One of only two bars I really go to in Kenosha. I'm not a fan of the constant sports bars and loud TVs and sticky floors. Rendezvous is a tiki themed lounge with great music, amazing drinks, fantastic bartenders, fire tricks and all sorts of surprises. You take care of them, and they take care of you. Great late night place. Recently started coming here as the last stop before home and it definitely gets the job done. Great atmosphere and great drinks. The bartender is the one and only guy and he knows whats up. This is a must stop place that is very unique to the area. Since I first visited Rendevous Tiki Lounge while I was still living in Kenosha, this has become my favorite bar. The drinks are great, the main bartender Matt is awesome, and it's a pretty chill atmosphere. They have a pretty extensive and reasonably priced menu, and even though a lot of the drink descriptions don't tell you what's actually in them, Matt has never steered me wrong on a drink choice. If you don't know what you want, just tell him what you do and don't like, and he'll get you the perfect drink. The only real con is its small size - if you're planning on going during the weekend, make sure you get there sooner rather than later, and be prepared to split your party if you have a lot of people with you. I personally prefer going during the week with a few friends - it makes for easier conversation, and chatting with Matt is also a good time. read more

I don't get it. The 'bowl' drink specialty is essentially ice, ice, ice, ice and juice....with some very very cheap liquor added. That will be $16....and the bowl isn't even filled...the top inch was froth from the blender. Basically, the two girls we were with finished 2 bowls in 2 minutes and didn't even remotely register the slightest buzz. They both barely weight 110 lbs. You want to get ripped off on liquor? come here. Cool atmosphere but you DO NOT get a good experience for your money. Spent $50 on 2 bowls and a Long Island.....ice, juice, with barely any booze...you couldn't taste it was even there. No thanks. I can do that at home for $2 read more

A great place to go and have drinks with friends. Be aware though that this place fills up fast on the weekends, so you may have to squish your way in during certain times. Upon entering the bar, you will notice that it is wonderfully decorated with all the Tiki crap you could ever think of and then some. The dimly lit interior really adds to the overall ambience of this cozy little bar, but its the authentic Tiki drinks that make it a place worth stopping at. From vintage "fish bowl" drinks with a volcano fire in the middle, to the traditional Zombie, they have it all including some house made specialties. My personal favorite is the fruit salad. I spoke with the owner about this drink not too long ago and he said that it was specifically designed to taste like the fruit cocktail juice that you use to drink from those del monte cans when you were a kid. It is excellent. Most drinks are around $9 a order, but they are huge and contain about 3 to 4 shots of alcohol and fresh juice which is typical of traditional Tiki drinks. If nothing on the menu is to your liking, ask the bartender to get creative and suprise you. Overall, this is a great little place to take your friends for a weekend drink or after work relaxer. The ambiance is great and the drinks are very well done. Its a great addition to the somewhat limited bar selections in Kenosha. read more

The tiki lounge is one of the greatest around! It's become my favorite bar to go to. Bill and Matthew are the greatest at tending bar and their drinks are beyond amazing. Tell them what you like and they'll come up with a creation you'll never forget! It'll have you coming back for more! Inside is also so much fun! You won't find a place like this around here. This bar is rather small and you might miss it if you don't know where you're going. I like the inside and setup of this particular tiki bar it's like nothing else in town although it is pretty dim inside which makes it hard to talk to others if you go in a group like I did. I personally enjoy their drink that is set on fire it looks really cool and is inexpensive. It's nice for an afternoon quick drink. read more

I hear it is usually ridiculously crowded, but when I went there were some big activities going on elsewhere and it was pretty empty. i used to come here about 8 years ago, recently moved to the area and went back in expecting the same busy fun, tiki atmosphere. Sadly disappointed. The decor is neat, the staff is very friendly, the drinks are very large. Past that, not very tiki in here. I went twice, since moving to the area, and there was literally 2 other people in the place, during peak hours. The drinks are huge, and affordable. the drink menu doesn't actually explain whats in the "tiki" drinks, which makes it about impossible to choose a drink, if you dont know much about tiki themed drinks. the worst part, the music is light contemporary pop/rock, both times i was there. Really killed the tiki vibe and made my group want to leave. The put effort into making your drinks fun looking. Need to change the music and fix the descriptions on the drink menu, would make a big difference. Would like to see this place get busy and really tiki again. read more
