I've been coming here for years. There are new owners, one of the grill people is still there. Pretty much same as it was before, a smooth transition. There's a wide variety of bagel styles and toppings. The coffee is good. Maybe a little strong for some people. The restaurant is clean. The refrigerated cases are neat. Twice ordered avocado toast, one time it was expired avocado, and today it was on black toast ordered croissants which I'm happy for because they were so stale. I can just put a stick in them and use it to shovel the snow on a snowstorm. We're getting in a couple days so do yourself a favor eat at another shop. read more

Located conveniently in a shopping plaza with parking, however the lot does packed as Shop Rite is adjacent. The bagel shop is cozy and clean. Staff is friendly and operate efficiently. Great bagels, coffee and sandwich options. The cinnamon rolls are also one of my favorites! read more

LaGrange location. Muffin was good, smashburger not so great & (bun was hard as if over microwaved.) , fries do not come with it purchased seperate they were good. Got 2 drinks $9.00 each one was suppose to be a chocolate shake it was chocolate milk with wiped cream on top and the other fruit drink tasted ok. The gyro was ok. I wouldn't go back. I ordered twice a chicken chipotle wrap at Empire bagels. The prices are not updated in the website... just FYI. It's 2-3 dollars more.. First time I ordered the wrap, the avocado was expired.. Second time I ordered, the chicken was burnt. In the wrap, it had black, tart burnt pieces.. each bite I would take it was very sour and disgusting. I had to take sips of water after every bite. Not sure if they clean their grills.. There food portions are very little.. mind you, there prices are pricey. There's other places in Fishkill that will serve you better quality and fresh food like Flory's and Savonnas. read more

First time I ordered a bagel which was good but got a cold cup of hot ordered coffee. 2nd time I went in thinking at 8am coffee would be hot .. wrong cold coffee again, I also ordered a egg bacon sandwich on a buttered toasted bagel... I ended up with a sandwich that was literally soaked in butter. No way to salvage the sandwich. Finally the girl that took my order was beyond grumpy she made me feel like she was doing me a favor taking my order.. After coming here for around 3 years, I can safely say this is one of my favorite breakfast/lunch spots for sure. The staff is always very friendly, efficient, and overall seem like such nice people. I wanted to try a real New York bagel so we stopped in at empire bagels. The blueberry and chocolate mousse muffins were divine. The bagels were very different than what I am accustomed to. The bagels were lighter and flakier and the cream cheese was freshly made with a much lighter texture and taste. The staff were very friendly and considerate of our kids and we had a lively conversation about Mexico. I highly recommend both the food and the staff. This place has good bagels (they are not classic boiled ones but still better than everythign available around here). Counter staff is welcoming, warm and good, but my minus 2 stars is for a relatively recent change of the cook/grill person and since that time all my eggs are overcooked with brown marks on them. Burnt eggs are nasty and its a pity to throw away an omelet (and my money) time after time . I visit much less because of it and only for bagels now. read more
