Crazy good music on a Tuesday night, no cover.

What a welcoming place! The vibe here is quiet, smart and funny. The schedule of events ranges from traveling musicians, karaoke, and poetry readings. Lots of parking in the back. Bartenders are top notch.

This place is so inconspicuous that I have passed by it hundreds of times...I finally made the right choice to go in. The bar used to be a bookstore I believe, hence the name. Atmosphere is very laid back. Dimly lit, with bulb lighting, this is a great place to settle in and have a beer with a friend. There's a large TV playing some old indie film usually. It gives off nite owl vibes, but the Dundee version (without the food or the large crowd). There's about 5-6 beers on tap, specials every night, and happy hour every day. Definitely will be back in.

Came here for the first time on a cold Monday night, because it was my sister's last night in town, so I'm not surprised that it was pretty dead & there wasn't a lot going on. Would definitely like to come back when there's a show going on or something. The space is very cute & cozy, I love the wainscoting & the the wallpaper & the light fixtures. Feels like an old house. There's a little library nook with a cool vintage couch. However, the lighting was so dark that it was hard to appreciate the design of it all. Accompanied my sister when she went out to smoke on the patio & the heater on the awning was nice. Her friend bought everyone one of these sake in a juice box. Never heard of it before so not sure if they're common or a rare find, but how cute! Overall the experience was good but because it was so dark, kinda quiet & mostly empty, it almost lulled me to sleep. I'll have to check it out another time & give an update.

Great place for laid back, sit down cocktails. The ambiance is darker but great warm lighting. Actually able to have a conversation but enjoy the music too.

Simple but classic. It's hard to believe this bar used to house hundreds (or thousands) of used books... somewhat suprising that the smell doesn't linger a little, but that's probably the free Tuesday night taco bar's fault. The one and only drink I've had here so far was 'the pageturner'. One of the most bitter cocktails I've had in recent memory - and not in the best way. I'm generally a fan of bitters, but this had a little too much kick. I'm excited to go back and try something else though. As other has mentioned, the sunken bar is really unique, and the swivel lounge chairs were awesome. This would be a great spot to while away some hours during HH.

PTL is one of my favorite bars to go to. the recessed flooring for the bar back makes it comfortable to sit in the lower chairs. You are still eye to eye with the 'tender and sitting comfortably. Great beer selection and a smallish patio to go smoke or vape if you need to. Parking behind is better for me than parking openly on the street. The bartenders are very nice and there is not a huge Hipster vibe. Overall this is a great bar that deserves you to stop in and have some libations. give a fist bump to the barman and grab a drink

I split the Thai chicken and waffles with my sister and they had some amazing flavor. Not sure why they were green but they tasted great. The side of bacon scared me at first bc of the price but it's FULLY worth it. We got a huge plate of bacon and it was cooked perfectly. The side hash brown cake thing was also amazing - crispy on the outside, soft on the inside - incredibly unique in the execution and amazing. The espresso martini affogato improves on the original martini since I like some cream in mine. Make sure to plan some time for bunch though. It was about 2 hours before we got out of there (partially bc we ordered a little staggered) but we did have a nice long wait to get any drinks or food. Vibes and music were incredible as always.

We've been for steak night, which was terrific; this time we enjoyed perfect cheeseburgers with sides of Mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts. The Mac and cheese is noteworthy for its capacity to grow in volume while being consumed - a takeout box will be necessary to save the goodness for later meals. Brussels sprouts are seasoned, roasted, all the things that need to happen to turn this questionable veggie into a savory treat. Taps are varied and include local choices. Happy hour menu includes a $6 old fashioned

The Old Fashioneds are some of the best I've had anywhere, and Aaron is one of the most talented mixologists in the city. In fact, Aaron is a big reason many people keep coming back. He's exceptional at what he does, and every drink reflects that level of skill. The espresso martinis are fantastic, but the "Not Espresso Martini" was an unexpected favorite that kept us coming back. One of the things I love most is that the menu changes seasonally, giving us a reason to come back and work our way through the new cocktails to find our latest favorite. The bartenders are knowledgeable, welcoming, and clearly passionate about their craft. The atmosphere is cozy, intimate, and full of character. There are actual typewriters throughout the space, which perfectly fits the literary theme and adds to the experience. As a fun touch, my friend always receives a book with her receipt and reads a random paragraph before we leave. It's those little details that make Inkwell feel like a hidden gem rather than just another bar. If you're looking for creative cocktails, talented bartenders, and a unique atmosphere, Inkwell is absolutely worth a visit. Such a vibe.

Drinks are solid and consistently well made. Nothing gimmicky, just good cocktails done right. The ambiance is fair but comfortable, and the size makes it ideal if you're looking to have a real conversation with someone without yelling over music or crowds. Location is another plus. If you're after a cozy, intimate spot with good drinks and a relaxed vibe, Inkwell Bar delivers.

We were decently early on a Saturday night so we were able to slip right into a table! The food was good, I had the hummus plate with pita and cucumbers for dipping, love that they offer both options! Walked in around 2:30 pm on a total snow day and basically had the place to myself, which was kind of perfect. The vibe inside is exactly what I want in a bar: dark, moody, a little sexy, with dim lighting and rich wood tones. Total escape from the bland strip-mall parking lot outside. Night-and-day difference the second you step through the door. Happy hour runs every day until 6 pm (huge win), so I grabbed the Toasted & Roasted martini for $9--yes, it comes with a toasted marshmallow garnish that actually works--and it was dangerously good. Sweet, smoky, strong... one of those drinks you sip slowly because you don't want it to end. Paired it with the buffalo chicken sliders + fries and demolished everything. Sliders were spicy without being overkill, sauce was on point, and the fries were perfectly crispy. Service was friendly and quick even though it was quiet, and the bartender checked in just the right amount. Prices felt fair (especially with happy hour), and the whole experience just felt... cool. Like the kind of neighborhood spot you brag about finding. Already texted my local friends that they've been sleeping on this place. West End Omaha, I'll be back--hopefully next time with a bigger group so we can try more of the menu. Highly recommend!
