Great sweat tea and the bagels were delicious. The price for 1 large sweet tea 1 medium butter pecan coffee and TWO bagels, was 7 bucks! One stupid coffee at lamebucks is 7 dollars. Since the pandemic I have been unable to go out places I've instead been relying on delivery services such as Ubereats and Doordash. I have ordered from this Dunk'in Donuts usingcboth UberEats and Doordash and both times I have horrible experiences, the first time I Doordashed my Dunkins order the harsh browns were soggy and tasted as though they were soaked in cleaner completely inedible so i had to toss them and they gave me an iced latte instead of a hot latte which simultaneously tasted both burnt, sickeningly sweet, and bland. When I ordered through UberEats I got an iced latte, breakfast sandwich, and an old fashioned doughnut. Again the coffee was disgusting and had bits of receipt in it. RECEIPT paper during a pandemic also revolting. as a previous reviewer complained of raw bacon I too received raw bacon on my sandwich and the egg was old tasting and rubbery. The old fashion doughnut was perhaps the worst doughnut I've ever tasted it was undercooked, doughy and stale. I'm going to preface this by stating that I'm not from the North therefore I don't get the fascination with DD. Manchild is from the Cape though, and apparently up there DD is like Starbucks down here, something sacred and all. I've been to this location many times and yesterday super annoyed me. We went through the drive through at 5 pm on Sunday. We ordered an iced coffee and a small white hot chocolate and two donuts. We get to the window and wait. Then we wait some more. I kid you not...we waited almost four minutes without any acknowledgement at the window. A young man finally came over and said "We don't have white hot chocolate." Ok. Fine. It shouldn't be on the menu, but whatever. I corrected it to a salted caramel. Then we continue waiting. Manchild finally honked after another three minutes because we were watching the two young men do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING during this time. He told the young man who came to the window to please hurry up as the line had gotten insane (anyone who's been here knows this line can get out of hand and impede the way too small parking lot) and we finally get out drinks. Manchild asks about the donuts. They are out. We've already been charged. So we have to then wait for them to refund and everything. It took 13 minutes in the end to get two drinks at DD. I know it's a northern staple, but this location simply blows. One star because my very small (when they say small they mean small) hot cocoa was really good! read more

I'm allergic to regular milk and can only have almond or soy (what they carry) and it has been 4 times already I waste money on a drink that I can't even drink bc it's regular milk and the last two times I even said it slowly through the drive through so they wouldn't mess up and they do every time. Dunkin Corp needs to put a stop to the regional managers direction. Removed all unique flavors like cinnamon and coconut blaming it on allergies. Which is BS as all NE stores still serve them. Also don't get me started on how this and other locations are allowed to sand bag their stock of donuts serving stale product. Somebody needs to send their managers back to the Northeast to learn how this concept should be run and executed. Your coffee is also starting to taste as if the containers haven't been properly cleaned and weeks. Shame on you guys.. Have you ever had a truly great drive-thru experience? Me neither, until today! I had no idea what I wanted, deciding to stop at DD for my "taste every iced coffee drink in McKinney" tour. The man in the speakerbox was so helpful and guided me to the Macchiato which was amazing! We chatted a bit at the window and he gave me a few donut holes on the low-low because I had to wait a couple minutes for fresh brewed espresso in my drink. HELLO - double score! He thanked me for coming to his store before heading off to make my drink... I know most people only come to this site to post bad experiences. But I was so absolutely pleased with my service and my apple fritter that I just had to come here and let everyone know. And I am NOT a morning person! This Dunkin' Donuts participates in the rewards promotion of the Dunkin' Donuts app. The location is convenient with a drive thru but it can get congested with a shared parking lot with Floyd's Barbershop and Mooyah Burgers. The service is slow at the drive thru and in the store. You can bypass the line using the on-the-go online ordering from the app. The indoor seating is small. There's a nice outdoor sitting area with some covering that is not often used by patrons. The coffee drinks (hot and cold caramel macchiato) are inconsistent in its sweetness. According to the app, there are 3 pumps of caramel swirl in a large caramel macchiato (both hot and cold). If the person making your drink is heavy handed, your drink will be too sweet. I find myself ordering with just 1 pump which ends up being sweet enough. read more

Stopped there this morning with my daughter grabbed some donuts and a coolatta for her. Service was good, coolatta was good but the donuts were horrible. One of the donuts, which was a sour cream donut, had no sour cream taste. My daughter said it tasted like sugar and expired cake batter. She said her jelly filled donut tasted nasty. Terrible service, I was waiting for more than 6 min in front of the register machine and nobody came to see what I need, they were around 6 employees working and talking each other by the kitchen, two of them saw me and just they werw talking like nobody was waiting for them.... they lost a customer and I asking my family and friends not stopping by because I don't want for them the same terrible experience that I have had... were they racists maybe? This location is sad. The drive through is slow. The donuts are stale tasting, but today something that doesnt effect me really sealed the deal. There is a sign "effective today, cups of water 25 cents". How cheap must a business be to charge for a cup of water? Don't tell me "those cups cost money". With the profit that they made from my cup of coffee, they could buy 100 cups which would probably last all week. What this makes me wonder is what other areas are corners being cut to save a Nickle? Maybe they clean half as often to save on detergent? Maybe they stretch the milk an extra day to reduce waste/extend profit? Let's be honest. 2 Customers in the building, and I had to circle the parking lot twice waiting for a spot to open. There simply aren't enough spots for the three businesses in the plaza. I can't even imagine it at a really busy time. In general, I think Dunkin' is overvaluing their product. Their prices are pretty much the same as gas station prices even though economy of scale says that they should be able to price what they do lower or at least produce a far superior product. Their quality is no better than other donut shops that charge far less for pastries and drinks and really not much different than the grocery store. The other problem I had was the sign over the empty donut croissant bins and the video feed showing them on the menu monitor the whole time I was there depite the fact that there wasn't one available to be purchased. read more

Went through the drive in this morning. Ordered one kolache and a chocolate glazed donut. Got to the window and paid the bill. While I sat there for 6 minutes all the crew of 10 were partially busy and the others dilly dallying around. My order came back with a large iced coffee and sausage sandwich. I told them that this was not my order. Repeated it again and finally handed my order. When I looked in the sack the kolache was still frozen and I received a chocolate cake donut instead. I recently moved from New England and I was very happy to see DD come to McKinney. I didn't want to go to one of those "Donut" shops for my coffee. I will say that the people are nice and friendly......but that is where it stops. They definitely don't have the process down to handle drive through service (although I can say that about most fast food places in Texas). I could lay my impatience on me being a New Englander, but I was disappointed that the service is very slow and I've come to expect better from DD's. You should not wait any more than 2 minutes for a coffee at the window and I'm lucky if I get out of there in less than 5. I also am not all that impressed with their coffee. Dear Dunkin Donuts, I'm not a huge fan of Donuts but I heard that you had great Chai Tea and Coffee. I decided to stop by at 6:00 a.m. to get some Donut Holes and a Vanilla Chai Tea at your El Dorado location in McKinney, TX. Growing up in Torrance, CA, we had one Dunkin Donuts and I remember the staff being extremely friendly. What happened to you Dunkin Donuts? I visited your location this morning and simply asked if there was a way to make my chai tea a bit stronger by adding less water. The clerk proceeded to roll her eyes at me and said, "I can only add an expresso shot." Well, if you know me, and you've heard me speak, you know that I do not need an expresso shot. I told her that I didn't drink expresso, but she still didn't give me a straight answer as to whether or not they could simply use less water, so I let it slide. Then I asked for a croissant for my Mother, which I assumed would be toasted, but she simply threw the croissant in a bag, (mind you this is after I asked if I could have some jelly and butter to go along with the croissant.) Instead of telling me that there was a section of the facility that had a stand that held Jelly packets and condiments, she simply said she would put jelly in the bag and didn't do it. I got in line to get my Chai Tea and I noticed that two people who arrived after me received their coffee and Tea before I did, and I thought that was a tad bit strange, but I didn't complain about it. Then I tried to call out to two of the wait staff to ask if they could toast the croissant and no one wanted to toast it! The guy who finally got me my repulsive Chai tea agreed to toast the croissant but again he looked extremely annoyed and I received another eye roll. Yes, I know it's early in the morning, and maybe the majority of people who come in there are complete a-holes, but that doesn't mean that you treat your customers with that kind of an attitude. I usually write good reviews about establishments, but I must say that I've never had such shoddy service in my life. I actually tossed out the Vanilla Chai and went to the McDonalds next door and ordered a black coffee that tasted much better. I don't like to report individuals who work at establishments because I realize the service industry is a hard industry to work for, and that people can be extremely rude and degrading. I don't want anyone to lose their jobs or to get in trouble with their boss. I see that it works both ways, and I don't think a clerk should assume that every customer is going to be mean. I make it a point to be extremely kind to anyone who waits on me because they are performing a service. I do believe that I will notify this Dunkin Donuts just to ensure that their customers aren't being treated like this on a daily basis. I was not rude or obnoxious, and I don't think asking someone to toast your croissant is that big of a deal. Even if they were to offer free donuts (which I don't really like,) I would visit another Dunkin Donuts. I would say to avoid this establishment. I was about to order the glazed ones when I noticed a fruit fly land on one of them. Well when I took a closer look, there were literally dozens of fruit flies all over the glazed donut holes. Stopped at this Dunkin Donuts on 1/12/2013 and my experience was really awful. I ordered an egg white flat sandwich, pumpkin cake donut and coffee. My coffee tasted old and had grinds in it, the egg white flat tasted stale and like it had just been heated up instead of prepared fresh and the pumpkin cake donut actually made me gasp. It was the most unnatural orange color I have ever seen in a food. I took one small bite and the flavor matched the color...artificial. So I threw the donut, the other half of the sandwich and the rest of the coffee in the trash. There are too many good donut places in town to waste my time here. I have been here several times in the past and it was OK, but this experience made it the last time I'll be back here. read more

I love their donuts (as you would expect, right?), and the employees are very friendly. The only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars is it's just not the cleanest place. I've come in at different times of the day and the tables inevitably need to be wiped down, the floors are a mess, and the bathrooms aren't stocked.
