Looking for excellent quality traditional Mexican breakfast. This is the place…read more Las Cazuelas is known for it's chilaquiles and huevos rancheros. Did I mention homemade corn tortillas? I had their fresh squeezed orange and grapefruit juice. So good. The oranges and grapefruits in Mexico are much less acidic than in the USA. I ordered the chilaquiles with green sauce and two eggs. I have to say I was quite satisfied with my plate. It wasn't amazing, but it was good. I think what brought the overall meal to a solid 4 was that my plate came with a choice of side. I chose the quesadilla. I'm sorry, but the quesadilla was just quite sad. The tortilla was thick and floury. Cheese was fine. Not too strong a flavor but was saddened by the flour. I think service was fine. Ambiance very casual.

No one notified us that because of the events the bar would be closed. No smoking at all vape or otherwise except in a cage that they have in the property! Hot water was a hit or miss, she did explain to use how to maximize our hot water but never once thought it would be a good idea to let us know about the events! The free breakfast was absolutely horrible! The chilaquiles were sour and all the food was cold as could be! We asked to change rooms in the morning when we asked if there were events scheduled for that night also and they told us there was, they said we could change rooms but for a fee! I just want to say we would have never booked there if we knew about the events. We kindly declined to pay extra for a different room with a parking lot view instead of the ocean view we paid for. To my surprise, which I thought would be impossible to get but they did allow us to check out and charged us for only one night! The stuff were nice and pleasant our server at the restaurant (drinks only) was also very kind when we were looking for restaurant recommendations. And the fact that they did return our money was nice! With communication this all could have been avoided! The view was amazing, but no chairs in the balcony to enjoy it!

Ojo Azul in Valle de Guadalupe is a really lovely spot for a romantic, peaceful getaway…read more The hotel has a unique charm; it includes a small winery, a restaurant, and even a cave cellar you can go wine tastingin, which was honestly one of the coolest parts of the experience. It definitely feels like a special place that's more about relaxing and enjoying the wine country vibes than doing anything busy or fast-paced. The rooms are separate from each other, so it feels very private and quiet.. Perfect if you're looking to disconnect and have a calm weekend away... Our room was clean and had plenty of space... The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower was roomy... They also have a refrigerator stocked with Their in house wine bottles you can choose from, which adds a fun touch... The property has a pool and spa area, but just keep in mind it's communal, there aren't private hot tubs or private spa setups in the rooms... Still, everything was well-maintained and relaxing... Pricing felt reasonable compared to other hotels in Valle, especially for how nice and comfortable everything was... One thing to note: Valle de Guadalupe is very spread out. This isn't a place to stay if you want nightlife or to be within walking distance of multiple wineries. You'll definitely need to drive to get around, and some of the roads are unpaved... The host was also extremely welcoming.. We arrived late after hours, and they were still available at the front desk, answered all our questions, and made us feel really comfortable... Overall, Ojo Azul is a beautiful, clean, romantic place to stay if you're looking for a quiet wine country escape. Would definitely recommend for couples looking to unwind..

Our wedding was supposed to happen in the midst of Covid-19. But, had to get postponed to the following year 2021. Long story short everything was about money for them. I wanted to change to an outdoor venue since it was more safe for our small 85 guests. But, they made it seem like they couldn't find outdoor winery in Valle de Guadalupe. Here I am contacting places 7 months before my wedding. Everywhere I called they're was availability. At first everything was going great and little things started to fall out of place. Keep in mind that all the planning started in December of 2019. I would say that you need to stay on top of everything! I mean everything! Keep asking questions or state your concerns. If you want a certain vendor at your wedding I would say contact them directly. Going thru Lorena Cardenas will cost you an arm and a leg. I had three different vendors and was less than half the price. Taco stand guy $240 for 100 people, Mariachi $600 for 3 hours and also a music group for $500 for the whole night. My biggest complaint was getting a call literally 4 weeks before my wedding that the church was missing a document. I sent all the documents that was required in July of 2020 and why are they telling me about this 4 weeks before my wedding? I was so stressed out!! Literally, had to call several churches in LA to get this paperwork expedited to Ensenada within a 2 weeks. Also, I had the DJ call me the night before my wedding asking me for the type of music I wanted him to play. Which was so weird because I wasn't even prepare for that phone call. I told him to play newer hip-hop and Spanish music and that didn't happened. When it was time to our bridal party to enter he didn't even announce their names. Other things happened during our wedding planning that aren't worth sharing that bother me. I would say STAY ON TOP OF THEM!! Ask questions and state your concerns. You can't beat the location -- right on the cliffs overlooking the beautiful beach and crashing waves. The hotel itself has always been funky, built Ramshackle into the side of the cliff. We did enjoy our stay, and can't beat the price starting at $100 per night (cash). We always love getting some food and drinks on their patio with the stunning ocean views. The food was actually very good this time, even better than some past visits. It would be nice they could make some improvements, though, even if it involves raising the rates a bit. But overall, still a great trip to a bit of a gem in the rough.
