These are the BEST doughnuts I have ever had. No. Seriously. THE best. But I do have to confess that I didn't stray too far from the cruller and the plain glazed doughnut just because my mouth wouldn't let me. The texture of both was moist... not the just-about-cooked-and-still-sort-of-wet kind of moist, but the perfectly-cooked sort where the dough just melts in your mouth. (I'm a texture eater... What can I say?) and there wasn't so much glaze that it overpowered the doughnut (I'm lookin' at you, Krispy Kreme). Now, I must give you fair warning that there isn't much of a selection. They offer the basics: plain, glazed, crullers (on Fridays), jelly-filled, chocolate, powdered, blueberry, and the occasional seasonal flavors like pumpkin, BUT they are so delicious that you don't need all the crazy toppings to distract you from the dough. A dozen doughnuts goes for $7.45 and they accept credit/debit on anything over $5. They also offer bagels, but 1) why would you ever buy a bagel outside of the metropolitan NYC area and 2) why would you buy a bagel when their doughnuts are so damn delicious?? read more

The bagels and many of the donuts are very popular in the area. I would recommend the donuts over some of the other pastries. The beehives are probably their signature donut. Service is quick and the ambiance is pretty typical of a local bakery. read more

Little local donut shop that blows other donut shops right out of the water! Locally owned and operated, they make EVERYTHING in-house! They actually fill their donuts and I mean FULL! If you like white cream, get their early cuz they run out...but they're my favorite! They also make great bagels, best in the Elmira area. If you buy a coffee, you get a donut free. This is the best place around for a breakfast sandwich and doughnuts! The service was incredible & I immediately felt welcome! The breakfast sandwich in a homemade bagel was the best I have ever had. The food is always very good here that is why it's so hard to only give 2 stars, but because of the experience I've had the last 3 times I went there, that's the rating I had to go with. There is a particular individual that works there that is absolutely the most miserable person I have ever seen work in a customer service based business. I am a customer service associate and know that no matter what my day is like, how I present myself to a customer makes an impact on the company I work for. If I am pleasant amd respectful, that could potentially make someone want to come again. If I am miserable and rude, and make the experience a bad one for a customer, it's likely they will not return. That is the case for me here. I've lived around the corner for years and been there several times. I've seen this person working there quite a few times, but she has never waited on me. Until recently, she's waited on myself and my grown son the last 3 times. My son wanted to order separate from me, and was standing beside me where he could not see the minimum requirement sign for card transactions and when he asked for an item and handed her his card, she have him the rudest look, rolled her eyes at him and without saying anything slammed her finger on the sign taped to the counter and stared at him like he was stupid for trying to pay her with the card. He apologized and asked to add some items to get to the minimum and she took a loud deep breath and turned with an attitude and tossed what he asked for in a bag and dropped it on the counter. The other 2 experiences were very similar. That is absolutely uncalled for. I raised him to be respectful so he tried apologizing but she wasn't even trying to hear it. I will no longer patron there because of that 1 person. And I will miss the pastries, but I would rather go someplace where a smile isn't too much to ask for. This world is so ugly and sad anymore. read more

Being from NY i have a high expectation when it comes to bagels and baked treats. This is by far the closest thing to a real bagel in the area so far. Everyone was nice and i had an awesome aroma of coffee and cookies upon entry. Coffee and treats were fresh and tasty. Decor is what you would expect from a coffee joint. I might point out awesome cabinetry in the back. All in all a great start to the morning less than 10$. Kind of wish there was a drive thru. Also just fyi you have to spend 10$ to use a credit or debit card. I used cash so non issue for me. read more

THEIR DONUTS! They are sooo good! Its hard to pick which one to get. I also love when they have the iced cookies. If you are thinking of stopping for donuts or their locally famous bagels on a weekend I'd recommend the earlier the better. Sometimes things are sparse by 10am. During the week give yourself an extra 15-20 minutes because they take one persons order and will not do anything else until that customer is done (no multitasking here). I know what you're thinking that's what they should do but for efficiency's sake instead of standing waiting for a bagel to toast they could get the next persons going or get someones donuts/coffee. Just make the overall flow smoother. Also nothing over cheery here so have your order ready when it's your turn or you will get the impression they are getting impatient with you. read more

This is the best place in Elmira to buy fresh bagels and doughnuts by far! It doesn't get much better than this! Always very good and prompt service. Try some freshly mixed cream cheese to put on those bagels...I prefer the chives and the plain bagels but there is a variety of different types of cream cheese and bagels to choose from on a daily basis. I love love love their bear claws (apple fritters) This is definitely a required stop when in the Elmira area. read more

You have not had a real doughnut unless you have had a Kountry Krullers doughnut. You never have to worry about them being fresh, because they run out pretty early every day, so call ahead if you need a large quantity. They are the VERY best I have ever had. Absolutely five stars!! read more

I love their products. But I am getting tired of the attitude of the one worker in the business. I was there 8/01/2014 and she was very rude slamming my order in the bag. Acting like it was a bother for her to wait on customers. No one likes going into a business when you are treated this way. This is not the first time it has happened and they were not even busy at the time! She treats all the customers the same. Dunkin Donuts looks better all the time, at least they are not rude. read more
