Happenstance threw me at the door step of this legendary Temple of Donutery. Back in college I used to stop in a Dunkin daily Monday thru Friday at 10 pm. After a long day of full-time work then night school! That's right Gen Z! My standard order was a chocolate cream filled and a Bavarian cream. Plus a Coffee to go. I had to go home and study before repeating the next day. I don't know what I would have done without Dunkin. They were open 24 hours back then and making fresh donuts the whole time. I always liked Dunkin' for a quick breakfast, but every thing changed after my last visit. Sandwich was not even toasted (false advertising with the picture they have on the menu). I asked for a croissant after 6 minute the lady told me they were out and gave me a sourdough. Walked in here at about 7:10pm yesterday for a quick sweet treat. There was no employee at the front of the store for several minutes which was interesting.. then we noticed that some screens displayed "store is closed." If it wasn't for the self-order kiosks, we likely would've just walked out but proceeded to order since we just wanted a few donuts. I peeked around the kitchen and saw a girl employee trying to hide from us (nice), she did not acknowledge us in anyway. We stood there waiting for another 2-3 minutes with no employee around and then finally a boy comes from the back asking how he can help us. I'm irritated now and just want what I paid for. He handed us the donuts we ordered and we left, never to return again. Also, the floors were super soaking wet which I take it is from them wanting to clean and close as soon as possible. Today when I went to Dunkin, they didn't include espresso in our coffees. Some of the workers were just standing around doing nothing even though it was busy. A lady asked for a cup of water, and the worker sighed really loudly and was annoyed. That is terrible service. The drinks were awful and they prioritized the drive-through. Great drinks when they have them in stock. I had been coming here often and getting a few drinks and a breakfast item a few times a week for coworkers. A few days ago I received a croissant sandwich with bacon, egg, and cheese on it with a large black hair to garnish (see photos). I contacted their support to see if I could be compensated to not post reviews about it since they hadn't disappointed up until then, but no response from them for days. Since I'm from out of town and am in town visiting family, we had a yearning for a particular type of donut(s). This location was the first choice since they supposedly close at 8pm. But upon arrival at around 6pm, the lobby was closed due to a sign that said that they were "cleaning". Gone downhill. Service is really hit or miss. Often the person on speaker at drivethru is giggling or 30% listening and 70% listening to coworkers talk in the background. Sometimes they decide to talk in a SUPER weird accent and act like a toral weirdo other times they are professional. No consistency.... Iced Coffee is sometimes great sometimes gross, like watery sugar milk.... Esp cold brew varies sooo much! Drive thru visit this morning. The line was super long and moved a bit slowly but we don't mind crowds as they are usually a sign of good grub. Hubs wanted this spicy smoked sausage breakfast sandwich. Sadly, they were out. I wanted hash browns. Sadly, they were out of those too. We ended up order the sausage egg and cheese croissant, the donut sandwich, an iced caramel coffee and a white chocolate latte. The croissant was good. It wasn't super soft like some croissants, it had some chew. But this was a good chew. The buttery goodness was what you'd expect from a croissant, but not too much goodness. The eggs are interesting; they were like an over easy scramble patty? They seemed processed but that is the industry standard so no foul. The sausage was the same - industry standard patty. All in all this was a good sandwich that I would order again. The donut sandwich had the same egg patty and a few soft, homeless and rejected looking pieces of bacon on it. It was pretty sad and there were barely any sad pieces on the sandwich. If I didn't get an off lot, the bacon needs an overhaul. Thicker slices with more crisp or chew. Not what appears to be cast off shavings of ham. The donut was warm and soft and not overly glazed. The donut was good enough to make me want another one. The iced coffee was good. Not too sweet. Packed enough punch to make your brain wake up. The vanilla latte was good but a disappointment because they barely filled the cup half way with coffee - not cool. I'd go back. My husband goes here very often and when it first opened he got a couple of incorrect drinks but in the last few months everything has always been spot on! On Saturday and Sunday mornings it is always busy and a line to the door. So you need to be incredibly patient if you are going on one of these mornings.
