I would like to start this off by saying the supervisor Kayla's inability to understand a simple situation, combined with her unprofessional attitude, raises serious concerns about her competence as a supervisor. Please promote Greg to this position. Here's what happened: l am a frequent customer at this USPS location and have always had positive experiences here, especially with Greg, who is consistently professional, patient, and helpful. On 7/15, I reused a mail bag that had previously been delivered to me. I placed the new item I was selling inside the mail bag that still had an old label. Normally, USPS places the new label over the old one or ensures the old label is no longer scannable. Unfortunately, that did not happen, and the package was mistakenly shipped back to me instead of the intended recipient. In other words, this package was delivered to me twice because of an avoidable processing error. Greg did everything he could to help, but since he couldn't resolve the issue himself, he called the supervisor, Kayla. This is where the experience went downhill. Instead of listening to what I was actually explaining, Kayla immediately became defensive. She started talking about reimbursement, even though I never asked for a refund, and then implied that I was trying to scam USPS. She also aggressively snatched a paper from me. That accusation was completely unprofessional and based on a total misunderstanding of the situation. I wasn't asking for money, simply wanted my package sent to the correct destination. A supervisor should be able to listen, understand a straightforward situation, and either resolve the issue or explain the next steps respectfully. Instead, Kayla seemed more interested in making assumptions than helping a customer. If someone in a supervisory role cannot comprehend a simple shipping issue or take the time to understand what a customer is saying before making accusations, they should reconsider how they approach customer service. Greg deserves recognition for his professionalism. Honestly he should be supervisor. Unfortunately, Kayla's attitude and lack of problem solving turned what should have been a simple fix into a frustrating experience. read more

DO NOT SCHEDULE REDELIVERY TO THIS POST OFFICE -- THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU. Not sure who runs and operates this place, but they need to look at all the 1-2 star reviews because it's there for a reason. I had a redelivery and came on the day that I was supposed to come by and they told me they did not have my certified mail on Saturday. I then asked when will they have it they said I could stop by after Monday. I stopped by Tuesday and asked them if they had it. They said they still didn't, so I went to their website to schedule for a redelivery for that Saturday because I thought it would be enough time for them to redeliver. I came on Saturday and they said they still DID NOT have my certified mail. I then called up to USPS headquarters and was able to talk to an agent and they rescheduled me for another redelivery that following Tuesday. I came by Tuesday, and guess what? They still didn't have it. They then proceeded to tell me they don't have a collections box so they won't be able to receive packages or certified mail. They couldn't have told me that the many times I stopped by before instead of wasting my time and me trying to redeliver my certified mail to their post office TWICE? I never got the location of my certified mail, mind you. I am still trying to figure out where my certified mail is. read more

I came to the post office today and had 2 gift cards to mail out. Shirley ended up helping me as I was unsure which package to use, along with some other questions I needed help with. She advised me which package to use and directed me where to get them. As I'm filling out the address on them, I asked her for tape so I wouldn't have to lick the envelope directly. She says, "Why don't you just use a long piece of tape??" like it was even a big deal. Then started laughing at me in front of other customers while telling me how I'm taping the envelope is "wrong". She continued to go on and on about the tape, actually arguing with me and giving me a hard time. About tape. As I'm finishing up, she mentions I should of just used the glue (Which I was unaware of) She intentionally didn't tell me just to hold up the line longer and to prove her point. The most poorly run post office I've ever been in. It's my 5th time here. I live in Duluth but drive 15 min out to avoid doing business here - but was short on time trying to make a drs aoot. I was expecting a package and the delivery date was rescheduled due to address verification. I came to the location to pick up my item less than 24 hours from the time I was notified of the reschedule. When I arrive to pick up my item, I was told that the item was already processed to return to sender. I was told the person who is in charge of that immediately returns all items back to sender without any attempt of address verification. So obviously that employee wants to do the least amount of work possible. read more

My company posted me a Gift card for Christmas, and it never reached me. I checked with the company and they said it was mailed in the 2nd week of Dec. I did not receive it. not sure why the low ratings but I love the post office...I think for the service that you get it's a bargain...I do quite a bit of shipping and mailing on a daily bases and depending on where I might be for the day or what errants I might be running I'm all over the city. I came out here to collect children's books for charity and had a priority package to ship out and was able to pop in here and drop it off. I would like to thank Shirley from the Duluth post office on McClure Bridge Road. I entered an incorrect address for a shipment and my package was delivered just as it was supposed to be on the information. I went to usps.com and click my item is missing. I didn't expect anything so when I got a call from a local number it was shocking Shirley directly contacted the carrier who delivered the package. Explain the situation and one hour later I got a call back saying my package was at the Duluth post office. I could come and pick it up, I couldn't believe it. I don't ship with USPS because of the unreliability and lack of service. if USPS had more Shirley's, it would be the leading shipper in the US. read more

I ordered an exercise bike from amazon and I was at home. Instead of knocking on the door or anything, I get a message they attempted to deliver. I was here and they didn't it. When I looked at their tracking, the reason for non-delivery is "Didn't fit in the mailbox". It's listed as an oversized object. It won't fit in the mailbox. I scheduled redelivery, same message, we couldn't fit in mailbox. Crazy. read more

This particular location needs a complete overhaul of management and personnel. There is often only one clerk at the front and he is extremely slow, if there happens to be another clerk helping, it's no better. The line is always out the door and management of this location is nowhere to be found. It's clear that these lazy government workers have been allowed to slide by for years with shoddy work habits/ethics at the expense of the general public. I've been shipping items for years at multiple USPS locations across GA and this location stands out amongst the 20+ ones I've been to as disgustingly inefficient. So the poor service continues here. I paid for a PO Box last month, on time. Yesterday, I could not access my box. I checked my bank account and USPS has not processed by check for some reason. So I assume its lost. I went into the post office to discuss. I said I am willing to pay the box fee again. But she said a late fee was assessed as well. I wasn't late and showed her copies of my check and the USPS invoice. I mailed the payment via the carrier for my route and its now lost. Now I have to speak with someone because the clerk has no authority to override the late fee. I still cannot access my box, through no fault of mine. Horrible customer service and very rude!!! I stood in one line for about 30 minutes just to be told I need to go to another line to pick up my package. When I went to the other line and waited 20 more minutes, I was told that I need to come back next week since I receive my redelivery slip today. When I asked if I could wait closer to closing for the delivery person to arrive in order to get my things since my package wasn't there yet, I was told "No and that's all I can tell you." Horrible. I actually created an account so I could post this review. I cant say enough horrible things about this place. They need to shut down already. I just received this in the mail today. Today is March 2nd, 2016, for the record. This was sent on October 15, 2015 from one state over. Bravo on getting ALMOST all of the pieces to us in just under 5 months. And this is FAAAAR from being my first complaint with this post office. We have a long, long history. 8 years of ongoing, consistent failure. About 2-3x a week, I get a mailbox full of one of my neighbors mail. Which means they're one or two houses off for EVERYONE. Every week. There's no telling how much mail my neighborhood never gets because neighbors are too lazy to keep swapping mail with each other several times a week. At this point, there are no words left. It's just breathing exercises and relaxation techniques to clear it out of my mind, because "if you can't change them, you have to change yourself". And I promise you - this post office is never, ever going to get better. They're stage 5, terminal. Don't ever move into their area. You will rue the day. read more

I did not believe the reviews before today, but, they are spot on!! I stopped in today at 9:30 am to get 2 books of stamps for my daughter's graduation announcements and felt attacked for doing so. I did not want the run of the mill flag stamps. (I could have gotten those at Publix.) I wanted to choose something fun and celebratory while supporting my neighborhood USPS. The lady at the counter yelled at me when I asked for different stamps. "WHAT KIND OF STAMPS DO YOU WANT!!" I was not given a choice but had to justify my request and explain what they were for. She slammed down one book of stamps and I felt the anger boil over when I asked for another book. How can a person be so angry when the location just opened an hour ago? This post office used to be really great. Now, forget it. I have experienced two items being returned to sender marked "unknown". One was a wedding invitation. A second was mailed and I still do not have it. I understand that this location is under investigation. It sounds like those people who sort the mail need to be replaced. The worst post office ever , a packaged was supposed to be delivered to my house on Friday looked online and the excuse to not receiving it was that I was not at home. I was home and the time they put was at 7:40pm which is the biggest lie and red flag . There is no mail bring delivered at my apartment complex that late. This woman in the this USPS store has very strong racial discrimination for Asian or Chinese People!!! Finally it's my turn, I offered my tracking number twice to her, but she said they did not have the package in this store, she can not find the information in computer. It was so funny. Fortunately, I called USPS customer service yesterday, it was the person on the telephone line told me that my package was in this exact store. So I told the lady I already called the customer service to make sure and let her double check again. Then she let me waited there, and called the person after me again to serve the person. This person has the same situation with me, no notice label, just ID, but the lady still ignored me again!!! After that she went inside and took out my package!! I really don't understand why she told me they don't have my package in this store before and took out my package after I show the evidence !!! Don't send or receive mail through this post office. They marked an important package of mine as delivered when it wasn't, and when I went in to inquire about it they informed me that it was "misdelivered" to the wrong house. They said they would give my info to their supervisor and send the carrier out to retrieve it from the wrong house and redeliver it to mine the next day, and give me a call with any updates. I've visited this post office four times since then complaining about the same thing, and they give me the same response every time, yet still nothing ever happens. It's been two weeks now and still no sign of my package or any effort to fix their screw up. I don't doubt that it's theft by someone on their part considering how many people have the same issue. read more

Teresa is the fucking worst! Never have I been so ignored. I had waited in line for 40 minutes to pick up my package that USPS just gave up on delivering. When I finally get to the front she told me to wait off to the side while she took multiple customers behind me. This is absolutely ridiculous. It has nothing to do with COVID. I shouldn't have to be put off to the side and wait over an hour when I should have been taking care of in the order of the line. My package is perishable on top of that. No stars honestly.
