Disappointing bagels. Stopped here while on the road for work, got a plain bagel and everything bagel with cream cheese. Stale, flavorless, tasted like cardboard. The paninis in the case looked good, maybe if I were to stop here again I'd try those. But I wouldn't recommend coming here for bagels unfortunately. read more

Hardy, full-size bagels made delicious here with eggs and toppings conveniently right off the road for quick pick up. The bagels here are really ideal for a bagel lovers. They are on the extra large side, but instead of thick like most places, they're flatter and wider which is great for eating bagel sandwiches. The cooks here knock it out of the park. The eggs, bacon, ham, whatever you put on there is always cooked great. Large selection of cream cheeses too and bagel types. They are in a strip mall very close to the 195 ramp near Great Adventure. Really easy to pull in with plenty of parking and get right into the store and get back in your car and on the road. Great place to hit up if you are getting onto 195 to go on the trip, especially with the family. If they order a bagel with eggs or cream cheese they will be full until lunch or later. Good for a road trip. It also has a very pleasant interior, nice seating and a nice staff. They are also quicker than most bagel places getting your food to you. My reason for not giving it 5 stars for a bagel joint is because I drink decaffeinated coffee, and it's never really hot here. The regular coffee is hot on the other hand. Also the coffee flavor is average. Other than that this place is great. Recommended if looking for bagels near the 195 ramp by Great Adventure. read more

Surprising attractive bagel house on Route 537 (Monmouth Road), Millstone, NJ - part of a small commercial strip. Nicely appointed dining area with large tables along windowed wall, and large functional kitchen area behind a phalanx of large refrigerated display units. Friendly service, and bins full of a variety of bagels. I was there to pick up an onion, butter and swiss sandwich to bring back to the office for lunch. They were out of the onion, but had plenty of everything bagels, my second choice. My order was sliced, smeared, swissed and wrapped in a matter of minutes. I was out the door in no more than five. Efficient operation. While the freshness may have lost a little something in the hour until I could eat it, I found the bagel to still have a crusty skin and airy dough with a full load of topside appointments, from salt to sesame and garlic nubs. It was a very good bagel, especially for the middle of Central Jersey. I would not hesitate to stop in again, and check out the rest of the menu. read more

I came here for lunch and ordered a panini. When I ordered I noticed the guy took a premade panini that was sitting in the window in the counter and he stuck it in the oven. After I ate the panini, my stomach was killing me for over 24 hours after. There would be no other reason why this happened except for the fact that this panini was probably sitting out for way longer than it should have. read more

We liked going to bagel bistro prior to covid. They were fairly consistent with their bagels and level of service. Went in recently and most of the staff was not wearing masks. I should have left. When I asked the woman taking orders why she wasn't wearing a mask she said it was her personnel choice. A mask is not a personnel choice while working at a restaurant during covid, its a requirement unless you work near a grill where fire could be an issue. This is just irresponsible behavior. My neighbors have all had a similar experience. Sorry that's it for me you have lost my business forever. read more

I used to love this place. I just walked into bagel bistro this morning and honestly don't even want to eat the food that was just made for me. I am a healthcare worker and we are now starting to see a rise again in more covid cases. There was a guy and girl behind the counter both not wearing masks or gloves. The only people that were, were the guys preparing the food and their masks weren't even on properly. I'm sorry but I have to protect myself and my health. If you can't make your business a safe and healthy place for me to eat I can't get food from you anymore. Yeah you will say "oh whatever it's just one customer" but word gets around. Stopped in for a quick breakfast. Located at the end of the strip mall. I've been here once before and this was my second time. Very awkward feeling when you walk in. There was probably 7 workers behind the counter and when you go to order they just have blank stares... it didn't happen to just us, I saw it happen to other people ordering too. We ordered a bagel with cream cheese and a pork roll egg and cheese on a roll, took about 10 minutes around 8$. They take cards or cash.Both were good, nothing spectacular but hit the spot. Menu looks to be 10$ and under for the most part. They have hoagies, sandwiches, variety of bagels,fresh cold cuts. They had paninis made behind the glass already made and sitting out? I've always passed by this place for years, but never stopped in until recently. I ordered an iced coffee and he ordered breakfast. The whole experience was really odd--they didn't seem to know what was on their menu and when I asked if they had iced coffee (because it wasn't on the menu) they said, 'we have coffee and you can get ice over there.' The people are so nice and friendly, but the bagels are not very good. A good bagel should be chewy on the outside (but not tough), and soft on the inside. The bagels at Bagel Bistro taste more like thick bread. The blueberry bagel tasted nothing like blueberry. It was just slightly sweeter than a plain bagel, with very artificial-looking blue spots. I've eaten here twice now because I was willing to give it a second chance but I don't think we will be back. read more

A local bagel establishment that specializes in breakfast menus. Greeted by friendly staff, great variety of breakfast menus and drinks to choose from, my friends and I had pretty good, quick breakfast here. We ordered the classic sausage, egg, and cheese with the everything bagel. From what I saw, their bagel choices were pretty impressive. I even saw one person order the rainbow bagel! The line goes by very quick and you pay after your meal. After you order, the staff brings your order to your table which was very convenient. The price was very fair too. I think for 4 bagels and 3 drinks it came out to be around $13. I've been to a lot of bagel establishments that over price their products that isn't worth the price, but this place does a good job and keeping that fine balance between quality and price of service. Today, I went into Bagel Bistro in Millstone for a couple bagels. As I waited behind the customer at the counter, I noticed he wasn't wearing a mask, and the person behind the counter didn't even make an attempt to ask him to put one on(it wasn't present on his person as far as I could see - not around his neck, having off his ear, nor in any of his outer pockets). That's because the guy at the register had his mask down on his chin! Then I noticed the two guys at the grill had theirs down under their noses. It wasn't until one of them noticed I was looking at them, with my mask on, that he sheepishly pulled his up over his nose. I work for Wegmans in Produce - the busiest department in the store - and I wear mine for eight hours every day, and wash my hands every thirty minutes, or as close to it as I can get, and use hand sanitizer. I don't like it any more than these guys do, I guarantee. But I do it. For our country and my fellow countrymen. Needless to say, they won't be seei g me any more. read more

The bagel here was on point. It was hot, fresh, and was just right with a cup of coffee. I also had egg whites on it which were great. I'm a simple guy, and this bagel was simple and delicious. They have both booth and table seating here. You order at the register, and then they call your name when the order is ready. Plenty of parking in the lot here. First of all, I don't want to see a slew of workers without a mask hovering over my food during COVID. That aside, this place is a dump. Nasty seems to be the rule of customer service, even after they f-up and downtown up to it. Sat waiting for an eternity watching flies land in the premier panini and asked for a 1/2 a sandwich l and a bagel, finally after 20 minutes (empty place too!) I go up to ask what's up, it's like the ticket was lost in oblivion even though it was sitting right on the counter. Another genius takes over, she makes the order up but claimed it was already done, screws up the bagel selection and when I go back in to have her change it she throws both bagels at me without an apology and says "take both, nothing we can do with the first one!" (Wtf- was it my fault???) and ..: on a more general note, the quality of their bagels is a joke. Garbage. read more

To say it short and sweet, this place is great! We had their new dinner menu and I loved my burrito and those mac & cheese bites. I strongly recommend the pork burrito, I asked for a side of guacamole which was also excellent. The store is very clean and the staff was quite attentive. I have also been here for breakfast and lunch and I can truthfully say that the bagels are delicious and that I haven't had a panini I didn't like! Overall, the Bagel Bistro is 5 stars and I will always make it my stop when I visit the Jackson Outlets or Great Adventure. Also, best bacon in Jackson. That alone deserves recognition. read more

If I could give no stars I would. My fiancé was in there earlier today ordering bagels for myself and the guys at my shop. The lady taking orders misheard my fiancé say she wanted our bagels toasted. The lady proceeded to berate my fiancé and say that she never said that. The cherry on top was that my fiancé was forced to pay for bagels the lady had mistakenly gotten wrong. Not only that but she wad awfully rude in the process. I would never treat anyone that way let alone a customer. I understand things are tough right now but being that rude over a bagel is a disgrace. read more
