I had to have my morning fix while out of town. This location was the closest to me so I decided to stop in. I almost passed it as the location is a storefront and I was looking for a standalone. LoL! As I walked in, the common area was vibrant, spacious, and super clean. I got my usual coffee (XL Hot Original Blend, Cream, 3 pumps Butter Pecan, 2 pumps French Vanilla, 1 Splenda) and a Grilled Cheese add Bacon. Though I drink Dunkin daily, this cup was different, in a good way. The roast was peak perfection and the flavor profile was spot on with the flavor to coffee ratio. As most can imagine, though I get the exact same order, different locations can yield different results, however... this was a perfect cup of coffee. The Grilled Cheese was spot on. The cheese was melted and oozing and the bacon was meaty and not overdone. Truth be told, this is also one of the best Grilled Cheese add Bacon sandwiches I have had from Dunkin. This location must make all their orders with love. Areas of Opportunity: When I walked in there was no one at the counter. A customer who was seated had to tell me the young lady went to the restroom and would be back shortly... I would suggest a sign as I was confused upon entering. The Donut cases were dirty at the bottom and though they are on wheels, it looked as if they hadn't been moved in a while for the floor beneath them to be swept or mopped. Though the common area is clean, as the cases are within eyesight, it was unbecoming to see the accumulation of dirt and dust. Overall: Great Coffee. TRULY Great! Great Sandwich. Here we are again beautiful people! I come to you humbled by the usual misfortune of standing in an establishment who cares about me as a customer as much as a meth addict cares about dental insurance . Lend me your ears , because Dunkin' surely won't . They won't even give me attention . Literally . This Dunkin' is on my commute to work . I went in on 8/27/24 6:40-6:50 am after waiting approximately 10 minutes at the counter to have my order for a single donut taken i decided to leave . I just stood there as one of the ladies said 'we'll be right with you " (after standing there almost 4 minutes) I stood there so long she was able to say it to me TWICE lol; (after the first 3 and a half minutes she said it and at the 8 minute mark she said it again .) At around 10 minutes I decided I should go to work and leave without a donut . No big deal, I am patient and understanding . Maybe I'll get lucky tomorrow and someone will actually come to the counter and allow me to give them money . (Fingers crossed) 8/28/24 (aka the very next day) Would you believe it ? Someone actually came to the counter ! Here's my moment to shine ! Me : " Good morning, may I get a turkey saus... (abrupt interjection) Her : " we're actually out of ALL MEATS sorry" Me: "oh ok , thank you so much (exits)" Her : "would you like a donut ?" This has happened several times (which is why I'm finally breaking down to write this review) it's important to know there is NOTHING incentivizing this business to provide BETTER customer service , or service at all as it is the ONLY place that is open for service members, contractors and ship yard workers in the area during morning work traffic . So you will get whatever they feel like giving you because "where else can you go ?" (7-11 ? lol) as a native New Yorker , my threshold for tolerating bad service is fine tuned . Came in to get a quick bite before work this morning at around 0630. Everything was fine. Coffee and food was just as expected at any dunkin', not a big deal. Everything was fine until it came to receiving my order. There was one other male military member sitting down, an older civilian male and myself (FEMALE service member in uniform). Now, I have short hair, I get it, a very quick glance i can see some confusion, it happens, not a problem. used to bug me getting mis gendered when i was younger but for the most part I don't let it bug me anymore. But this morning really got under my skin. When the lady who placed my order called out my order, I honestly just didn't hear her. She was in deep conversation with the older gentleman, so i just genuinely didn't hear my order get called out in the middle of their conversation. It only caught my attention when she asked the civilian male "i can't tell if that's a girl or a guy". Very rude to talk about another customers gender as a worker...with an other customer. Especially when i'm literally less than 10 feet away. She very rudely called out my order again as i was already walking up to the counter. I also hear her call to the lady in the back "is this a girl or guy walking up". I was so extremely uncomfortable and embarrassed. I walked away so shocked as the 2 workers behind the counter and the civilian male were laughing at me. They gave my doordasher a completely different order. You'd think when a person orders 5 things, they'd get 5 things and not 2 things they didn't order at all when I called my doordasher back, she said the staff ignored her and then just threw something in a bag and handed it to her. 10/10 recommend NOT COMING HERR. Maybe I just happened to come at the right time but my experience here was pretty simple and error free. I was on this side of town early on the Sunday of the One City Marathon and decided to swing by to get something to eat right quick. The Inside was nice and clean and the decor was pretty fly. It wasn't very busy inside when I came so I ordered the Power Breakfast Sandwich which was ready in less than 5 mins. The restroom is locked and the key is kept up front at the cashier and is for customers only. The sandwich was very good and healthy I think. read more

I'm currently in the Duncan Donuts in downtown Newport News and the manager has been going off on her employees since we entered. I addressed her to ask if she's having a bad day. She reported that she was expecting corporate to come tomorrow. If you are expecting corporate you need to display the same behavior you would with today's customers as you will tomorrow. Poorly managed location. There's only one employee working there at a time so if there's more than three people in line be prepared to wait half an hour. I don't know how this location stays in business cause they're always out of half the breakfast menu. Donut shelves are consistently empty too. read more

Im here from Houston visiting my son. In SE Texas the donut joints are Shipley's and Krispy Kreme. So I'm not sure if this is a Dunkin thing or a Virginia thing but this donut shop is fancy AF! It's more like a Starbucks than the dusty, homeless-ridden donut shops I'm used to in TX. Anyway, I just walked down here for some coffee. Got a Macchiato with almond milk. Ehhhh I wanted to get a power sandwich and the gentleman who was working by hisself admitted to me that he didn't know how to make the sandwich. Quick service, drinks were really good. I got a cold version of a hot chocolate because the machine wasn't working and my husband got a Carmel coolatta. The donuts are decent, not the worst I've had. I love that they have sprinkles donuts in three different flavors. Chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. The strawberry icing is honestly one of my favorites. They also have cheesecake like donuts, bagels, croissants, muffins and breakfast items. read more
