On my continuing drive-about breakfast adventures, I stumbled into Edison Depot -- part restaurant,…read morepart coffee shop, part ice cream parlor, and 100% small-town charm. First impression? The place was incredibly clean -- the kind of clean where you almost hesitate to set down your coffee mug because you don't want to mess up the shine. Inside, the locals were holding court: talking crops, local happenings, and laughing like this was their morning news network. It felt less like eavesdropping and more like I'd been drafted into the Edison Breakfast Club. I went with the Country Fried Steak and scrambled eggs (the waitress must've sensed I needed backup protein). The food was solid, classic diner fare -- hearty enough to fuel a day of farming, driving, or just another round of local gossip. The real MVP? The service. My waitress treated coffee refills like an Olympic relay -- the bottom of my cup never once saw daylight. For the tribe, I ordered a breakfast bowl, a half order of biscuits and gravy, some bacon, and even oatmeal to keep things balanced. The portions were generous, and it all packed up neatly for the road. Pro Tip: Don't just come hungry, come curious. Sit back, sip your coffee, and you'll leave knowing more about Edison crops than you ever planned. Verdict: Edison Depot is the kind of place where breakfast isn't just a meal -- it's a community event with eggs, gravy, and unlimited coffee on the side.

It's a unique place with an old train car built into the structure. Be careful on the steps. Tjey don't have anything vegan and not much is vegetarian, but my parents enjoy the burgers and say it's much better than fast food. I had a grilled cheese with fries. It was good, if a little basic, but it was also really cheap. Could make it at home, but nice to eat out sometimes. Much cheaper than grilled cheese at a food truck. The burgers are cheaper than fast food so it is better to go here as opposed to a fast food chain. They also have an ice cream parlor, but I haven't tried that yet. Over it's pretty good.

It was a good bit north of "well done." I asked for no pickle and got pickle. I really don't like the taste of pickle, but was not going to ask for a new burger just because it has some pickle juice on it. The bun was nicely grilled. I was not sure whether to get sweet potatoes fries or regular fries and the cashier offered a mix. I liked that and both types of fries were very good -- served hot and seemed like they were cooked in fresh and clean oil. The regular fries had just a touch of breading or batter, I think. The fries were the best part of my meal. No fountain soft drinks and just a soda in a can for $2. That's definitely a point against them. The store was extremely clean and it looks like they had good desserts. They have egg for their burgers which is a plus for me. They bill themselves as halal-friendly, that's good. Lots of vegetarian choices on the menu.

We saw advertisements for this place on a local FB group and decided to drive out to give them a try last night for dinner. The menu is simple, burgers, sandwiches, appetizers. You can pay $2.99 to add fries to any sandwich which makes their prices comparable to many restaurants that include fries. We ordered a mozzarella stick app, bacon blue cheese burger, cowboy candy burger, and a highland burger all with fries + 2 sodas and it was about $44 + a tip. We also ordered 3 cookies which I didn't realize we weren't charged for until after I got home. The dessert and "specials" didn't have prices on the board, so I was surprised to see the special burgers were nearly $10 each. I reached out to their fb page to let them know that we weren't charged for our cookies and offered to pay for them - was pretty surprised when I called to pay and it was almost $15 for 3 cookies. Pricing transparency is extremely important to our family because we do have a slim dining out budget and always tip. Given that we live 30 mins from the restaurant and got carryout, I'll be easy on my review and we will give them another try with dining in. The young girl working the counter when we ordered seemed pretty overwhelmed and the customer service left a lot to be desired. Our daughter said the bacon blue burger was very good - she didn't enjoy her fries (none of us did, but could definitely be because we had a 30 min drive home and they were in styrofoam containers). My husbands cowboy burger came with a jalapeño sauce, but the bun soaked it up before we ever made it home. He also did not enjoy his fries. I got the highland burger which came with coleslaw and purple onion on it. Maybe I'm picky regarding coleslaw, but mine was very bland. I ended up adding pepper and celery seed to the top of my burger/coleslaw to try and salvage it. The burger was pretty dry and didn't include any additional sauce or cheese on it. Like I said, we will definitely try again but will dine in the next time. There are several tables inside the place, but no waitstaff. You grab a menu, place your order at the counter, and find a table. I do hope they succeed because the owner was very nice when I reached out regarding not being charged for the cookies, but I believe in order to attract more people from outside of North Lewisburg they'll really have to step up their game.

It's in hidden in the plaza so you won't necessarily see it off the Main Street. Once you're inside it has a warm friendly vibe. You get to see the donut making first hand since it's an open kitchen. The menu has many created flavors for the chocolate , fruity, or seasonal lover. Not finding something you like, you can make your own. Think of Cold Stone but for donuts. I decided to go with a few of the created flavors, Honey Blue, Raspberry Beret, and the Mitch. They came piping hot out and were glazed and topped right in front of me. It was great but the icing didn't have a chance to set fully because the donut was so hot. I suggest to ask if you can have them wait a minute or two before putting on the glaze I love the story behind explaining who Donna is. I love learning the back story of any business. I will definitely be back to try other flavor combinations.

I really wanted to like Donna's Delicious Dozen given the great ratings and how much I love donuts,…read moreespecially mini donuts. Unfortunately, I have to say my experience was not the best. We came here on father's day as this location is quite far from us as we live on the West side of Columbus. While I had checked the website to ensure they were open before we drove to the store, upon arrival, they had posted a sign that they weren't taking walk-ins due to the online order volume they had. Still, we had driven all this way and they said we could still order online, so I did, expecting a much longer wait than usual. We ordered 6 donuts and a coffee and settled in to wait. The seating area has some basic tables and chairs and booths along the wall. The interior is very light and colorful, but I would still say this is likely more a place designed for pick up as the seating is more of an afterthought. I did appreciate that they noticed us waiting and tried to get us our order quickly - so the service is friendly when they have the help. As you can tell from the pictures people have posted, the donuts are presented quite nicely. They also were a bit bigger than I expected as I was expecting mini donuts and find these are smaller than a full sized donut, but larger than a mini-donut. Unfortunately, I feel the donuts may have been cooked in too hot of oil as they crumbled quite a bit with the outside separating from the interior. It was a bit oily and then the sweet toppings didn't quite adhere to the donut and made the flavor a bit off - so it wasn't quite there for me. I hope that this may be different experience than what others may have had given their high order volume and what I can imagine was a day they were short staffed being father's day, but I don't think I'll be making the trip out to visit this location again.
