Mixing that together, you're batter should be very loose not pouring like milk but running off the spoon consistently within 2 to 3 seconds cooking and with butter is also a necessity so they can be moist and flavorful. To taste what basic good pancakes taste like you can try your competition at Cracker Barrel would be a slight help but yours should taste better with a few hours of practice. Take advantage of the choices, especially at a great price. The store itself is very laid out, with your typical gas station products, milk, snacks, drinks in freezers, car auto parts, you name it. The one over by the Culinary Institute is keeping the food and coffee more refreshed all throughout the day so I drive a different way now from the start of Hyde park thru back roads to get from Poughkeepsie to pleasant valley just to go to the Stewart's there because the one on Dutchess turnpike doesn't keep enough food or coffee full and fresh. And there's more food options in the food warmers on display at the counter at other Stewart's locations nearby.
