We celebrated my friend's birthday this past Wednesday and it was such a good time! Decor - Industrial with wooden elements. Exactly what you would think for an axe throwing spot. They also have some photo op spots in the front and back of the space. Customer Service - Bryce and Donté were very helpful and made sure we had a great experience. They even helped us out with a few group photos. Drinks - they are on the sweeter side. Those aren't my go-to cocktail preference. This is my 2nd time going to Dueling Axes, so I feel like that's the standard. However, I do appreciate how they add garnishes and light-up additions to the drinks to make them festive. Throwing an awe has been on my bucket list for quite some time. I've seen others do it and thought it was super easy to throw an axe and hit a target. While on a 24 hours turn around trip to Vegas, we had some time to kill before our night time flight, so I made a point to find an axe throwing venue and came across Dueling Axes which is located inside Area 15. The venue was clean, the lighting was a little too dark for my eyes. It had a night time hang out club vibe. Since it was Mother's Day weekend, they had a special drink offering for us mom's. I liked the fruity-ness of the drinks, they weren't overwhelming strong, which was a good thing at least for me. "Coach" Heather was great. Not knowing what to expect, she was super helpful and patient in showing us the correct form and offering frequent reminders on our body positioning. She was very attentive to us. It was like we had a personal one on one lesson. Not only did we throw axes but we also threw some knives. The knives were easier to throw as they were lighter in weight. It took me almost to the end of our reservation time to finally land the axes onto the target. My daughter and I had a great time. My dads 35oz Gatorade dumped into my purse and it was a special ocasión and we were meeting someone from the airport to surprise my mom and THE STAFF WAS AMAZING and kept me calm and helped me with tons of towels and they just made the whole thing go great. I stumbled across Dueling Axes when I purchased the Go City Explorer Pass for Las Vegas where I got 1 hour of Axe or knife throwing. Conveniently located inside Area 15, it is one of the many new LV attractions in this building. Plenty of free parking too. For this attraction, you'll need to sign a waiver and wear closed shoes. They do have shoes for rent. Once in your designated "lane", a staff member will give a mini orientation on how to throw the axes/knives safely. They had several game options, but we opted for high score, somewhat like darts or bowling. It seems easy but it was very challenging in the beginning. While playing, they do offer food and beverages for purchase. Highly recommend! It was a lot of fun! I would say it's a great way to vent frustrations or release stress! :) To save $, I highly recommend purchasing the Go City Explorer pass as Dueling Axes is one of their choice options. Additionally, you are not taxed when you purchase any Go City Pass unlike purchasing admission at their location, it will be taxed. I also suggest for a family of 4 like mine, to get 2 lanes for 2 people each. All 4 of us were in one lane so each of us had 15 mins throwing time compared to 30 minutes if we were in groups of 2. read more

Came here for Mother's Day to knock out some things of our bucket list. My mom and I had a great time trying ax throwing for the first time. Coach Heather was very welcoming and informative while teaching us how to throw knives and axes. They were running a Mother's Day special with a free northern lights cocktail, so wet ordered 2 drinks ( Lucky Dragon & Northern Lights). Haley was amazing! Really the perfect waitress, super quick and friendly, all with a great smile. I can see why this place was one of the top attractions in Vegas for the past 3+ years: it's right in area 15, with plenty of more attractions to do when you're done. I ordered the crossfire Hemingway drink ($10) and a Mexican candy shot ($5) decent prices for good drinks. By the Haley's recommendation I got the pork belly sliders. What a unique way to have fun on a Sat night especially with a great group of people, here at Dueling Axes. Made a reservation for my birthday celebration for Saturday December 6th...I was 5 minutes late...my reservation was cancelled immediately, doors were locked, chairs and tables were up..the sign in the door CLEARLY states 12pm-12am hours of operation. As fun as the axe-throwing experience was for my group, I unfortunately cannot recommend this venue. We had a group of 20 for my 40th birthday celebration. We booked their "VIP" party package which was not even remotely close to what you'd expect for a VIP label. You barely have your own "private" area with one server, that's it. We paid $3000 for 2hrs (they add 20% tip onto the package price) plus an additional $900 in food and drinks. There was apparently only one chef on staff that night per the server (who was at least kind and apologetic). The food came out SO slow and they were out of multiple items, we ended up taking half our group out to dinner after the party. There were items 86'd from the menu that we weren't even informed about until after we checked in on them to see why they hadn't arrived yet. Two items ended up showing up literally as we were paying the check (which they took back to the kitchen and removed from our bill). After getting a survey that week via email, I responded with the feedback and my frustrations, and asked for a partial refund/discount for the inconveniences we experienced, that we were very disappointed in having spent $4000 for a premium experience and receiving below average service. The owner finally responded to my email 7 days later, saying she was going to look into it. One follow-up email and a full 2 weeks later, the owner gets back to me saying that removing the ($20 worth) of items that came at the end of our party was their "resolution" they were able to provide! She then comically offered to have us back at a discount lol I'd highly encourage you to visit another axe-throwing facility that values customer service. Do not spend your money here. read more

From the moment we walked in, the environment was super clean, stylish, and welcoming. David was our server, and he was absolutely awesome. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. Super friendly and approachable, he was really helpful in showing us how to throw axes (which was great since we were new to it), and gave us clear tips without being overbearing. He checked in just enough without interrupting our flow, and his energy honestly added a lot to the experience. David also recommended a couple of drinks for us the Rumble Jumble and the Northern Light and both were hits. The Rumble Jumble was fun, fruity, and strong without being overwhelming, while the Northern Light was smoother and more refreshing. You can tell they put some real thought into their drink menu. We also ordered some snacks, and I cannot stop thinking about the chips and salsa. They were way better than expected--crispy, fresh chips and a bold, flavorful salsa that actually had a little kick. The staff at Dueling Axes were so impressive. They took care of our party of 6 which included three teenage boys. They offered closed toe crocs for $5 rentals along with socks if you happen to come in sandals. My party and I were in town celebrating a birthday and the kids mentioned wanting to see a museum called Omega Mart. We had no idea when we booked the event that it would be located in a building that housed eateries, mini golf, Grand Prix racing, and zipling. After Omega Mart, we decided to go Axe throwing. Everything is located inside Area 15. We spent maybe 1.5 hr inside where all 6 of us enjoyed the venue. The teens especially enjoyed throwing axes and knives while the adults enjoyed our drinks and Mexican candy shots that kept coming. Highly recommend this spot. We came here to throw some axes for about 1 hour but it was fun here. Our waitress gave us a good tutorial on how to throw the axes and knives but I couldn't get it right all the time. It was definitely harder than how others have thrown the axes and knives to me. The beer was good to me and definitely good place to hang out with friends and family. We popped in Saturday afternoon while exploring. I'd seen and heard of this concept but never tried it. We did not have a reservation. We waited just a couple minutes in line and got right in. We were taken to our lane and introduced to our server. He gave us a short but sufficient lesson and answered some questions and we were ready to go. I'm not gonna lie, I was pretty nervous. Just the sound of the axes flying by on both sides amped me up a bit. The first time I had to walk down the lane to retrieve the ax ... after it bounced off the board and flew back a couple feet ... so scary. But in didn't take long to trust the ultra heavy duty metal fencing between the lanes. We both started out pretty bad. I'd say that's natural. But in the end my husband got really good at the ax and started trying the knife. The knife was much harder to stick. I even got a bullseye a couple times. It was oddly satisfying. Since it was National Margarita Day, I had a margarita. Husband had an IPA. We were both very happy with our drinks. The place is pretty cool. We had a lot of fun. The servers are friendly and polite. No reason not to give these guys a 5 star. read more

This location is inside area 15 which is pretty cool! There's already so much in there to do and this is a great option for date night or with the family! I will say it is pretty pricey. Just for 2 ppl it was over $80 and we only got two drinks which were non-alcoholic. We went around 10:30 but the vibes weren't good music wise until the end of our match which sucked. So I would recommend coming here later in the night because they had a dj that was playing great hits which made the experience better. Before you start a worker explains the process and shows you how to throw the ax correctly. It was harder than it looked and a workout!! One thing that really docked a star for me was the quality of the wood board that you throw the ax at. It has so many cuts from the ax being thrown it was hard to get the ax to stick in the wood because it was all messed up. I would recommend them to change out the boards more regularly so it isn't so difficult and more enjoyable. But other than that this is such a fun, new experience! read more

Came here with friends to try this for the first time. They have you sign waivers at the front & then lead you to your area. There's a full bar along with food. They instruct you on how to throw & there are several types of games you can play with your group. It definitely takes practice. I did have a couple land on the board, but most ended up on the ground. It's harder then I thought. I did enjoy watching the couple next to us as they played a very competitive game getting their axes on the board every throw. We all had a lot of fun & it's another check off my bucket list. Well it's hard because I love going to Area15 in general so it's in a prime location here in Las Vegas. However they don't have any real alcoholic drinks, we were only allowed to purchase $11 canned drink- a vodka in a can form or a drink which all of them taste gross. Not a cutwater type can drinker. We lucked out and got the expired Vegas locals discount which I appreciated as well thanks to the manager at the time. I guess if you are remotely good at ads throwing it cud be fun but I definitely did not hit the board once so since it was heavier then hour old initially imagine, I just ended up throw it and walk g the 39 feet to go get it off the floor a bunch of times and that. evan's boring really fast so I just stopped and let the other play lol. Again it's up to each individual person I just didnt love it- but it's a cool place to at least go and try it ,you may be better then I was. This review is about a month overdue - the company that I work for had our annual Christmas party here. There were about 25 of us and all of us had a really great time - the people in charge of our drinks made sure that we always had a full glass and the food was absolutely fantastic (not sure if it was catered or what but man it was good). The main lady gave us a rundown on how the game is scored and how to safely throw the axe. We had several lanes and all of us really enjoyed the actual activity of axe throwing. We had the place reserved for 2 hours and easily were able to fit in a lot of games until our arms hurt! The only issue that some of us had is when we arrived at Dueling Axes, the girl in charge of checking us in and getting our waivers signed had a really hard time looking up from her phone to greet us. Came here with family members last weekend, and we had a blast. Most of us were inexperienced in axe throwing, so there were blunders here and there, and lots of laughing at each other. But there were also several bullseyes, which were probably due to luck not skill. Nonetheless, we didn't take ourselves too seriously here and had a lot of fun. The workers were friendly and helpful during our entire visit, from the signing of waivers in the beginning, to serving us drinks at our lane. I tried the Red Jingle Juice specialty cocktail of the month, and it was so good, one of the best drinks I've ever had (of course with lemon lime, tangerine, and strawberry flavors, this drink was made for me!). It was even served in a lightbulb glass with a strobe light attached to the bottom, this plastic bulb also taken home as a souvenir. I would definitely come back for this drink alone. This review is long overdue. We had a bachelorette party for my cousin last year. It was something different and new and our whole party was up for something they have never tried before. Our party was multi-generational ranging from future mother-in-law age down to elementary school. (The couple of children we had were able to sit in one of the tables and watch.) The venue is more like a sports bar, totally different vibe as the rest of Area 51. Upon entering, you are to fill out a waiver. Make sure everyone in your party is present for your reservation. You will have to pay for every reservation whether they made it or not. We had 12 women playing so we took up two lanes. Each of the lanes are protected with a wired division to prevent accidental bounce backs. We had a quick instruction on safety, form and how to work the digital score board. I don't remember any of the drinks, but I do remember our server and instructor were great in motivating us and keeping the energy up. Overall, we had a memorable night. It was so much fun, and my family is actually pretty good at throwing axes. Since the bridal/bachelorette party, i have heard my family have gone back a couple of times for birthday parties.
