cars could do, what they could look like, you go through the open roads and fun innovations. It has high speeds, stops, turns but nothing crazy. It is really like riding in a convertible. I actually really enjoy the changes. I remember the original Test Track with all the test dummies and I do wish they would have brought some of the original aspects back but the new updated it beautiful. The last part of the ride is the outside driving part that takes up to speeds of 65 MPH. Right before you break through the barrier, the new design is just absolutely amazing! YAY!!!! Test Track is back open after being closed for a while!!!! What am I talking about, this is my first time riding it. HEHE! I simply love this ride bcz of the speed combination and the content. The final portion of the ride is worth the wait. Went on it 3 times as the lines were almost non-existent. I wanted to check out this ride since they remodeled it but at first the rode broke down for a long time. I waited in line for other 30 mins. So we decided to leave and we noticed some employees in the front. I asked if they can take care of my twin sis and I, we were waiting for a while and the ride broke down and she said they cannot because we didn't get the lighting ticket. I asked for a supervisor and she was by that associate and we explained the issue and she said for us to see Caitlin the associate to give us a lightning pass for any ride in the park except for Guardians of the Galaxy. I came back and rode this ride when it was functioning again and I am glad that I did. I only needed to wait about 5 mins while the wait time for the standby line is about an hour. I really enjoyed the ride and loved that we get to see some cars from GM motors when we were done with the ride. read more

Test Track is better and faster than before! Displays are modernistic as you wait in line to board your 6 passenger vehicle. We didn't wait to get in the building, but we did wait for 90 minutes inside for inclement weather to pass so that we could ride. Rain wasn't letting up. Finally, we had to exit at 12:30, and we got Lightning Lane passes on the way out. We checked the app often to see when we could return. It stopped raining at 1:30, and at 2:15, we saw that we could board. We got right in and we were directed to the first row of the first car. This was excellent seating! We saw everything. The usual elements are in play (heat, cold, bad roads), and the computerized host builds 2 or 3 new cars for us to see ourselves in. Before we get on the fast track, we see a vision of the future. On the test track, we get up to 65MPH. It was not overly bumpy or jarring - here or along the way. When we got out, we found our photo displayed and used our magic bands to save it to our account. Unfortunately, we both turned our heads! On the way to the exit, we passed General Motors' cars on display. It looks like more will be added in the future. We are looking forward to riding Test Track again. read more

This was an amazing ride! The line was a bit long, but it was well worth the wait. There are six people per car, and it starts out slow before picking up speed. It's kind of like a mini roller coaster--fun, exciting, and really interesting. Definitely worth it! read more

Test Track has been revamped to 3.0! Is it groundbreaking from the 2.0? No! But they redid the entire ride interior with new practical and digital scenes. The track and everything else about it is the same. Afterwards they did away with the race cars and build a car stations and just have a showroom so in a way it's a step backwards. Fun ride. If you liked it before, you'll like it now. If you were expecting some amazing transformation, then nope, it's just a new coat of paint on 2.0. read more

Test Track is one of those rides that you need to do when you come to Epcot, no matter what. If you or someone in your family likes to go fast, this is the ride for you. I love how this ride is always bringing me a smile to my face and the fact it is themed so nicely is one of my favorite things about this ride. You get to build an electronic car and then virtually test drive it through the ride and you see on multiple screens how your car held up against other people's cars in the vehicle you are riding in with. My favorite things about this ride include the speed and visuals. I feel like I am transported into a simulation world when I come here! The ride is a decent length and I love that I feel like the time I wait in line for it, was not wasted. The cast members that work this ride are super fast with the loading and unloading of guests on here and I have never waited a crazy amount of time to get into my vehicle so my ride can start! One of the coolest parts of this ride is when you speed up to sixty miles an hour OUTSIDE of the ride and onto a massive track! It is a lot of fun feeling the wind as I speed around curves while outside. Easily one of the best rides that you need to get onto when you are at EPCOT! read more

So this is review from a childless Disney adult in her 30s (meaning i grew up with this ride) I unintentionally found myself at EPOCT for TT 3.0 opening day 90we are house hunting in Orlando and did a surprise park day to try to decompress after a very uninspiring few days of house hunting) I had never been in park for an opting day fro anything before so that was a fun little surprise and while I normally would avoid a new rode for the first few months at least while they work out the kinks and the lines dies down, I couldn't pass up this bucket list thing. So this review s of the current 3.0 version that oped in July 2025, which is just the last version redesigned for a 2025 mentality (EV's from what I have seen). The new queue is interesting. Still feels pared down form it's original counterpart. most of what is "new" is just rearranged from what was last there. Just in "new clothes" if you will. Some of the set pieces are really interesting but if you set in one spot for long (which you will) theres not much to see unfortunately. Not a lot of kinetics to keep you stimulated while just waiting. When we got in line it was bright sunlight with no rain on the forecast for 6+ hours. the estimate wait was 75 min. at the 2h 15 min in line mark the ride went down for weather. we sat for about 20 min before leaving. it did not come back up for 4 hours. We got back in, this time in single rider, hoping it would move faster (and it did to an extent) but after an hour in that line and almost getting to the front, it went down again "because a ride vehicle is stuck on the tracks". Though, as we exited, there were rides going nonstop so I don't know whats that's about. If you have ridden in the past or are a fan of the ride, you are already aware that in the past weather has closed this ride often, with it taking hours to return to operational status (in many many cases with the ride remaining closed the rest for the day) The ride did come back up that night but not for many hours and right before fireworks. We were sitting down at dinner at this time so we did not get to ride. I did ask if the refurb included a faster turn around from weather related closures, but it doesn't seem to be the case so far. Maybe it is just a kink that still needs to be worked out but ti was the main kink and we spent more than 4 hours in line for a ride that we did not get to ride (an affliction becoming common at Disney with their new-er attractions) I will say I do love this ride (five stars!) when I can get on it but that has become more and more difficult to do in recent years. I hope they figure it out. If you have littles coming tot he park who are really excited about it, maybe start to temper expectations in advance. Ambiance (4/5): After the wait queue you design a vehicle on a tablet including specifying stats, design, tires, etc. We had an issue with our tablet where the drawing the shape part didn't work. We tried multiple times and it took many tries before it finally did something. We got to complete our vehicle but that delay set us back a good amount of time. It did a good job of entertaining us while waiting. The ride itself had us tap our ticket to pull up our vehicle design and then ride it. Not sure how much impact our design had on the actual ride. Intensity (Medium): This is a fun relatively fast ride. Not particularly intense unless you're not a fan of high speeds. Fun (5/5): Overall a fun experience although the tablet for designing our vehicle being glitchy was annoying. The ride itself ended up being a reasonably fun ride with fast turns and a refreshing feel to it. It's like you're driving in a fast car on track. read more

This is my daughter's and I's second favorite ride at Epcot, with the first being Cosmic Rewind. We were staying at a Disney World hotel and had early access to Epcot. This was the first ride that we went to on our last day at Disney World. The wait wasn't too bad, approximately 20 minutes, but later in the day, it can get up to 80 minute wait time. This ride is also included in the Disney Genie+, but the lightning lane can be several hours before use. There is a single rider line as well that does move relatively quickly! This ride is very similar to the cars ride in Disneyland California Adventure. When you walk in through the queue, you'll get to design your own Chevrolet car to race. You'll get approximately 5 minutes to design your car. Make sure before you board the test track, that if you have your magic band, to scan it, that way you can see your car's design throughout the ride and see it's performance benchmarks! Test Track is a fast ride! There aren't any drops. It's in the dark, most of the time. It's such a fun thrilling ride though! It can go up to 60 mph+. After the ride, you can see your scores. This is a must visit ride if you're in Epcot! read more

Wow, what can I say except this is is the dwarf mine train of Epcot. A meh ride with tons of waiting. It's somewhat exciting but more along the lines of a ride that should have 20 mins wait instead. Would love to give it less stars if it was even possible. The way that it does that designing could be more fun if it was all part of the long long line. And the waiting is extended with the new method of genie plus and lightning lane. Disney if u want money then charge it elsewhere. This new method is total garbage compared to fast pass of old. This is my 4th time and might be my last depending on how the rest of my trip goes. read more

This was our first ride when we entered the park at Epcot. When you walk in you design your own virtual car from top to bottom and "race" in it. As you ride the ride it'll tell you how your car did in the different tests compared to other cars. The top speed of the ride topped 65 mph so it was very fast and my hair got messy. This was easily the quickest ride I got on while at Epcot. I had exited another ride nearby and walked over here. I walked up and they had a single rider line which led me right to the front of the line. I had very minimal wait and was on this fast paced ride in no time. Since my line experience was so short I wasn't able to take in a lot of what the line winded through. It was interesting enough for me to just get on the ride so fast. I mean I have had my own Disney experiences with lines and know it can take a while to get on a ride. Once on the ride it was a interactive. You got to make your vehicle to see how it holds up to the test track. I honestly didn't pay attention much to this, I just tapped on the screen and hoped for the best. This is a rush of a ride as it is nearly one of the fastest in the park. The twist and turns weren't too bad as you kind of go with the flow of the ride. What was a shock to the system was when you shot from the indoor air conditioning outside to the blazing hot sun. It really does a number on you. Your eyes just have enough time to adjust before you plunge back inside. By the end of the ride it was a nice rush. It was even better being able to basically just walk right in and get on the ride. The only downside, it is a bit dated. In certain areas it shows. read more

We've all ridden in a car before - but have you gotten to do that at 60mph+ with the top down and your hands in the air not worrying about crashing into someone? Probably not. Test Track is a fun concept ride that has been at Epcot for quite some time, but has gotten a face lift/futuristic overhaul in recent years to make it more appealing and relevant. The concept being that you are a "test dummy" in a car you design as it goes through various typical car prototype tests including speed, handling, aerodynamics, braking, etc. The ride is a lot of fun regardless of how much time you spend in a real car every day. The line can get quite long, but there is a single-rider line if you are looking to get through quicker than usual. Genie+ Lightning Lane also exists as an option as well. read more

First ride ever at Epcot since I'd never visited before. My sis told me it should be our first ride of the day for two reasons because it's awesome and it's close to the entrance. The line can get very long so prepare for that. You can try and get the lightning lane from the app, but we chose to do single rider. I highly recommend that if you don't mind riding alone away from your party obviously. Since the line was already estimating over an hour we chose that option. I made fast friends with a new family ha ha and was on and off the ride in a mere 20 minutes or so. I loved that whole waiting in line you can play with their machine to "design" your car. Once onboard it is like you're testing the vehicle and doing different maneuvers. Let me tell you though once it heads outside it goes FAST! I was in the backseats and it was phenomenal. Nearly blew my hair clip out of my hair. So fun, but over way too quick. read more

Test track is located in world discovery at Epcot. You will be able to design a concept car and put it to the test on the track to see how you line up with other riders around you. The best part of this ride is towards the end, the track will lead outdoors around the building and you will hit a little over 60 mph. While this ride is not scary, it does jerk you around in the first half. Kids should be ok but not as comfortable for the older folk. I wouldn't wait more than 45 minutes for this attraction. read more

Finally got to do this ride that I have waited years to ride. This was towards the end of the our day here at Epcot, but it was still worth the hour and a half wait. Waiting in the line though, the music/video playing over and over and over and over again gets on your nerves a little bit. Oh well. Once you make it up to the seating assignments, the anticipation starts to build. You first have to design your vehicle (helpful to have the magic band for this). You get a few minutes to do so. After that, you get placed in a vehicle with a few other people and each group of two can can activate their vehicle for the "race" with their magic bands. The ride starts by testing out some of the "handling", "braking", and "acceleration". Then the speed test comes where your vehicle accelerates outside. You get to see your scores at the end to see if your vehicle won. It is a really cool experience and definitely worth the wait! read more
