    Cheesy Garlic Pansis
    John B.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Appears to be a hot spot with many tables inside and several outside as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is a full bar and Happy Hour specials. We ordered the meatball and smash burger sliders. These come 2 ea per order and they are about the size of a regular burger. We followed that with the cheesy garlic and caprese pansis. The service was great.

The food was delicious! The eggplant rollatini dinner was fabulous. The sauce was such a great compliment. The pizza caprese was good with a great combination of cheese that was the perfect touch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We choose to seat outside as the atmosphere and the people was just such a great vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It seems like they were under staff as the place was definitely packed and the servers could not keep up with providing adequate attention. Will be willing to come back and give it a second shot another day just to see if they improve in service but other than that, it was a great experience.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I'll start by saying the outdoor dining in the warm months is so fun![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]You're in the downtown scene, close to the lake and in walking distance to other shops and restaurants.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is great. They have their famous pinsas as well as a nice variety of other foods. Drinks are great. All at a reasonable price. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great for family, friends, dates.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Bacon & egg burger with black beans patty

This is a favorite when walking downtown because I absolutely love their black bean patty and they let you swap it for any beef patty burger they have on the menu. The service is always great. Our waitress was fun, cheerful, attentive and the kitchen got our food out quickly. My wife and daughter both loved their meals too! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is always chill, like a lounge almost.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a full bar and outdoor seating too[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Pear martini- excellent!

I went here for the first time based off of other yelp reviews. This place did not disappoint. I was also pleasantly surprised to see they had happy hour Monday through Thursday. The waitress Halema was very nice and attentive. The fried ravioli for $6 for happy hour was fantastic! The caprice pinsa (pizza) and also the meat lover pinsa were both very good. The pear martini and the pomegranate martini were both excellent and an ample pour (at $6 for happy hour too). The only issue is the bees outside were annoying but the inside was nice. I will definitely be back next time I am in the area!

Pub burger and wings (sauces on the side)
    Kathie C.

What a fantastic little hidden gem! My martini was a delicious full martini! No skimping! Their wings are top rated! Best we've ever had! (We asked for 3 sauces in the side). The burger (medium- with a bit of pink) was delicious! The fries could have been a bit more well done, but that might just be us. The price was very fair! Our waitress, Halima, was amazingly attentive! Loved the ambiance too!

    Classic mojito

I'm a sucker for an anchor bar, and this casual eatery in Kenosha delivered a good dining experience. With great outdoor seating, a few creative cocktails, and decent bar food, our expectations were met. Service was good, and plenty of food was had by all. Order the onion rings as soon as you can while you peruse the rest of the menu.

Delicious food, the best Mojito I've ever had, fast friendly service. Definitely worth stopping in.

The Tavern burger was reportedly good from one of our group members, I enjoyed the Cheesesteak sandwich along with the Cheese Squares. The littles did not complain about the chicken tenders. The beer was good too. OK pricing considering the current economic situation.

I feel like the sauce was not there would be a pretty bland sandwich steak did not have any flavor unfortunately but still a decent sandwich. We are planning on coming back down to Kenosha and trying this place again. It may be checking out the other things they have.

However, you can also drive North, into Wisconsin, which is just 40 minutes North. We like to shop at Pleasant Prairie Outlet and after shopping for about five (5) hours, you will get really hungry. Hence, we almost always visit Tenuta's because there isn't quite anything like it by me. But that's a different review... I say all that to say, after getting Italian meatballs, cookies, and Cannolis from Tenuta's, you will immediately notice Ron's Place, right across the street!! They have a local and dedicated following. Yes, you will see Green Bay Packers decorations and people in Packers clothing, gasp!! But!! Their burgers are incredible and so are the cheese curds. They are also known for their Long Island teas but it's kinda early for me when I come here. Check out my pics - I always get the cheese curds, chicken strips, I've switched it up from time to time with my burger selection. Today, we got the extreme burger and it's definitely shareable, it's a gigantic double patty cheeseburger (I selected American cheese). Great service, cool & local Vibes, diners are usually talking shop, the people sitting next to you will be catching up and talkin about Jack and Diane. You can look directly into the open kitchen and see them preparing the great plates of food. Look at the pics on the wall and you will see a pic of McMahon in Packer uniform - the Packers won the Super Bowl that year...sigh...

It was a weeknight, but the street we were driving up to get here was a little dark and run down. But don't let that deter you. They have a nice sized parking lot for their location. Then we walked inside and found a narrow room with a bar running the length of one long wall and counter height tables and chairs perpendicular to the opposite wall. They really jammed in as much as they could in the space that they have. The ambience was dark and moody. They were playing hard rock and the bar had a couple of regulars sitting inside. At the end of the bar at the far end, was a cubicle of a kitchen. That's where the magic happens. Their menu is simple: appetizers, burgers, and build your own burgers. That's it. We all built our own burgers and they have a LOT of options. However, the build your own may start at $9, but each topping adds to the cost. But who cares? The burgers were phenomenal! Their website clearly states, "Best burgers, ever." And they're not wrong. The burgers were juicy, flavorful, and delicious. Probably one of the best burgers I have ever had. And everything is made in this tiny area at the end of the bar. We were the only people in the place after about 20 minutes, but again, who cares. The staff were extremely friendly. Their playful banter and bickering when they cleaned up was hilarious to listen to, and they were lovely to talk to as well. One of our group wanted to pick up some Spotted Cow beer (you can't get it in Illinois) and asked about a place to get it nearby. They suggested Shenanigan's with a drive-through just a couple blocks away. We have to make another trek back. They are awesome and their burgers are great, too!

But honestly, besides the delicious food, stop by and say hi to Bear. He made a regular lunch an adventure. Great conversations, easy going and just a great guy!

The only parking option I saw was on the street. Inside it's attractive with its own nautical character. Its food menu is burger centric and is kind of complicated to figure out. You complete a form that itemizes the kind of burger, fries, etc that you want. Even my waitress tried to help me and she got confused. Ha! I finally ordered a bowl of their beer cheese soup to start for $10.45. I then added an 8 oz grass fed beef burger with hand cut fresh fries for another $12.45. Yes, it was more food than I needed but I wanted to try the beer cheese soup which was delivered first with 4 pieces of sourdough bread. The soup was delicious being rich in cheesy flavor with cheese strings and bacon bits on top. It was a full bodied flavor soup and with the bread I could have made a meal of just this. After finishing the soup, the burger and fries appeared. It was a hearty and very good tasting burger on a quality bread bun. Also the fries were very good tasting with a good potato flavor. I couldn't finish it all but I wanted to. With a drink and tax it was about $28 before tip. I'm glad I had lunch here.
