Long story short: I requested additional things in person and via email and somehow received exactly what I expressed I didn't want. I reached out multiple times for updates and yet still didn't receive the information needed until 2 weeks later when my car was "ready" and to add insult to injury Onasis told me I could get a band-aid fix for additional money. I looked up various body shops before deciding on a shop. I went in person to my top 2 choices and after chatting n getting an estimate from Julian, I went with Duke Collision. The front passenger side of my car was damaged. After talking to Julian that day, I decided to go through my insurance instead of paying out of pocket. We also talked about other work I wanted done. I decided I wanted an OEM parts and stated I was willing to pay the difference between what insurance would pay for and OEM parts. I also told Julian I was willing to pay for the left headlight since I didn't want 1 new headlight and 1 - 12 year old headlight. Duke Collision sent me an estimate with both OEM headlights and bumper. I had to also get an estimate through my insurance company and I sent that to Duke Collision via email along with the explicit message of the additional items I wanted and the fact that I didn't want 1 - 12 year old headlight and 1 new headlight on Dec 6th. Duke calls me to come in and say they can get me in early. I come in thinking I'm just going to drop off my car but ended up spending an hour there for Onasis to prepare the paperwork. He states he's going to try to get both headlights covered by my insurance company but if not, I'll need to pay for the left one. I say fine by me. The estimate my insurance company and Duke Collision provided said 4 days. It was a full 2 weeks instead. I called multiple times for updates but it wasn't until the end of the 2 weeks was I made aware, my car had 1 new headlight and 1 - 12 year old headlight... completely opposite to what I said in person and via email I wanted. When I questioned it, I was told "Oh we can order the right headlight and it'll be here sometime next week or we can buff the old headlight for $20." I got off the phone upset and sent a detailed account of the issue to Duke Collision's email. Their response was "we can remove the new headlight and refund you the money." Then they called like 10 mins later with the same offer. I said sure. This was Friday. They said the car would be ready on Tuesday after 3pm. I called Tuesday at 3pm and asked if the car was ready. Onasis said yes so I returned my rental and got a ride to Duke Collision only to see my car with the new headlight still in it. I commented to the technician showing it to me "I thought that was supposed to be removed" and he said "we did what we were instructed to do." I go inside, paperwork unfinished, one of the workers told Onasis he was supposed to do xyz so other workers wouldn't be confused. Then they told me they noticed an imperfection so they needed to buff it out. I waited 30 minutes for this "buff" but in actuality they were removing the new headlight that they was supposed to remove days ago. I guess that was another part of Onasis job he forgot to do. This experience was terrible. I didn't get the new headlights I wanted. And this was a wasted experience because now in the future to get these headlights done, I'm going to have to pay out of pocket for a rental car or just be without a rental car living in Knightdale because Onasis didn't communicate nor do his job properly. The bumper looks great. However, I wouldn't use this body shop again because of the poor communication and issues I experienced due to that poor communication. read more

I took my car in the middle of June with massive tailgate damage, frame damage, and having my crash bar completely split in half. They did a great job making it seamless working with insurance, vehicle updates, and getting my vehicle back. When I dropped my car off, they even drove me home because I was within the area and I didn't want to pay for uber. Angel's customer service skills are unmatched. I always knew what was going on with my car and when it would be done. They did tell me it would take about a month, and I got the car in a month and some change. However, this was fine because they were rolling with the punches insofar as doing a good, quality job, not just a fast one. I had to come back and add another review because not only do they do horrible work they are liars and con artist. Told me they removed my muffler and to replace it would cost 700.00 told me i could drive my car without it until part comes in. When it was taking too long took my car to another shop and was told muffler still in place just a pipe bent and to replace that would only cost 90.00. So months after my car accident in NC, I finally was able to get my car fixed at Duke Collision and the experience was HORRIBLE. I dropped off my vehicle on August 16, 2023. From that date, I would call often to follow up for updates on my vehicle and any need to know information. On 09/05/2023, I called to get an update because I had a trip coming up and would need my vehicle. I was told to call back the following week because my vehicle was going into paint. On Monday, September 11, 2023, I called and was informed that my car was finishing up paint and would be ready for pick-up on Thursday, September 14, 2023 or that Friday 09/15 the latest. I informed them that I was going out of town Thursday so if my car was able to be ready then that would be perfect. The gentlemen I was speaking with stated he would have it ready and it will be detailed that morning. I called back on Thursday, September 14, 2023. I was informed that my vehicle had just went into paint and now, would not be ready for pick-up until Thursday, September 21, 2023. I explained to them that I was told something completely different and I planned to go out of town on 09/14, returning until Monday, 09/25 so that would be an inconvenience and I would need to pay for the additional rental days. Onasas stated there was nothing they could do, no compensation and no one else I could speak with and he hung up on me MULTIPLE times when I tried to speak with someone else. On 09/25/2023 on my way to pick up my vehicle, Onasas called me and stated that there was a scratch on my window of the door, that was supposed to be replaced. I explained to him that the scratch was on the previous door so if it was replaced, that wouldn't have been an issue. When I arrived they gave me a loaner vehicle and stated it would be fixed by tomorrow. They called me 15 minutes later and stated the vehicle was ready for pickup. On 09/26/2023 when I arrived again, I was able to confirm that the door that the insurance company paid to be replaced was not. The mirror on the original door was also still broken from when the car was dropped off (just like the window), the rodcker panel was not fixed and they broke the antenna on my car. As a result, I had to wait another week for these items to be fixed, and was offered $200 for inconvenience after paying $900 additional for separate repairs. To conclude it took 7 WEEKS and 1 day for my vehicle to be fixed, additional damage that the shop caused and awful customer service. All in all experience was a 0/10 and absolutely do not recommend anyone to this shop. read more

My car was hit by another vehicle. I took it to Duke Collision right after the wreck. All was good with the setting up the work and getting a rental. Problem is that I did not receive any followup communication at all from them. It has been three weeks since the accident. I still do not have a car and have no idea why or when I might get it back. My husband brought his car here to be fixed. Our insurance gave us a rental car, and when it was time to get his car back, they said it wasn't ready. So we had to get an extension, and when the extension was up his car STILL wasn't ready. That's when Duke Collision gave him a Junk car, and when I say junk I mean JUNK. The dash was broken, the car stunk, you couldn't charge your phone, and the mirror was broken. Because of that, my husband couldn't work for almost a month. A MONTH and they still didn't fix his car. I had to drive 45 minutes away because his phone almost died, he couldn't charge his phone, and he couldn't get back home without his GPS. They have poor customer service and are EXTREMELY unprofessional. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I don't recommend anyone to come here. Normally I do not write reviews for places but felt it was needed after my experience. Pros: The main damage on my car is fixed. The paint job looks good and the door opens and closes like it should. Cons: - Communication was lacking. I had to call multiple times to get an update on my vehicle. I was initially told it would take one week to 10 days to fix my car and it ended up taking almost 3 weeks. The pick up date for my car was pushed back over, and over, and over again. The estimate I received did not even include an estimated time of completion so I was relying on the word of someone who may not have known how long it was going to take. I did not find out until the end that I was supposed to be getting text updates about my car but did not receive a single text the entire time. No one asked me if I was getting the text updates either. I had to call for an update almost every time. When they didn't pick up I left a message but no one called me back. - I pick up the car and find that the scratches on the back bumper from the accident are still there and not fixed or painted over. The job was 90% done and the scratches were just left there. - The cost of the estimate versus the final price was a difference of over $1500. Thankfully insurance was willing to pay for it but if they had denied that I would have had to pay out of pocket. Overall, it was one of the most frustrating experiences I have ever had with a repair shop. This was way more stressful than it needed to be. If communication had been better, maybe the experience would have been different. I highly suggest double checking with people that they are receiving text updates if that is the main way they are communicating with clients. read more

Absolutely DO NOT USE this company if you can avoid, please do at all costs. Zero to no communication, changing stories, poor customer service and workmanship, after having my vehicle for FIVE, yes FIVE months, my car was ultimately released to me with more damage than it went to Duke collision with. I went through my insurance who also had to get involved to investigate conduct of this shop, and still I was left with out of pocket costs due to this ordeal. My original estimate of work they submitted themselves to insurance, some how more than QUADRUPLED and every week they "found" another issue after telling me all was fixed. I can absolutely back up all claims made on this review with proof as well. I should have paid more attention to reviews pertaining to Duke collision. Also small add on, if you're like me and pick this shop due to their advertisement of having "loaner vehicles", reconsider please, because you will be disappointed. read more

If you value your life, do not take your vehicle to Duke Collision. I had an accident in September that everyone thought would be totaled. The car was not totaled and I proceeded to drive it for 3 more months including two back and fourth trips out of state that alone were 1,000 miles. In December, I took it to a body shop for some checks and received a call 2 weeks later that the car was totaled due to 0 structural integrity. The technician at the new body shop took the front off of another car to show me what it should look like and then showed me mine. Parts were not welded back together, edges were not filed down and could have torn anything. They got the invoice from Geico, who was charged for things they absolutely did not do. The technician told me my front end could have fallen off at any time and if that had happened on the highway I very well could be dead. This is the fear people have of body shops; them draining insurance carriers of their money to put the driver's life in danger. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I have from reputable sources that this is the way the owner does business and is common. I thought my car was fine until someone looked at it. They charged me a fare price, gave me great service and an awesome guarantee. The young lady who runs the office is the epitome of a professional coupled with the mystic of Southern hospitality even though she is from New York. The Manager himself gave reassurances that this establishment would do a great job. They lived up to everything they promised. They didn't bad mouth other businesses to get the job. Duke Collision really came through for me. One night someone hit and damaged the bumper on my parked car. The next day, I brought my car in for service and what would have been a very stressful event, was made very pleasant. The Duke Collision team treated me with the utmost respect and talked me through what would happen and gave me an exact timeline on when my car would be ready. They were absolutely amazing!
