Had dinner in Dundee and we decided to stay in the area to have a drink. I heard a lot about the Moscow Mules here and definitely wanted to try it. It came in a large copper cup and definitely worth the $5. They also had other selections of beer and a little wine cove in the back worth browsing through. The only complaint I had was the space. It was a little too cozy for my taste. I managed to get a stool, but some of my friends had to stand and i felt pretty bad about it. I can tell this place is a Dundee community favorite because the regulars were getting a bit rowdy when I was there. Also, I am in my early 20's and felt a little out of place with the older crowd there. Maybe I'll go again for the Moscow Mule, but that is really it for me. read more

Always a fun stop in Dundee! It's "cheers" in a shoe box. I mean that with all due respect. It's one of the smallest bars I've ever been a patron of but a great place for a quick cocktail, meeting locals & fun, relaxed atmosphere. I've been many times when I am in Omaha & love the "neighborhood feel". Great, warm & welcoming staff. Best time to visit is in the warmer months due to the size and location. (NE is cold in the winter but they do have outdoor heaters and of course the indoor space. ) Huge selection of vino! They'll even let order food from one of the many local restaurants in Dundee and dine there while you enjoy your cocktails. It is small, quaint and unpretentious. What a great little neighborhood bar.A TRUE GEM!! Very small, but very unique & intimate little place in the heart of the historic Old Dundee neighborhood. You almost feel like you are drinking in a wine cellar in some foreign country. Some of the unique characters that call themselves regulars make you feel that way too. I went there w/ 2 of my girlfriends to get away from the boys watching football the day after Thanksgiving. I suppose most people call that Black Friday, but I still call it the day after Thanksgiving. When we were trying to figure out what it is that we wanted to drink, the waitress was more than helpful telling us about their drinks & specials. Friendly patrons at tables near by all started offering up their suggestions. Almost every single one of them said that we just HAD to have their Moscow Mule, which of course was served in the traditional copper mug. I at least knew what they were talking about, I have had Moscow Mules before, but my friend had never heard of them. I was feeling in the mood for a glass of wine since as I said I felt like I was in an authentic wine cellar, but since everyone recommended the Moscow Mule, and my friend had never had one, all of three of us decided to go w/ the mules. I was not disappointed, and my two girlfriends felt the same way. The service was excellent & friendly, and the regulars were awesome! Also, if you drink a little too much, and need a bite to eat, there are several unique & local restaurants to choose from that most foodies flock too. You won't find a single chain store or restaurant in Dundee. And I'm sure the regulars can help you out with suggestions as well to fill whatever appetite you may have at the moment. It's a quaint little neighborhood that you really should visit if you are visiting from out of town. Well I know I can get a little wordy, but my review is nothing but positive, so go see for yourself what the Cork & Bottle is all about, and check out the neighborhood as well. I love this place! It's a hidden gem in Omaha. Lots of good wine and great people.

Came here after work to enjoy wine with my fiancé because this is where we had our first date. Sat inside for a bit to eat some falafel and then stepped outside for a smoke. When we came back, our food had been thrown away (we had been outside for maybe 5 minutes at this point and had a tab open)... we sat down at a table that had opened up outside a little disappointed but w/e we were there to enjoy some drinks the food was an afterthought. Nobody checked on us for about 30 minutes after we sat down outside...Meanwhile, a friend came up to chat with us. In the middle of our conversation, the male bartender interrupted us to say "hey guys, there are people smoking that want to sit down so...." (implying we needed to leave) The mood was completely ruined. I told him I was put off by the fact we had a tab open and wanted to drink more but nobody came, we weren't causing trouble, and he was telling us we needed to leave? We were and are so disappointed in a place we used to frequent tonight. He apologized when he brought us our tab but we were over it. Have some class and some respect for your customers. read more

Things are not as you might expect. Yes, when looking at the wine menu, the prices seem reasonable. That is, until you get the check. When you purchase a bottle of wine at this establishment, you will be charged a "Cork Fee". Absolutely ridiculous. A cork fee is meant for the business to maintain some form of profitability when patrons are allowed to bring in their own bottle of wine. Not here - they charge you a cork fee to purchase their bottles of wine. I won't be returning. read more
