The bartender and cook were amazing as usual! We went tonight 9-20-24. The place was busy and they both handled it like champs. My parents and I loved our food. Dad ordered today's special of pulled pork sandwich with chips. Mom ordered the black and bleu burger with waffle fries. I ordered the ribeye sandwich. It was huge! I had to take two pieces off and shared with dad. It was delicious, I had it plain with pepper jack cheese and mushrooms. On the side I had fries with beer cheese. (Oh and the mushroom app dad ordered was great too!) Best seat in the bar is by the cook watching him in all his glory! The owners just had a cement slab with a table and chairs for smokers outside. It's funny how many bars think just because they serve beer they can charge top dollar for really bad food. I stopped in here with a friend for lunch wanting to try the fish fry because of a good review someone left and because it's nice to have something close to home. We decided on fried Cod. I ordered potato pancakes as a side. Each meal was about $14. It was horrible. The cod was rubbery and had barely any breading. The waitress practically laughed at me when I asked for malt vinegar. And when I asked for normal white vinegar, she said she'd check and never returned. I needed something for the dry, rubbery fish. I should have sent it back. The potato pancakes were large frozen tater tots. I'm giving one extra star because the coleslaw was delicious. I can drop the same money on a fried cod dinner at Culvers and it is absolutely perfect each time. Next time I'll eat there an get a beer afterwards if I want one. read more

Visited for the first time Friday 8/23. We had a large group and all had the Friday fish fry. Cod 1/2 order is two pieces ($9)and Full Order ($13) is three pieces...why is full order NOT 4 pieces. It cost $3 for an extra piece. Pieces were small fish stick size. Each stick was the size round of and jumbo hot dog and 3/4 the length. The broiled cod dinner was even smaller served on a coffee saucer. The "Sportsman Sampler" ($18) had the most fish but expensive. The Fish Fry comes with rye bread, cole slaw, tartar sauce and a choice of potato. The serving of sweet potatoes is small. The bottled MGD Lite was warm. Beautiful, clean new dining room and bathroom. Probably will not be back for the fish fry. read more

We had heard great things about Tina's fish fry and went to check it out last night! It was AWESOME- probably one of the best fish frys in the area! I had stuffed shrimp that was perfectly cooked and sooo good! In fact, I'd go back just for the stuffed shrimp! The service was super friendly and outstanding. It is a small place so ind recommend going early or making a reservation if you have a party of more than 4. My husband had the perch dinner and it was a generous portion of perch perfectly cooked with waffle fries. I had a baked potato. It also came with homemade are cole slaw and a piece of fresh marble rye. Super affordable to our total bill with sodas was $28. Soooooooo sooo tasty and great friendly service. My husband and I were looking to try a new local place for Friday Fish Fry. I was 100% satisfied to find J&Ms. it was exactly what I wanted in a Fish fry. They have an extensive fish fry with all of the fish varieties, my husband even tried the "Sportsman's" with perch, walleye and blue gill. They have great potato pancakes which I was craving. They have a typical bar up front and a bright and airy dining space in the back. The service was super friendly and efficient. They even have a nice dog friendly patio in the back, fenced in with a patio, grass and picnic tables. Can't wait to go back soon with my furry friend, I'm always thrilled to find somewhere I can go with him. Definitely plan on returning. What a find! read more
