I like to start out by saying the Ice Cream is delicious, but that's seems to be where it stops as I can buy really delicious Ice Cream from the supermarket also! The store is kind of funky to get into as you feel like your walking thru someone's garage over studio equipment to get into their kitchen instead of an Ice Cream Store Front. I don't feel the cool Ice Cream atmosphere here, no red and white stripes, no clown kiddie set up, or no farm milky theme, no real personality other then sitting in some random neighbor kitchen you've been invited to a couple of blocks over from your place. The lady behind be the counter seems pretty bored working there and seems just to be doing time for the money. Very nice to the customers but couldn't give any suggestions, was to nice to be a grumpy old sarcastic mean cashier we could make fun of. Just a nice lady. This place needs something to bring life to it like a wheel to spin if you can't decide on what you want, what ever the wheel lands on is what you get for the night! Or a Birthday Special of a giant bowl of one scoop of every flavor they have with a swirl of all the soft serves and every topping they have all in one bowl, then have a challenge that if you can finish it with a friend in 30 minutes or less you get a free T-shirt for your birthday! Or put some hokey spray painted benches out front to sit on to make it the best dive place ever!

And I got the blueberry ones which should've been incredible. I would like the owner or the chef to give me 20% of the profits for the following recipe: maybe using whatever pancake mix you use or go ahead and change the pancake mix and just get the aunt Jemima's pancake mix -mix it with basic milk. Start a club membership at Stewart's. Add eggs, a small squeeze of lemon and maybe a small amount of cinnamon just as a slight background hint. Mixing that together, you're batter should be very loose not pouring like milk but running off the spoon consistently within 2 to 3 seconds cooking and with butter is also a necessity so they can be moist and flavorful. To taste what basic good pancakes taste like you can try your competition at Cracker Barrel would be a slight help but yours should taste better with a few hours of practice. If you'd like complete detail details, I will send you a link to my YouTube video. I ordered blueberry pancakes. I couldn't even taste the blueberries. Your cake was very dry spongy and tasting and like a dry sponge. this statement is inspiring because your parking lot will be full and money will be falling all over the floor for your future sales. It's not the perfect recipe but it's a lot better than what you have and people will be inspired to come back actually for the pancakes and not some of your other recipes unless you want to change your name from a pancake factory. You have been there for decadesfor 50 years I don't know, but this was my first time trying you and I was 110% disappointed. I will give you credit. I ordered the vegetable garden omelette and it was decent but dry. It should have also been cooked in butter and cooked softer and not so dry. Make sure you take a video of yourself. I can picture you as a new ratatouille movie. I can't wait to taste your results. Please let me know when a new batch arrives and yes, I still want blueberries. PS please put more fruit or specialty items in your pancakes not two or 3

Also, breakfast is a big win-win for anyone who wants something on the go, which is gone fairly quickly. There's a variety to offer such as bagels, muffins, donuts, and bread to name a few. Take advantage of the choices, especially at a great price. The store itself is very laid out, with your typical gas station products, milk, snacks, drinks in freezers, car auto parts, you name it. I find it to be well organized leaving no mess and anything item misplaced. This Stewart's does a wonderful job of keeping up on that. This location only has 4 pumps which will require some waiting when it is busy. The prices here can be a little higher compared to some areas, but the choice is up to you. Bring the fun!

And please refresh the hot coffee more in the evening because a lot of people nowadays work overnight or have to stay up late for studying and the big coffee shops are closed so yall could get a lot of business if people knew yall kept your coffee fresh throughout the whole day. I would stop here more often to get food and coffee but it's like they hardly have any at night after 6 or 7 and don't want to make it fresh if they're out and you ask for it, unlike other Stewart's locations. They're open til 11 so I get you're busy a lot of the time with people at night coming in for gas, beer, milk, ice cream, but a lot of us come to Stewart's for the hot food and coffee. I use to go to the one in Wurtsboro and they always keep it going all day and are fast to refresh. The one over by the Culinary Institute is keeping the food and coffee more refreshed all throughout the day so I drive a different way now from the start of Hyde park thru back roads to get from Poughkeepsie to pleasant valley just to go to the Stewart's there because the one on Dutchess turnpike doesn't keep enough food or coffee full and fresh. And there's more food options in the food warmers on display at the counter at other Stewart's locations nearby. If you listen to feedback, please put more hot food back on the counter and keep all the coffees full and fresh, and I will gladly come back to this location.

However, for my taste this places donuts are slightly on the denser side and lack much flavor in terms of the actual dough (which mostly just tastes like oil rather than a fresh, "bready(?)" flavor). I did not enjoy my usual favorite item at other spots, the jelly donut. The strawberry jam was overly sweet and tasted low quality (mostly like preservatives with the strawberry flavor utterly cooked off). I wish the texture was pillowy and the flavor of the donut itself higher quality (since these donuts are marketed as specialty/gourmet). They shine based on what fancy flavor is put on top. Overall, I may prefer another spot when considering the price and quality.

She was able to describe the selection they had. I opted for The Homer, chocolate sprinkle, glazed yeast, Boston cream and a cider donut. They were all fantastic. The Boston cream one was everyone's favorite. The cider donut was a great cake donut. The Homer was also a cake donut. I prefer a cake donut over yeast. But, the glaze was great. I love the selection between yeast and cake doughnuts! Kiddos! The flavors are really unique. I love the creativity. This really is a great shop!
