Black Dot is the best coffee around. Convenient location, heart of Stone Ridge, pop in on your drive along 209.

The coffee is far and away the best coffee in the Hudson valley and the vibe and ambiance of the spot make it a true small town gem!

Our server was fantastic and was able to easily accommodate my dairy-free preference. We sat inside, but there was also the option to enjoy some sunshine out in their patio area. Everybody was friendly, and the place was clean. There is a sign, that there is no Wi-Fi. You actually have to *GASP* talk to each other as if it were back in the 90s. :) You order at the front counter, and then when your food is ready, you walk up to the kitchen window and pick it up. I decided to try the 209 hash. Two eggs, Potatoes, bacon, sautéed mushrooms, sausage, and tomatoes. While the food was good and the over easy eggs were done right, everything was pretty oily. From the potatoes, to the mushrooms, everything. I mean yes, there was bacon and sausage, but there shouldn't have been so much oil on everything else. Again, it did taste good, and it was very rich, but all of the oil took away from the meal, just a little bit. Next time I'm passing by, I would stop again, but this time I would get something else. Thank you.

Then the girl behind him in line ordered an iced mocha and she made it for her. He didn't tell me this until after we got into the car. But if I had known I would not have ordered anything. My boyfriend is black and I just wondered if it was a racism thing. I could be wrong but it felt that way since everyone else was white. It happened while I was going to the bathroom at the creepy bus station office next door which you have to go to bc the coffee shop doesn't have one. I got a chocolate croissant which tasted fine but the woman who worked there made me wait a super long time while she and the guy in front of me talked about his dog. There are a lot of coffee shop options in New Paltz so you don't have to go here if you need coffee. I would stay away from this place. I was led astray by a review that said it was good.
