It was my childhood dream to revisit a Dunkin donut as we have none in my area. This place was slower than molasses. It was painful to watch the staff move on one order at a time. The lobby was backed up and as we walked we heard the staff talk about closing the lobby and just running the backed up drive thru. They mentioned you "just gotta laugh and not let it get to you." It's a donut. It's ridiculous to have 15 cars in the drive they and take over an hour. "Safety of our team" is the reason to close the lobby. Is your team in the world? Do they wear the mask outside the shop? Do they live with other people? Do they frequent restaurants that have the courage to open their doors? POOR SERVICE!!!! They say people only leave a review when they have a bad experience. That is not generally true for me but I guess it is when it comes to DUNKIN DONUTS. After all, most people already know what to expect. So, here's my "bad" experience : Saturday Morning around 10 AM went thru the drive-thru, ordered egg and cheese and hash browns when the rude employee comes and processed my payment(didnt gave my receipt) and asked to pull forward to wait for the order which never happened at this place.Then I proceeded forward to the second window and waited 15 minutes only to discover that he didn't give me the order I paid for! It's certainly not convenient for me to order then have to pull around to try to find parking and then do a back and forth with the worker. So, when I went back in the lane and asked for my order he says I didn't paid for my order. The staff is super duper slow. Even when not busy it can take 30mins to get a cup of coffee. I do not know what the issue is, but it seems like the whole staff and management needs to be replaced. It's amazing how slow the service is. I do not recommend this location. Corporate should be notified because this location is giving their business a very bad name. read more

I used to be a regular, but my last trip showed me that I really prefer supporting local coffee shops. I ordered one iced with just a little cream and one hot coffee. When the man came to the window, he handed me two iced coffees. I clarified that I actually wanted one of them hot and the glare of hatred he sent my way told a lot. He proceeded to tell me that next time I shouldn't say I wanted it iced. I never said I wanted the second one iced. Clearly, there was a misunderstanding, but that is not how you properly handle a situation like that. After he made the coffee the way I initially ordered it, he gave it to a co-worker to hand to me. Then, he made some small comment about not giving me a straw. I thought nothing of it until I drove away and noticed I had no straw for my iced coffee...So it was just a petty move to spite me. Maybe it was just a bad day for him--I'm not sure. The kicker was when I finally had a sip of my iced coffee and it was, hands down, the sweetest thing I've ever tasted. I ordered with just a bit of cream and no flavoring. So, they were rude and messed up my order twice. As mentioned, I was a regular and a big proponent for their coffee. I like Dunkin and I like their coffee, but this location is way to slow and is severely understaffed. I wait in the drive thru line for 15 minutes at 730 am because they literally had 3 people working. I've had to give up and leave more than once. The staff that works there is usually nice and the managers are great. This is a message for corporate and whoever gives them staff hours: Hire more staff... the appeal of DD is speed and prices. Been here twice so far and so far, so good! The parking lot and drive thru aren't set up the best, especially since Topekans need their coffee and donuts (meaning it's typically packed). As others have also mentioned, this is simply a poorly ran store. It's unbelievably bad. Plan on waiting 30 minutes or more in the drive through or at the counter before being served. I've gone to this store several times and haven't had a good experience. I feel for the 1-2 employees who seem to be working hard but clearly are understaffed and simply cannot keep up when there are long lines. Can't go wrong with Dunkin'. Topeka is heavy with trendy hipster coffee joints that range from reasonable to "How Much?" so we prefer this one. When I want a cup of coffee I don't want to deliberate for 15 minutes on the country of origin, get behind people ordering a cafe latte frappe mocha vanilla extra shots soy milk skinny caramel with whipped cream, or have to yell over my partner because a group of music majors is noisily waiting for their big break. Dunkin' is perfect, have been around for ages and serves a darn good cup of coffee and fresh donuts. That's what it's about. Good coffee, fresh items, and no attitude. I went in at 7:30 a.m. thinking it would be faster than the drive thru. I was wrong. There were literally five staff there three of them walked by twice. Not once asking what I wanted or if they could help me. There was another woman behind me reacting the same way. Then when I asked for a variety of donuts they gave me what they had. They didn't even bother checking if there were more nor did they offer me a discount for waiting for ten minutes to be served right before I had to be at work by 8:00 a.m. I understand donut places are busy in the morning, they are so focused on the drive thru they don't interact with customers who actually go into the store for human interaction. I live in Topeka and let me just start by saying it is the crappiest Dunkin donut you will every visit. I am not writing this review because I had only one bad experience, I'm just not that kind of person but when it happens five days in a row plus some more over a course of a month I just felt I should do this and warn others visiting Topeka. First, they didn't have any long john's or the new donut fries five days in a row and it's not like I'm ordering them at an odd time of the day. When I did get donut fries they always vary in number. They are extremely stingy owners because if you order any donut with filling inside, you don't even get half the amount you get at other Dunkin donuts. Today July 26th,2018 I ordered a sweet black pepper bacon sandwich, a Boston cream and a jelly donut and a medium blueberry macchiato and guess what!, I got pain egg sandwich, chocolate and glazed donut and an Americano. So I basically got every order wrong. when I went around the drive through to tell them the guy said he has to charge me extra for that. The people that work there are extremely rude.
