It was a long day on the road and so we decided to order in pizza the old fashion way. We ordered a selection of 3 different pizzas. First up was the Graduate. Pan style pizza with thick crust, loaded with cheese and marinara, then topped pepperoni, bacon, sausage, and mushrooms. Next up was the Krab Rangoon. A sesame crust with cream cheese and crab as the sauce, covered in melted mozzarella, topped with crispy wontons and a sweet and sour sauce. Lastly, we did a custom pizza. Thin crust, house marinara, and topped with pepperoni, bacon, and jalapeño. All of the pizzas arrived hot and fresh. The driver was super friendly and was even a few minutes early. It was refreshing to place a delivery order where the tip went to the driver and there were no additional hidden fees. This spot is currently sitting at a 6.7 on my Beli. The pizza to crust ratio seems to keep getting worse ... I try my best to order from this place as much as possible and support another small business in town.. but every time, the past six orders I get more crust than pizza the flavor is always amazing, but I'm getting a couple inches in some instances of just literally plain crust... so I guess if an amazing crust is your thing this definitely is your place... but for the prices these days I definitely want more substance and not just bread... read more

We had Piper's pizza when we were in Harbor Springs for a ski trip. Their pizza was great then and equally great during our return trip this year. We ordered six pizzas - plain cheese (for two youngest grand daughters), pepperoni and pineapple (for oldest grand daughter, thin crust for the remaining four pies - pepperoni and ground beef, double beef and green peppers, barbecue chicken and pepperoni, onion and ground beef. We've ordered pizza several times now from Piper's, and we've been very satisfied. First whenever I call to place our order for delivery, I'm always greeted by mostly male phone staff, and they are always polite, Knowledgeable and quick to respond. We usually try various pizza combinations and have found the pizza ingredients to always be fresh and they don't ever complain when I ask to "Go Light on the Red Sauce". We are a little further from their location, but our pizza always arrives hot, drivers are always polite, neat and clean. Always a very good delivery ,and dining experience for us. It took 45 minutes for our pizzas to be ready. Plan ahead. We ordered twice during the week we were there and 45 minutes was typical. This is a takeout joint only. Pizza is always fresh and hot! The person on the phone recommended cheese bread and it did not disappoint. So good!

I always eat here when I'm in town, it's one of those "hole in the wall/dive places" that you really want to know about. It's only take out, but it's really good. If you are looking to be more than you really are, there's probably some waterfront places around that will be happy to blow smoke up your ass for a price. Off the beaten path pizza carryout that appeared to be run by a family. The Piperoni was excellent, tons of pepperoni, cheese and the perfect amount of sauce. It was hot from the oven. I was impressed by the way the crust was like crusty bread, not raw dough on the inside and just brown on the outside. We got what they call a 'pan' style pizza. We also got cheese-stuffed breadsticks which were perfectly crusty and buttery and had a lot of cheese inside. The service was friendly. read more

I ordered delivery from Piper's. I got the Brie's Special (spinach artichoke dip w/ chicken) and the Margherita pizza. I got the Brie's because it was listed as "by far" their "most popular pizza ever". To me it sounded strange but I figured I like spinach artichoke dip and I like pizza so let's try it. It was tasty if you like the very fattening taste of Alfredo sauce and other thick cream-based sauces, which I don't really love, at least not in high quantities. I wouldn't order it again, but for the most part, I enjoyed it. It was super rich. As for the Margherita pizza, calling it a Margherita pizza is a bit of a stretch. It is not like a traditional Margherita pizza at all because there are tomato slices, not fresh mozz, and pesto drizzle. That being said, I enjoyed it. It was my favorite of the two. The delivery was said to take 75 minutes (wow), but was a bit quicker than that. I haven't had much pizza in the area, but if I had to guess, this is probably your best option around here. We ordered pizza from Piper's twice. The first time, we ordered a pizza with a few toppings and had it delivered. It took over an hour to get here - they told us it would take an hour, so fair enough - but truly, if you can't deliver a hot pizza within 40 minutes, you should probably limit the distance of delivery to where you can. When we pulled a slice out of the box, it was so limp, the toppings fell off - the center of the pizza was way too soft. It tasted decent, but for the price, expected a bit more. We chalked it up to being a delivery and maybe we were second or third on the delivery person's route. We decided to give this place another try and this time ordered pizza, onion rings and antipasto salad. The onion rings were great - that is why I give this place two stars. The antipasto is nothing special at all - no thought went into this whatsoever. It was mixed greens - partially browned and limp, with cold cuts thrown in. Oh, and they use Swiss cheese . Isn't antipasto provolone? The dressing was a packet that they buy in bulk and have probably had for months - nothing fresh. Again, if it was inexpensive, I would expect to get this kind of stuff. Disappointed to say the least. Two times is two too many for Piper's. read more

Consistently delicious pizza. (And lots of other menu items but we always stick to pizza) They have some great specialty pizzas. Quality ingredients. On Friday and Saturday nights (and even weekdays in the summer) place your order early because it can often take 45 minutes to an hour because they are so busy. Even longer on busy holiday weekends. It's been years since I've been to this pizzeria and first since under new ownership. Being from the metro Detroit area, pizza in the Petoskey area never was as good as downstate IMO, it was edible, they tried hard, but it was missing something. I figured I'd give Piper's a try since it was under new ownership, and it was very good pizza, flavorful, and cooked perfect. The cheesy bread sticks were also top notch. I certainly would have no problem trying them again when in the mood for pizza. read more
