We went in on a Monday mid morning for a little brekkie and coffee. What an awesome spot, with an exceptional cozy vibe and fab food and coffee. The folks at the counter were super nice and got us our coffees right away; when we got our food it looked heavenly! And let me say, it tasted just as good. The avocado toast and the chicken waffle sando was on point and every bite was delicious. Now we seen the brekkie, we'll have to come back for the wine time!

Ambiance is nice. The service was quick. Only major downfall was I ordered a caramel frappe and there was zero thickness to it, it was more like a caramel, milk, coffee. It separated five minutes after sitting, they should revisit this recipe. The potato salad was a banger though, for sure.

The staff even made some recommendations for my significant other who doesn't enjoy wine, but does enjoy bourbon. Check them out if you're looking for a fun twist on a typical date night! The only reason I gave them four stars was that we were the only ones in there, which was a little awkward.

I stopped by on a rainy day around 1PM, so it was super quiet (which I loved). Our waitress was a gem. She let us try a few wine options before we decided what we wanted to order. I ordered a glass of rosé and the Greek board, and both hit the spot. The rosé was crisp and refreshing, which was perfect for a humid day. I paired it with the Greek board, which had all the Mediterranean favorites. A generous amount of pita, olives, hummus, feta and grapes! I'm a sucker for a good Med plate. Whether you're looking to have a girls day, a casual date, find a new spot to work from, or just pop in for a light lunch and glass of wine, Tinto is the spot. I look forward to visiting the VB location!

The food, as it should be is the star of the show. I ordered the Duck, which was the best duck I've had at a restaurant in a very long time. Some places can over cook it in an attempt to get that crispy skin, but here it was cooked to perfection. The skin was crispy, meat flavorful and juicy, and not overly greasy. The sweet potato puree was excellent and elevated the meal. The drinks menu was really good. Our friends are Wine Connessiuers and we're impressed with the selection. Not a Connessiuer myself, though I do enjoy a nice red every now and then, our selection was really good. Circa 1918 is a bit of a trip for us, but I'm sure we will be back and I'd recommend this place to anyone in the Newport News area.

This has been high on my "want to try" for a long time and finally saw an opportunity with an available reservation, went for it and am so happy I did. I dined solo, which I rarely do, but this was the perfect place for it. It was apparent that most people dining were regulars. The owner was chatting with just about everyone and diners were popping over to other tables to say hello, as well. Felt like a very small town. Service was perfect - not overbearing, but perfectly timed for a good flow throughout dinner. Their menu changes often, so some of the items I loved, may not be available - but it does seem like their fried oysters are a mainstay and holy moly, they were delicious. I had one cocktail - I believe it was called Watermelon Sugar. It had vodka, aperol and fresh watermelon. Refreshing and smooth. I tried two apps: the fried oysters and the bao buns. Both were fantastic. Perfectly prepared, so much flavor. I think that next time, I would stick to the appetizer section and try many rather than getting an entree. I got the scallops, which were delicious, but the apps wow-ed me more. Prices aren't low, but you get what you pay for - really high quality dishes with lots of thought and execution embedded. I don't say this lightly - this has been added to my top 10 list in all of Hampton Roads!

The bartender was very sweet and provided us with menus right away. Since I had a "Dine-In Only Bottle" available as a member, I ordered a bottle Cabernet Sauvignon, which is my absolute favorite. We also decided on the House-Made Meatballs (another favorite), the Crispy Barbacoa Arancini, which is a "featured" item, and the Classic Cheeseburger. While we waited, we chatted with others at the bar and since we all wanted to sample the Wine of the Month, the Blanc de Noirs, our bartender was able to provide us with a tasting, which we enjoyed. It took about 40 minutes for our food to arrive but everything tasted amazing, as always. The House-Made Meatballs never miss and the Crispy Barbacoa Arancini were amazing! My daughter enjoyed her Cheeseburger as well. Cooper's Hawk will forever be my one of favorite restaurants and I can't wait to return!!!

From the moment I arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and made for a wonderful dining experience. I decided to try several items from the **Seasonal Chef Recommendations** menu, and every course was excellent. I started with the Crispy Barbacoa Arancini, followed by the Shanghai Braised Short Ribs, which were incredibly tender, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. I finished the meal with the S'mores dessert, and it was the perfect sweet ending. During my wine tasting, I discovered the Vin Velouté. It was so good that I couldn't leave without taking a bottle home! I was also thrilled to learn that the Watermelon Paloma wine has returned--and even better, it's now a permanent addition to the wine lineup instead of just a seasonal favorite. That was exciting news! This visit truly reminded me why I've enjoyed coming to Cooper's Hawk over the years. Great food, outstanding service, an enjoyable wine tasting, and a wonderful overall experience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Entry is located just off the main lobby, bar seating, indoor and outdoor with water view as well. Quickly seated and grabbed the artichoke Florentine fonduta and scallop Caprese for appetizers which were delicious! Wine selection is decent along with cocktails and a handful of beers. For the mains we grabbed a New Yorker Pizza, bolognese and the truffle (longest name ever) pasta in which we added scallops. All were a hit. Finished with the hot honey peach cheesecake and lemoncello cake. Cheesecake a little heavy and sweet after a large meal, yet still awesome. The lemoncello hit the spot perfectly, light and perfect! Even the table we sat at still had a cup ring from a previous patron. My friend ordered the spinach dip and drinks to start at the bar, while I waited at the table. Other patrons came in and were greeted the same way but received water at their table and proceeded to take their orders. Another party came in and they got the same attention. We sat for maybe 20/30 minutes before she even began to make our drinks. When she finally brought water, we ordered wings, salmon bites, and a cheeseburger. The salmon bites were okay but tasted liked catfish nuggets. The wings were okay. We ordered two flavors but I think we only received one because they tasted the same. The blue cheese and ranch that was brought to us was room temp and nasty. The border to me seemed like a regular burger patty. It didn't have any seasoning so that was a disappointment because I love a good burger. Like I said the spinach dip was amazing. The drinks were okay. I think the bartender/waitress needs to work on order or service. I understand they may have needed some more help but the place only holds a small amount of people. I only went because Mac Specialz had did a review on them and I figured we would try them because he only had good things to say. I think they just put on a good show for him because he does reviews. Will not be going back and definitely not telling my friends.
