So I turned the Yelp started looking at donuts spots. When perusing I saw this place had a blueberry filled doughnut, which I wanted myself. So I chose this place and it's cool cause they have a drive-through and I know that's nothing special when you're going to chain places. Most places that are not chains do not have drive-through. The blueberry diet was awesome. I got a coffee for myself and a bagel with veggie cream cheese. The bagel wasn't bad but it didn't blow me away like the blueberry doughnut. Then I got a dozen donuts and like a coffee party box that came with a ton of sugar and milk and everything you could need for a coffee station. It was a hit with the crew. My only complaint was the car that I had was a rental and it was kind of shorter so when handing the box out to me, the donut box almost spilled, and then the box with the coffee and all the accoutrements started to rip. So though the drive-through was a plus at first, it almost was the beginning to a very bad day. Trust me, I work in Paper and Paper board what you put something in is important. And there's been so many advancements in Grace barrier technology.

Just like a dive bar that serves up good and affordable cocktails, Tastease gives you, "tasty" mini donuts. I went with my BFF to pick-up a special order of donuts for the post wedding reception party for the wedding party. All the donuts at Tastease, are mini donuts. So you don't have to feel guilty about eating more than one. The donuts are flavorful and the detail they put into icing their treats is amazing. The owners are delightful. Their warm friendly personalities, add to the experience of getting your doughnuts at Tastease. So, if you're in Hartford, CT, I highly recommend that you stop by and treat yourself to a donut.

Decided to give this place a go, so we made the trek here. parking is pretty much non-existent. The front of the store has spots but not much else. The front end is a little worn down, but the inside is clean. By the time I came here, they were mostly out of donuts. The lady in the front was a bit weary from the morning rush, so when I came in asking for a dozen donuts, she pretty much just started grabbing donuts to put into the tray. When a dozen donuts comes up to 24 dollars, you do make note of the price. These donuts had to be incredibly tasty to justify a price point similar to a french macaron. They were pretty dang good. Each donut was cakey, soft, sweet, and flavorful. The few that I had were done well, and some even had a little filling in the middle to help punctuate the flavors. If I got here early, and got time to pick a peck, and the price was a little cheaper to get a dozen, then I would be willing to recommend this place hands-down. Given the pricing and my issues, I had to dock a star. Issues aside, these little delectable bites are some of the best around. If price is no object, then you would be hard pressed to find tastier bites.

The dough from the cream filled tasted very great, like it absorbed too much fryer oil. Yet it was also dry. The flavor of the cream was not the best either. We stopped in on a Saturday morning and got some bagels as well as a pistachio muffin. The donuts looked really good but I had a hankering for a bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel and the one I had was delicious. The bagel wasn't as big as I'm used to in NYC but that was great because it was easy to eat and not overly doughy. The real star was the pistachio muffin. That was hands down the best muffin I've ever had. The inside was crowded with a group of older gentlemen holding court but we were able to get a table on the sidewalk to eat and watch the world go by. The ladies behind the counter couldn't have been friendlier. Just super service. It was really nice. Prices were reasonable as well. If you're in Norwich, you should definitely put this on your list.

We had to go for breakfast the next morning. Our moths dropped at how many varieties and everything else they had. We spent $30 but we came away with more than we would have at Dunkin's! We got two of the malassadas, a Boston cream, an apple fritter, a bow tie, a coffee roll, one of their giant donuts, two zeppoles, and a coffee roll and hot chocolate. We knew we would only eat the malassadas and one other donut. We planned to bring the coffee roll, the giant donuts, and zeppoles home to share. We ended up bringing all of that plus the bow tie and apple fritter. The malassada filled me up and my husband ate his and most of his Boston cream. The malassada is a deep fried roll with sugar on it. Think of a thick (about an inch) fried dough. It was so soft and heavenly u like fried dough. My husband's donut was so good. I tried it and it had a very nice ratio of chocolate, delicious custard, and donut. Probably one of the best I've had in a long time. The service was great! The guy that took our order was super patient and explained what stuff was. The zeppole isn't the Italian ones we are used to but it has a Portuguese twist. It is a Portuguese donut instead of an Italian pastry. I can't wait to try it tonight!

It sucks to see a great business get taken over and completely trashed.

I had just seen Donut Dip pop up in an online article as the best donut place in Massachusetts and so I had to stop. Donut Dip is an old school donut shop, a large selection of a wide variety of flavors are on display. The short line moved quickly and I ordered an Apple Fritter and a Chocolate topped custard stick for the road. The price was a bit higher than I expected but the donuts were big and looked great and I wanted some food for the road so I didn't have to stop. The Apple Fritter was good, however it seemed to be a bit light on actual apple piece and while tasty it just wasn't anything special. The Custard stick was excellent, the custard was rich and luscious which nicely balanced the perfectly fried donut, the topping was thick and chocolaty giving the donut an old school feel. Although I didn't have a long visit I would say that overall Donut Dip has very good to great donuts. The shop feels classic and if I was nearby I would love to try some of the other flavors. When we walked in, there were only a few donuts left, 1 row of crullers, 1 row of GF crullers and half a row of churro crullers. My husband hates crullers, but they're my favorite donut, so I thought I was the only one who was going to get one. I may have said this out loud and I think one of the people working felt bad for us, so she produced a box of gorgeous donuts and let us know that someone hadn't picked up their order and we could choose from this box if we liked. There were a few my husband would like, so we bought 4 of them. Holy moly! These donuts are fan-freaking-tastic!!! They were a little too big for me and kind of greasy to be perfectly honest, but they were also so soft and fluffy, with a crisp exterior. The flavors were bold and delicious and they were even good the next day when I ate my second one.
