Wow, so many one and two star reviews for this Dunkin'. I would concur a bit. Try not going on the weekend between 9 and 11, or you will be waiting a while. They do get slammed. However, I feel they have improved a bit over the years. I used to avoid this location entirely because coffee drinks tasted too bitter to me. Not anymore. On the other hand, I usually only order iced coffee with hazelnut and cream, and I think I used to have more of an issue with their iced espresso drinks. But hey, I love my drink, and it's made consistently every time. All of my food orders have been good also. They ended up giving him the rest of the strawberries dragon fruit refresher. Then they decided to make our order and said they were out after we were waiting an hour! I enjoy grinding my own beans. However, at least 4 out of 5 times I request the whole bean, regular roast bag of beans, they don't have any in stock at the Hornell, NY store. Sometimes they apologize, sometimes the employees don't seem to care, and sometimes they are surly. I may just switch brands. Another western NY company has excellent coffee. They are a bit pricey, and shipping is required; but if Dunkin employees have such little loyal company loyalty, where is my incentive to stay? read more

Occasionally I will go to this store and purchase drinks and sometimes food. The last few experiences I was appalled with the way some of the employees were communicating with each other behind the counter with customers present. Cursing and complaining on how busy they have been all morning was the issue for the obscene language and disrespect. I was also enraged knowing that employees would speak so poorly of some customers that were waiting in the drive thru. Both times I went to DD they were rather busy. The first time was around 10:30am and the drive thru was backed up with approximately over a dozen vehicles waiting to be served. I remember specifically of one lady, she wore glasses, had dark hair, and maybe in her late 20s - early 30s (I believe she was also the manager during that shift because of the way she conducted herself behind the counter). Constantly she would speak very poorly of the customers in the drive thru and was extremely rude, in my opinion, when she would begin to take orders from each customer. I believe a lot of hot food was being served that day because her initial interaction with every drive thru customer was, "are you getting Hot Food?!" Might I add, while I am waiting at the pick up window inside for my drinks and food, I am hearing in disgust every word being spoken. What made this visually unpleasant was that while she was complaining, picking, and poking she would just stand there and talk when she could of helped out the poor guy that was busting his hump to get all this food out in a timely manner. My second poor experience, which is the reason I am writing today, happened today December 14, 2018 at around 8:30am. Again, another extremely busy morning. Over a dozen vehicles waiting in the drive thru as well as a half dozen customers waiting inside to place an order. I could not believe the language of this one employee. Let's just say his favorite word would probably have to be "Shit"! I was second in line and the DD delivery truck pulled up. A little commotion came about behind the counter about the truck being there. I finally step up to place my order and the gentleman (if I can call him one) greeted me and as I was about to place my order he yelled out AND I QUOTE, " Who is going to be taking my place here up in the front so I can do the truck? I've been here since 5:00 this morning and really need a cigarette SHIT... You bet your ASS I am going to do the truck so I can have a cigarette. What can I get you sir?" Then I proceeded to place my order. I am from Hornell myself. In all honesty, I am appalled by some of the employees that are hired at that store. Terrible service. Employees cursing and carrying on complaining conversations with a room full of customers. One employee getting doughnuts with her bare fingers instead of using the tissue paper. Seriously this place has went down the drain so much from last summer, I would always come here before going to work and my drinks and food where amazing.. a couple days ago I ran inside because I was running a bit late and I was the only one standing inside at the front where we order 15 minutes went by and people would just look at me and not say a word about 5 minutes after I just walked out very annoyed, I went threw the drive threw this morning and it took about 30 minutes, got up to the drive threw ordered our drinks just a med. regular coffee with extra cream and sugar and a med Carmel craze latte the lady told us back our order and everything was correct went up to the window and just gave us one large coffee with regular cram and sugar and said that was the only thing we ordered. Worst experience ever in a Dunkin Donut. I was inside the store for over 20 minutes getting a iced coffee and ham and cheese croissant. There were four people ahead of me in line and everyone had to repeat their order multiple times. I believe a new girl was working, she was clearly overwhelmed. When she asked for help a young man just started pushing buttons on the register but did not explain anything to her. How is she suppose to learn? Three times the person making my coffee hollered questions to me from behind the counter. I will admit the iced coffee was good, much better than my croissant. I have seen stampedes more organized than this place so much so that we actually stopped going, but occasionally find ourselves needing to stop to get gift cards, etc. The surface of the moon has less craters than the drive thru. My order had never EVER once been correct, no one is knowledgeable about the register, today there was a new girl and she needed help and the manager could have helped but was too busy taking smoke breaks.
