On vacation and camping in Cheboygan, went on Yelp looking for Pizza options and after reading Duncan City Pizza reviews, the look was over, that was quick! Great reviews, called and ordered a 14" large Major Dana pizza. This place is 5 min away from our park, yay! Husband went to pick it up and they were just taking it out of the oven at the promised time. Very friendly young lady got his pizza, prices reasonable , very clean and organized, carry out only. Large menu, salads, wraps, wings, lasagna, Mac and cheese and more dinners, subs, sweets, Great Lake chips and more. The guest of honor is the pizza!! Our pizza was hot and delicious and had a generous amount of cheese and toppings, we loved their sauce too! A pizza made with love I might say. Detroit style pizza is finally receiving the love it deserves, but that doesn't mean that everyone knows how to do it right. Duncan City Pizza definitely gets it. There's a gorgeous crispness along the edges of the pizza where the cheese crisps in the pan. Every bite has a chew to it that's just right. The pepperoni and the sausage we got as toppings were reasonable, and distributed nicely. I loved that the cheese also had a nice browning on surface. The cheese bread also had that nice char on the top, and the cheese was substantial. This is how cheese bread should be. The prices are reasonable: $12 for a cheese pizza, with an extra $2 per topping. And, the pizza was ready right when they said it would be ready. There were 7 of us, including 4 in their early 20s, and we had plenty of food for all of us, including leftovers. This is the best slice of Detroit pizza I've ever had outside the city itself. read more

I ordered on the web and I was automatically given a time of pickup at 7:10pm, or 25 minutes after I placed the online order. So imagine my surprise when I arrived and was told it would be another 15-20 minutes. Soooo translation? They hadn't started making it yet. I had to wait another 20-25 minutes to finally get my pizza. Now for the pizza. It was a hand tossed pizza and was a little undercooked or "doughy". The pepperoni was actually really good with a little kick, just as I liked them. This was my second time there and had an extended wait both times. I will probably give it one more try, but they have to find a way to match the web order to more of a real time delivery. I could have showed up when it was actually ready. read more

The pizza is amazing, with plenty of alternative tasty options to choose. For a special treat get the deep dish, it is excellent. The fresh salad options are so delicious and accompanied by homemade dressings. Pasta, wings, sandwiches and more are all available and delectable. Ordered takeout from DCP last night that included a thin crust pizza, Mac and cheese, a chili chicken salad, and an order of the smoked wings with Mango Habanero and creamy Buffalo sauce. The pizza was a little cold by the time I got it home, but that could be remedied by having a warming bag in the car. The staff were amazingly friendly and the smoked wings were phenomenal! Like a beacon in the night! (At least that's what it feels like when you are craving pizza) I have been searching for a solid pizza spot by my family's lake house and Duncan City is that spot. Fresh, well seasoned, great tasting food from what my family and I have tried. The speciality pizzas we have had are the Mowie Wowie and the Heavenly (major bonus points for using Plaths bacon, the best butcher in the northern lower), also had the Michigan (State) Salad and a custom round pizza, which were all better then any chain/mom'n'pop we have had in the area. Also we tried the Big Lou sub (in-house roasted shredded beef) and the Formaggio (cheese bread), which were all on point. Drove over 30 minutes round trip and everything held up/tasted amazing. If you are in the surrounding area it's worth the trek. I only write this because we have tried 15+ different pizza options within a 45-60 minute round trip drive (Mackinaw to Onaway to Petoskey) and have to say Duncan City is the best all around. Give them your business and I promise you won't regret it. read more

What a disappointment! They forgot to put the feta and ham on our deep dish pizza, and the sausage was so sparse that we had exactly 12 pieces of it on our 8 piece deep dish pizza. Same situation with my wife's thin crust pizza: she ordered pineapple on it and there were 12 pieces of it on a 12 inch pizza. This is one of those places that posts amazing pics of their pizzas on their website, and then dole it out with tweezers in reality. They didn't Even answer the phone when I called to complain. We have been coming to mullett lake our whole lives. We have also happen to be pizza fanatics! We all agree; this was DELICIOUS!! So many great choices for sauces and toppings, fresh dough/ingredients AND they offer a gluten free option that tastes amazing! along with a cauliflower pizza option that we all feel is some of the best we have tried. Best take out/delivery in town. In any town in northern Michigan... and maybe anywhere. We extended our vacation an extra day to eat here again. The menu is diverse with quality ingredients and creative specialty items. The Michigan State salad is amazing, and not just because I'm a spartan (beets, pears, goat cheese, almonds, apple cider vinaigrette dressing). Pizza styles are varied, robust selection of both styles and toppings. The wings are smoked, not deep fried with several unique dipping sauces available. Garlic Parmesan bites are probably famous by now. Lastly, the customer service is excellent and delivery time more than prompt. We'll be back October of 2020 and plan to call ahead to make sure Duncan's is still here! read more
