Located conveniently in a shopping plaza with parking, however the lot does packed as Shop Rite is adjacent. The bagel shop is cozy and clean. Staff is friendly and operate efficiently. Great bagels, coffee and sandwich options. The cinnamon rolls are also one of my favorites! read more

I must say I've been in there twice. First time I ordered a bagel which was good but got a cold cup of hot ordered coffee. 2nd time I went in thinking at 8am coffee would be hot .. wrong cold coffee again, I also ordered a egg bacon sandwich on a buttered toasted bagel... I ended up with a sandwich that was literally soaked in butter. No way to salvage the sandwich. Finally the girl that took my order was beyond grumpy she made me feel like she was doing me a favor taking my order.. I never leave reviews but I have never experienced such a crappy breakfast establishment i just had to. read more

After coming here for around 3 years, I can safely say this is one of my favorite breakfast/lunch spots for sure. The staff is always very friendly, efficient, and overall seem like such nice people. The place is always very clean, and they have a wonderful display of all fresh produce, bagels, etc. Their bagels are so soft and light, and their coffee is great. Whether you stop by for a grab and go snack, or sit down for a SEG on a toasted bagel (my fav), this place never misses. read more

Visit regularly from Virginia and always hit up this location. The bagels are amazing and I always have to get a breakfast bagel sandwich. The portions are great and the pricing is more than generous. The quality is always top tier and the menu is extensive from bagels to sandwiches, smoothies, salads and more. Love the service too. The staff is super friendly, super fast and they always remember us, even if it's been a year. Wish they had this in Virginia. read more

I moved away from the HV 6 years ago and have gone to great lengths to find the best black & white cookie whenever I'm in town. Empire Bagels has it! Subtle taste of lemon. Perfectly cakey texture. Slightly firm frosting. The chocolate frosting is slightly creamier than the St. Patrick's day version pictured here. This Fishkill location even packaged up a dozen of them for me right before closing! read more

Best breakfast in Dutchess county. Bagels are fresh made on site. Their coffee both hot and iced is phenomenal. They also do a variety of juices, salads and avocado toasts. Highly recommend stopping in. read more

We come here when we are in town for their lox and bagel sandwiches and a specialty coffee and everything is always delicious. Came here on Mother's Day where things were crazy busy and hectic and the staff did amazing! They moved quickly and kept the line moving better than most food establishments can do these days. OMG!!! I stopped en route from Boston to Poughkeepsie, needing a quick snack. Instead, I had a religious experience. Why can't Boston have bagels this good? Or maybe I'm better off -- this would quickly become an addiction. I got the egg-everything, poppy, sesame, and cinnamon-raisin. Each was better than the other. Oy vey, I need more!! read more

I wanted to try a real New York bagel so we stopped in at empire bagels. The blueberry and chocolate mousse muffins were divine. The bagels were very different than what I am accustomed to. The bagels were lighter and flakier and the cream cheese was freshly made with a much lighter texture and taste. The staff were very friendly and considerate of our kids and we had a lively conversation about Mexico. I highly recommend both the food and the staff. I had their limited time only chicken cutlet grilled cheese with hot honey and let me say it was one of the best sandwiches i have ever had. i really hope they keep it on the men. the one worker who i think was the owner was so extremely sweet and even gave me some free bagels before closing. service was fantastic and staff is very friendly. will be coming back again! read more

This place has good bagels (they are not classic boiled ones but still better than everythign available around here). Counter staff is welcoming, warm and good, but my minus 2 stars is for a relatively recent change of the cook/grill person and since that time all my eggs are overcooked with brown marks on them. Burnt eggs are nasty and its a pity to throw away an omelet (and my money) time after time . I visit much less because of it and only for bagels now. read more

Really nicely re done by new owners. Not sure why I waited so long to try it. Bagels were the perfect size and delicious. I didn't care for the cream cheese-the texture was a little odd. Reminded me of toothpaste. That's just a personal preference tho. But I will definitely be going back to grab a dozen to go and just prepare them at home. Glad we don't have to drive 15 minutes to get a bagel anymore! read more

I am disappointed with the quality of food I have been getting from here lately. Typically I order the pancakes with bananas and the last two instances when I ordered this dish I received my pancakes with brown bananas ... yuk!!! I couldn't eat it. It wouldn't be so bad but on this order I specifically asked for fresh bananas and still received brown bananas. I won't be ordering from here again. read more

I don't know what the reviewers that raved about this place were smoking when they posted here, but these puffy, dough-like bread circles with holes in them are not anywhere close to what a bagel is supposed to be. If you're looking for a nice sandwich bread, sure... have at it! But if you're looking for something that tastes like a bagel, you would do better buying at a supermarket. read more

Ok seriously best bagels I've had in a long time!!! Gorgeous spot, clean, everyone is friendly, excellent quality, oh and the coffee, seriously the best coffee you will ever have!!!!
