We are purchasing a home built in 2006 so decided to hire Adam to do our inspection. Wow! He was quick to respond and get our inspection scheduled and allowed 4 hours to really look at this home. He was incredibly thorough and knowledgeable and asked us to join him to look at several areas so he could give his input. Afterwards, he gave a nice summary of all he had discovered and while some of it was a bit alarming for us, he assured us that it was things that needed to be addressed but nothing to be overly concerned about and put us at ease. His report was emailed to us quickly and was easy to understand with pictures of all areas of concern. His price was reasonable and money well spent. I hired Adam, Duncan Home Inspection, for a home inspection in Hendersonville that I was in the process of purchasing. The realtor, who was the listing agent had lined up another inspector, but I discovered the positive feed back was from the selling agents company. I would call that collusion. Adam was very punctual, and was very open for me to accompany him on his 3 1/2 inspection. I would recommend any buyer to make sure that they take the time and accompany Adam on his inspection. His knowledge of building and proper code and materials was impressive. We discovered improper construction, poor drainage, roof issues, HVAC that needed replaced and a fireplace, that wasn't really a fireplace, but an enclosed fire box, with unvented gas logs and no flue or chimney. As a result of Adam's findings, I made an immediate decision to walk away from this nightmare of a house.
