Coconut cake!
Cheryl H.

Once again this continues to be our favorite bakery with top quality cakes, cookies, pastries, and baked goods. Today we tried the snickers cake, beyond decadent and so delicious we bought two slices, one to share now and the other to share when we got home. Staff is always polite, friendly, and the place is always spotless. We highly recommend the Bakery off Augusta!

Was it good? Yes. Was I understanding the fuss? No. I will say I was there Easter weekend so I'm sure that my tiny order wasn't a big deal but I almost felt like a huge bother being there. The red velvet cupcake was good! Coconut was dry :-( cookies were beautiful but the monster cookies were dry chocolate chips but the frosting was good. Key lime tart, delish!

My wife used this bakery for our wedding sweets. This consisted of a round buttercream cake and 2 dozen beautiful petit fours. "Sara" and her team went above and beyond our expectations. They customized our petit fours and worked with our florist (Dahlia A) to make our cake unique and perfect to celebrate our big day! The cake was the most moist and dreamy we've had from this bakery, which we've frequented for a long time and always delivers. It's simply the best bakery in Greenville! Bon apetit.

German chocolate Danish

Loved this spot! Gotta get there a bit earlier if you want a full array of choices but got the German chocolate Danish and Chocolate dome filled with white mousse and Chocolate mousse. Kind service and amazing pastries! Currently dreaming about that German chocolate Danish. I will be back soon!

Vanilla cake with strawberry icing.

Beautifully crafted cake and delicious. So kind to help me out in a pinch. Wonderful customer service. Will be back!

This is one of my favorite bakeries. I especially like their pumpkin bread in the fall. Service has always been excellent.

First time going by my husband and I. We went around the middle of December. We picked up a few things to try. Was not disappointed.

The old adage that "we first eat with our eyes" is on full display here; pictures cannot do it full justice. And the smells of the bakery and cafe add to the sensory experience. The bakery side infuses flavors in their treats with flavors wash technique (typically on unbaked products and based on egg and cream mixture) that ensures moist and tender cakes or pastries. One example, for the forthcoming Kentucky Derby they had a cake washed with mint and bourbon that included a mint layer of icing and a bourbon based layer of icing inside the cake to achieve a "mint julep" cake. Of several items we purchased, mostly the cake part is standard white cake with flavor added and very nicely decorated. If one were to judge just on taste, it's essentially a good white cake, the "wow" comes from the decoration and somewhat the flavors. Heavy on the icing. But that is the decadence many want, and it looks great. I had the key lime pound cake and it was good, but a lighter example compared to Granny's (my Granny), so that's an unfair comparison, but it was lighter than anticipated and Granny's isn't the only pound cake I've had. The key lime was more subtle than the visual and mostly came from the glaze. The visual was so good, I asked if we could buy by the slice and the staff agreed to slice up a full cake for my slice and since they were getting low on pre-sliced available pound cake options. My wife loved it all! They do have take and bake casseroles and the cafe side has great sandwiches, an admirable Reuben if I remember. We must come here more often as it is very good and convenient and Granny took here recipe to the grave years ago, (RIP).

This place is a Greenville staple. It is the perfect spot for soup, a sandwich, and a fresh treat…read morefrom the bakery.

We went on a Sunday morning and the staff was great and quick. For coffee, I tried one of their current specials, a cinnamon bun latte. I loved it. This latte is for someone who likes it sweet. For my lunch, I got the salami goat sandwich. It was creamy and spicy, and the bread had the perfect bounce. My friend ordered the turkey and fig sandwich, and she let me take a bite. I'd be tempted to order that one next time. As a note, they don't do any substitutions on any sandwich. They will let you remove an item, but you cannot swap. I took a lemon pistachio olive oil cake to go. This was the star of the show. It was light, fresh and moist. I would come back for one everytime. If you're walking down the riverwalk in Greenville, it's definitely worth the stop.

I know you're thinking, "there's no way that tasted good" but it did! My sis has lots of food sensitivities that cause her auto-immune eczema to break out so we avoid all those allergens. My sister LOVED this cake! I wanted a special cake for her 30th since she hasn't eaten cake in 5 years! Christine from Baking Sweet Scents was up to the challenge and spent time with me listing ingredients so we were completely sure it was safe. I really appreciated the time and effort. Christine also deals with some allergens so she understands the difficulties. I selected the chocolate almond flour cake, double layered, semi-naked, with stevia instead of sugar, and macarons on top to be nestled into the specific flowers I wanted, gladiolus for August birthday month. The cost for this custom cake with all the specific ingredients was so reasonable. I will be ordering another smaller one for my grandmother's 80th who also avoids sugar and gluten. I see this trend becoming popular, thanks Christine!
