The owner was there, which made the experience feel even more special. She was incredibly friendly and welcoming, made me a smoothie, and was able to add protein powder, which I really appreciated. She also let me sample some chocolates while we chatted. This is exactly the kind of small business I love supporting. The space also seems like a great place to sit, read, write, or enjoy a treat. Ordered a decaf iced coffee (it's 5 PM, decaf is a common order!) and was told "I can't guarantee that you will get decaf unless you order an Americano". Ummm what? Is this what's in the mystery cup of coffee? Order an Americano. Very long wait for it, can't remember the last time I waited more than a minute or two for an Americano at Starbucks. Get my coffee, there's no milk out, only sweeteners and I like this drink with milk. It is LOUD inside, theres just not enough materials to absorb the noise to the point where I preferred to sit outside on a hot day than to be in the store waiting for my friend. Outside the trash cans were overflowing. Like I said, I don't really care much for Starbucks coffee but I always enjoy the experience, but this location needs a few more baristas to deliver the proper service. I see complaints that some people feel the bagels are tasteless and I don't get that. I've tried almost every one they offer and have always been satisfied. Weekends I'm looking to get in and out quickly and their service is always great. They have my order and in a few minutes I'm grabbing a crumb bun and I'm gone. While I'm looking for quick exit there are also plenty of tables to sit down and spend time to enjoy your food. They also offer a variety of sandwiches and sub that I have just never tried.
