We visited last night for the first time, our son had finished coaching at a track meet and we made it about 30 minutes before they closed with a 2 month old baby in tow... They were kind and accommodating even as they were closing down around us. Anyway, we had multiple dishes: the mango cucumber, the green beans..SO delicious. We got soup dumplings, the fried thumb dumplings, The potato curry ones, also a beef noodle dish..It was all very tasty. Planning our next visit with friends soon at a better hour to have more time to enjoy the food and quaint atmosphere ! read more

In short Kitchen is absolutely killing it with all kinds of dumplings and sides. Everything is sparkling clean and they pay attention to every detail. Such incredibly warm and kind people, too. In long Well we talked about it for close to a year, and finally made it in when they had tables open. Literally 2 minutes after they opened, that is. It was 2/3 full within 40 minutes. Parking can be tight, especially with this and other popular spots sharing the same building. We rolled in and dude hustled right over to hold the door for us so we could get her chair through. Already starting off on a high note. The dining room is modest and neutral but still very attractive, and absolutely spotlessly clean. The menu is several pages long, but full of pictures. 8 or 10 different kinds of dumplings, each with 4 or 5 choices of fillings. Some good sides, some tea, fruit juice, and pop. You get ice water with lemon before you even sit down--it's on the table, waiting for ya. The green beans are evidently their best seller, and it's easy to see why. They start with beans that are fatter and juicier than anything at the supermarkets where I shop, then they season them well, add some ground pork, and cook them until they're just warmed through and slightly softer than raw. Magic. The XLBs come with assertively-flavored soup broth inside, and the wrapper is appealingly light with just a tiny bit of tooth to it. Sour and spicy dumplings are as fantastic as anything else on the table--plenty of flavor, and the broth they're in is almost appetizing by itself as a few spoonfuls of "soup." Pan-fried buns are like XLBs with chewy brown bottoms. Huge meatball inside. Also excellent soup filling. Kind of tough to eat and arrived blaaaazing hot. The wood ear mushroom salad is the best $8 we've spent in ages on restaurant food. Nice black vinegar dressing (with more black vinegar standard on the table as a condiment). No matter how many of these mushroom you've eaten lately, seriously, eat more of them. So good. The service was funny and friendly throughout, cheerfully chuckling at the stains on our shirts. "Never wear light colors when you go out for dumplings! Wear black, just in case!" They all wear matching black, btw. On our way out they smiled and gushed some more, and reminded us again to dress appropriately next time. They were always getting stuff out of our way, clearing--they even grabbed to-go containers for us, despite the fact that we're kinda supposed to do that ourselves. We were kinda frustrated at how unproductive our other errand today was, but this was such an awesome meal that it made the whole day great. read more

I've heard the buzz for this small restaurant in Everett and now I understand why. The food is better than established comparable restaurants like DTF and Dough Zone. The XLB is one of the best I've tasted ever and the portions for the dishes were surprisingly generous. We had the baked soup dumplings (Sen Zhen Bao) were perfect. The sautéed green beans and fried rice, with large shrimps) were top notch. The server, Chinese and super nice, said the servings were outsized, just like in Texas, where the restaurant originated. There's ample parking outside. The restaurant is along the main road. The interior decor is simple and basic. But the food here is the star. The cold drinks, flavored teas are superb, as well. What a discovery! Dumpling World is one of the best dumpling place one should try! It's so good! Dumplings are so delicious , very juicy, giant piece of xiao long bao, filling is so tasty. Originally from Texas, Dumpling World is located in Everett, the only branch in Washington state. Service is great. We were a big group of 7 and requested several split checks. Very accommodating. Server was very pleasant and friendly. Clean place. Lots of tables but gets filled quickly. There are booths for a family of 4, and large tables that they can put together. First time here for a busy Friday lunch and we were seated right away. Ordering via QR code was quick and easy. We tried the combo fried rice, garlic bok choy, shrimp, and pork & chive pan-fried dumplings, everything was tasty, and portions were fair for the price. Staff were fast and efficient! Saturday was my first time eating at Dumpling World, and I really enjoyed it. Our server was friendly and efficient, and we chatted a bit while she took our order and delivered our food. While all the food we tried was tasty, there were 2 standouts: the eggplant and pork noodles, which were spectacular! I will definitely return for this dish. And (believe it or not) the jasmine green tea. I've drunk a LOT of tea in my life, and jasmine is my favorite - and this was the best jasmine tea I've ever had. We also tried lots of different dumplings, of which our favorite was the beef and onion flavor. I look forward to eating here again in future! read more

Where they lost two stars was because of two things: 1) I burned my lip with pan fried pork soup bun - they could have warned us about how hot the food is, it was painful 2) they said they had a new cook and it took 45 minutes to receive food to go, they said it was only going to be 10-15 minutes. Dumpling World has been open for about 6 months and may look crowded at busy times but check in with the staff for getting seated. Inside doesn't look anything crazy but there's a bunch of tables even though from the outside it looks small. There were about 5 parties ahead of me but we ended up getting seated pretty quickly in about 10 minutes. The menu and ordering is done through QR code on the table. What's cool about the platform is that multiple people can scan the QR and add items - everyone will see in real time what's been added and who added the items. I also appreciated the staff as well as they were constantly running around making sure guests were okay. I got many items amongst my table and the highlights were really the XLB and the pan fried pork soup bun. Note that the soup is really hot so take caution when eating! The other items are reviewed below. At the end of the meal it was a little more than $40 per person before tip but I'll definitely be back. I do wish that there were serving utensils for some of the dishes as I found myself asking for extra pairs of chopsticks to use as community utensils. passion fruit cucumber: usually you see cucumber with garlic and chili oil so it was weird to see it as a sweet side. the passion fruit comes from almost the passion fruit jam you see in boba drinks. it's a little weird at first but it's interesting and not bad. tan tan noodle: pretty delicious and I love the peanut sauce in it. it's a little spicy and numbing which is true to the dish. stir fried green beans: really liked this dish - it was salted nicely and had a heavy garlic flavor. curry chicken and potato potstickers: the potstickers were crispy on one end and it was an interesting filling. the curry was reminiscent of Japanese curry and the filling was soft. I saw pieces of onions, chicken and potato. pork XLB: there's a lot of soup within the xlb so make sure you take your time and be cautious as it was super hot. pan fried pork soup bun: like the pork XLB, there was a lot of very hot soup. Fresh, tasty dumplings that definitely make me want to come back! I came here to celebrate my mom's birthday and it was great seeing how much she enjoyed the food. We ordered a-lot honestly enough for five people. There were four of us dining in and we still had leftovers we were happy to take home. The dumplings are huge and have a great balance of filling to wrapper. My only food note is that I wish the chili crisp oil had a bit more spice. Also, the tables weren't very clean when we first arrived. That said, the customer service was amazing. The food came out quickly, one dish after another. I have two words for Dumpling World: OB-SESSED!! You might be thinking to yourself "do I really need to go out for dumplings when I can buy the frozen soup dumplings at Costco?" And the answer is YES. Yes you do. Everything about this place was exceptional. We were excited to try out this dumpling place north of Seattle since it was closer to us! The restaurant was spacious, and there was a pot of iced lemon water at each table that you could pour yourself. They also served us hot water upon request. You could scan a QR code to order on your phone, but the staff was friendly and provided us with a paper menu. We enjoyed the XLB and pan-fried dumplings, both of which had soup inside. The steamed dumplings were also delicious and easier for take-out since they weren't as soupy as the others. The beef noodle soup was a nice surprise--the beef was very tender, and the flavor was just right, not too salty. The staff confirmed that they make the noodles, dough, and fillings in-house, and that everything is cooked only after the order is placed, so nothing is frozen. When this place first opened up I had my doubts but once I tried it, my thoughts quickly changed. I believe that this is one of the best places in the whole Seattle area for Chinese food. The beef noodle soup is so tender and easy to chew with the noodles being super bouncy the broth not being too overpowering. Even when it was spicy, I could still taste the flavor of the beef. The xiao long bao is delicious with a lot of new options that I haven't seen at other restaurants. The outside skin is so crispy but not dry and the inside is full of that delicious broth and filling. Same goes for the dumplings and wontons. I would especially recommend spicy wontons and the fried rice is delicious too. This place is easily better in food quality to din tai fung and dough zone which are always packed. Furthermore, the food prices don't break the bank with you being able to eat full for a little over $20 compared to dtf will be double the price. read more

Dumpling World hails from Texas, bringing their large dumplings over to Washington (because everything's bigger in Texas). While we had a wait, it was pretty smooth. There's a waitlist via Chowbus and they'll shoot a text when ready. I want to gatekeep but they deserve the compliments as the food was solid. Had a good encounter with our server Eli who was attentive to us. Combo Chow Mein - snagged this to help fill us up. Pretty tasty, more of a yakisoba style but savory and delicious. Wouldn't say it was out of this world, but a solid supplement with dumplings and helpful to balance the price of other items and appease hunger. Shrimp & Pork Xiao Long Bao - shrimp and pork were standard, maybe a little larger than other spots. The key callout is how heavy, soupy, and rich these XLB are! Visibly, it's evident how much soup is in each one and they fill up the entire spoon. These were delicious and definitely a contender for top XLB around the area. Pan-Fried Pork Soup Bun - a specialty Q-Bao that I highly recommend. These were packed with soup like XLB with an amazing pan fry, the bottom was crispy, adding an enhanced texture and maintaining solid position. Pan-Fried Thumb Bun (Shrimp & Pork & Chive) - these were tasty, but felt like they were missing something. Comparatively, these weren't as delicious as XLB or the pork soup bun because they just weren't soupy. The pan fry was solid, but not as well done as the larger pork soup buns, though acknowledging the smaller surface area. A nice item for sharing or larger parties, but lower priority for me. Shrimp & Pork & Chive Dumpling - similar comment to the thumb buns, they're tasty and great for sharing or larger parties but just lacked the soup that other items had. On their own, they're great with a solid amount of protein and not too thick skin. However, skin was a bit fragile and broke easily, so be careful when you eat it 2. Steamed Dumpling - Tried the colorful option and pork & scallion. I have gotten take out a few times and have tried their potstickers, green beans (which had minced pork) and braised beef noodle soup. Those were all delicious and I would order it again. To-go ordering is oddly restricted, which doesn't make sense when Din Tai Fung allows the same items without issue. It forces you to dine in. Spicy Shrimp & Pork Wontons are smaller than DTF's and not filling. Green Beans are AMAZING--one of the best items here. Wonton Soup has great broth, but small wontons and an odd seaweed in it. I came across this place by accident when dining next door and immediately set out to find some people to try it with me. I'm always looking for new things to try in this part of Everett. It does seem to have gained popularity and I often see it being talked about on social media. On occasion I have had to wait awhile to be seated. There is plenty of parking, but out front gets busy, you may want to park off to the far side. If you are waiting for others to arrive, might be best to run in and get on the list. Some of the people I have dined with have been a bit confused by the QR ordering, but you can also ask the server to do it for you. I appreciate that there is vinegar available at the table. Things come out when they are ready, so you may not be eating the food in the order you intended, but if you are not sure how hungry you are you can always order things one at a time and then add extra via the QR code. I appreciate the labeled vegan options, but would always welcome more vegan options on the menu. My current favorite is the spicy tofu potstickers, on one visit they were out, which was disappointing. I personally do not think these are too spicy, but judge for yourself. I've had the vegan sesame noodles on multiple occasions. I was interested in something else for a long time, which was never available, I now see its been removed from the menu. The ambiance is nothing special, its a strip mall place, not impressive from the outside. Great to have a new option in this area, I'll probably come here a bunch more. Glad it exists. read more

Dumpling World is a place I had seen great reviews for, so we decided to check it out--and we were not disappointed. One of our staples is Din Tai Fung, but sometimes we just don't want to make the trip from Everett. We both agreed this spot is very comparable to Din Tai Fung. The soup dumplings were huge, the fried rice was delicious, and honestly everything we had was superb. Service was fast, which we appreciated. You order through a QR code menu, which I found really convenient, though I could see it being a little tricky if you're not super phone-savvy. Once we ordered, the food came out extremely quickly. Overall, great quality and a good value for the money. It's really nice to have a spot like this in Everett without having to drive to Bellevue or Seattle. Will be back! read more

They have a waitlist tho which goes moderately fast but mind you, may have to wait a while... Small place but an abundance of good food and flavors! I got the grapefruit mango tea which was refreshing and not too sweet! We got the sautéed mushroom and Bokchoy! Hands down this was my favorite dish! Who knew veggies would taste this good?! Soo many mushrooms and all in an oyster sauce flavored with some other delicious ingredients! We got the boiled shrimp and pork dumplings and the curried chicken dumplings! The curried chicken is one of a kind -- I really liked these, they were a bit crisp at the bottom and just the right amount of kick. We also had the shrimp fried rice! Huge prawns and good flavors! Right amount of salt but it may be MSG hahaha. We also got the colored dumplings -- these are huge, and bigger than the regular dumplings and you get 6 of them. Really loved these chicken and corn and shrimp and pork, not so much the Bokchoy and mushroom. Loved my braised beef soup! Not salty! We also got the 4 pan fried soup dumplings! These were so good! They're like xiao long bao so be careful when biting in. Technique is to bite a little bit before suctioning out the soup. They taste real good with the vinegar soy sauce chili oil mix. I've been seeing this place all over TikTok and it's nice if you're craving soup dumplings especially on the cold days. Went on a Saturday night around 7 and the wait was about 20 minutes and it was pretty packed when we went but the place is pretty small. You join the waitlist on the iPad in the front and wait for a text when your table is ready. The soup dumplings were really big and so much soup!! Might need a bigger spoon because the soup was a lot. I love the pork dumplings over the shrimp. I also like the chow mein which we ordered the combo and it was good!! I think it pairs well with the soup dumplings. I would get these as my go to!! I wasn't a fan of the fried rice which we also got the combo and the cucumber salad. The fried rice too me was a little bland especially the chicken on it and the cucumber salad has a syrup on it which makes it super sweet. You can try to take it off or dip it in the soy sauce and vinegar to lessen the sweetness but I thought it was okay. The garlic string beans were alright to me but still good to get for some vegetables on the side. I was in a bit of a rush on the day that we went, and they were really good about getting us in and out in a timely manner. We were really lucky with the timing as when we arrived there was only a few tables taken, but within 30 minutes or so every single table in the restaurant was full and there was people waiting inside and outside for tables. They want you to order online or something like that but servers were really good about helping people like me who are not good with online ordering. Our food came out pieces at a time and pretty much everything was delicious. One of the items I ordered was pork and shrimp dumplings in a spicy sauce. Unfortunately, the chili flakes in the sauce kept making me choke, and I kept coughing because of it. So even though it tasted good, I probably would not order it again just because it seemed to trigger a cough response in me. The other item I got was absolutely delicious and I'm looking forward to trying out many more items that I haven't gotten to try yet. The restaurant itself is in a strip mall, and the decor and restaurant are just ordinary and not super cute. But I don't think people are really coming here for the ambience of the luck. Great food and fast service. This place stands out as we don't have much authentic Asian restaurants in Everett. Ordered shrimp and pork XLP was piping hot with lots of shrimps inside. Glad there's a spot near me that fulfills the dumpling craving without driving too far! Their XLB was bigger than I thought. See my attached picture - it is bigger than the soup spoon. I'm used to smaller ones, like from DTF. Flavor was good and fresh. Their chicken fried rice and veggie chow mein were good too. I especially loved their green beans with pork! For this alone, I'd go back :) Portions to pricing seemed fair. Staff were attentive and nice. FYI hot tea was not complementary (like I'm used to in China town), but it was priced fairly at $3.50 for a 16 oz cup. As one of the few Chinese restaurants in Everett, I really want to see this place thrive, and there's potential here. The food itself was fine. The xiao long bao were larger than the traditional style (not necessarily bad, just good to know when ordering), and the flavors were satisfying overall. No gingers were provided, so by the time I had my 3rd one, it was getting a tad too rich. Service felt disorganized. Our dishes arrived in scattered order: soups first, then dumplings, and vegetables came out last. We tried to cancel our pan-fried dumplings since they were taking so long, but they still brought them out at the very end (which they did comp it and that was nice). We had to ask for water after finishing our first dish, since we were never offered water to begin with. It seemed that they also ran out of a big amount of dumplings by 5:40, and I saw a lot of people removing themselves from the waitlist in disappointment. Spending the holiday in Everett and looking for those hidden gems and that was found.
