Oftentimes orders are messed up before you get them, and even if you get your order it likely was cooked incorrectly if it's food or your drink won't taste just right. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE DRIVE THRU SERVICE!!!!!! Don't work the morning shift if you aren't able to stay in good spirits. I just had the worst experience ever. We go up to the drive through to order and we asked the woman how her day was, and she said good. And then, as we were about to order, she interrupted us and asked for our name. Although we thought this was weird, considering we don't really order through the drive through, we gave her a name and she said, okay, pull around. We said wait, we didn't order yet. And she rudely said, okay, so order. And so we froze for a bit because we are confused on her attitude. And so again she said, what is your order? So we gave her our order. And when we got to the window, we asked if she had an attitude? She claimed she did not but as we were trying to explain ourselves, she decided to continue to interrupt us and argue with us, the paying customers. I still wanted my coffee so my boyfriend hands her my card, for which she rudely snatched it out of his hand. We demanding the card back and snatched it right back out of her hands. This location is disgusting and filthy. I went into the store today to order 2 donuts and and and iced coffee. Stood in line for 5 minutes while I was the only customer no one even acknowledged me. I'm not happy about the blatant false advertisement that is displayed about this Dunkin Donuts. I saw several "Open 24 hour" signs so I proceeded to use the drive thru. While I was making my decision, the attendant was irritated and told me that they close in 2 minutes. I asked for some chocolate donuts. Then he proceeded to rush me by listing a whole bunch of donuts as fast as he could. I couldn't even understand what he said so I told him that I just wanted a normal chocolate donut. No other customers were there when I got there; a line of about 10 people formed behind me and they ALL got their drinks before I even got my second one. I am a graveyard shift worker at 1 of 2 booming businesses with full staff 24 hrs, so HUGE market 4 specialty caffeinated beverages and Starbucks closes hours b4 graveyard shift. I checked online. The Urbana location close to my employer lists open to 10 pm. Drove up, door locked, employee leaning on the counter in full view texting on phone. Drive up lit up, drove around, only to be told "we're closed". I pointed out that (1) the bright open orange sign was lit up, drive up lit up, website AND door said "10 pm". It was 9:45 pm. I asked "why?" "Nobody's here". "Who am I speaking with?" He repeated eloquently "we're closed". I said "what time do you close?" "10 pm". I pointed out that the little hand doesn't point to 12 and the big hand point to 10 for, at this point, 15 minutes and that HE was there to make me a drink. He repeated helpfully "nobody's here". I left and went to McD's, who gave me a free iced coffee made to my specifications. Here's the thing, I've been a retail manager. There's cleaning up to do after close. Not a single chair was up ended, meaning that this employee of the month clearly intended to literally phone his job performance in until official quitting time and THEN milk them for another 1/2 hour or so for "cleaning after store hours", when, chances are, he had taken it upon himself to close at 9 pm, 9:30 at the latest, and lean on the counter watching at least one person try to open the door he locked at least 20 minutes early. I called today to speak to the store manager, who was unavailable to take my call. I don't recommend this business to anyone but my oldest sister, who hacks her children's, sister's, and mother's fake book and/or banking accounts among many other things-she definitely deserves the Dunkin Donut experience. I wouldn't recommend this Dunkin' to my worst enemy. I worked here for two months before quitting, and it has ruined my whole outlook on one of my favorite childhood desserts. Here are some of my concerns with this horrendous restaurant (if you can even call it that). Early in my employment, as I was being shown how to make a breakfast sandwich, my trainer flipped the cooked sausage patty from the cardboard to the sandwich to reveal a dead bee. I assume the sanitary thing to do would be to throw the whole package of patties out and cook new ones. But no, my trainer picked off the bee, finished prepping the sandwich, and served it to the customer. Gross, right? Everybody knows of the iconic doughnut selection presented behind the counter. Well, as doors and windows are opened and closed countless times throughout the day, it's inevitable that bugs are let in. And where do these bugs go? Straight for the exposed doughnuts. Later on in the afternoon, if you look closely enough, you can see little black buys flying around the top rack of doughnuts. I honestly couldn't tell you what they are, but they look almost exactly like gnats. Perhaps they are. You can expect to see those every single day. Other times you may find your typical house flies, and once there was even a bee flying around! Could you imagine if one of these bugs ended up inside a doughnut? The thought gives me shivers... If you want fresh coffee don't expect to always get it after 11 or so. The pots say to brew a new pot of coffee every 18 minutes, and they're so busy in the mornings that this really isn't an issue. But as the demand for iced coffee rises as the day grows old, hot coffee gets neglected. I always did my best to keep track of the coffee and to make sure it stayed under the 18 minutes, but my coworkers would always shoo me off and tell me it wasn't a big deal. I always felt like the only employee that cared about the customer's final products. The customer expects and DESERVES fresh coffee, am I right? I worked at McDonald's before I worked at Dunkin'. They did a hell of a better job of keeping coffee fresh than AN ACTUAL COFFEE SHOP. (sigh) I must add that Dunkin' barely passed health inspection when I worked there. The last person at the drive through as I walked in, with 6 cars in front of them got their coffee before they even took my order. I just bought a mint n' chip shake and after receiving it, it did not taste like mint at all. After I asked for the worker to redo it all he did was pour in back in the blender and added more milk and one scoop of ice cream, after we said to not add any more milk. I would recommend anyone to stay away. This morning I ordered 2 iced coffees, a dozen donuts, hashbrowns, and a steak egg and cheese bagel. I got 2 dozen donuts which explains the 25$. The iced coffees were terrible and gave myself and the person drinking the other a very upset stomach, the hash browns had a weird flavor to them, and the steak egg and cheese bagel was awful. I'm writing this review for Lazaro. I recently moved here from NYC where I frequented DD every day and met my friend , who also was retired. The employees were very nice and always welcomed us. I moved here last year and again was fortunate to have DD in my neighborhood. (Urbana, near Carle Clinic) Lazaro is always smiling, asks about our friends and family and makes us feel important. The service was horrible. I had to repeat my order several times while in the drive through one after the other with little or no reply before asking for it again. The last time that I repeated it, no one said anything. After waiting a few moments for someone to come back on the intercom, I ended up driving to the window. There I had to again tell them my order of a large iced coffee with blueberry syrup, cream, and sugar, and a medium iced coffee with pumpkin syrup and cream. We also ordered a couple of donuts. It was at that point I realized that they knew very little English. They finally motioned another girl over who typed in my order. Once they handed me the coffees and the bag of food, I saw that they put the wrong donut in there and only gave us one. Ugh.. What gives! I was the only customer in the drive through. After pulling away, my fiancé tasted his drink and needed sugar because it hadn't been added like requested.
