I do live 700 miles away from Savona, but when I am there, I will visit this excellent diner. They produce great tasting entrees from yesteryear, at a great price, and they are also concerned about people needing to maintain a gluten-free diet. They show us that this is how to run a restaurant. They care about their patrons.

The owner insists the waitress needs documentation that a dog is an actual service dog. (That's easily purchased online no training needed) by law businesses can only ask two questions is a service dog for a disability and what task does it perform. They are NOT allowed to ask for documentation of a disability or certification of the dog. They are however allowed to ask a service animal be removed if it is not house trained or acts aggressively and is not immediately corrected. I will agree that too many people take advantage of this however fake service animals affect those of us with true service animals also. If the owner implements these rules they or their manager should speak to a handler not put the poor wait staff in the middle. Monica you're the best.
