I have tried with this Dunkin, but I give up. When this location first opened it was reasonably good. At least as expected for Dunkin. Things went down for a while. Doors locked, Not open, out of stock menu items, etc. After an extended period of avoiding the location I tried again. Maybe there was a new manager? The service was actually good. The coffee was good and the food came out well preparred......for a short period of time. Over the last couple months the service and quality has gotten lower and lower. Long waits, incorrect order items, consistently out of stock menu items, sub-par coffee and poor food quality, and poor or rude service. Frozen cheese, burnt bread, stale food, extra bitter coffee are now the norm, and forget about the smile with the service. Today was my last straw. I decided on a hot large Midnight with cream, Avocado toast, and sausage wake-up wrap. The drive thru attendant was sufficiently helpful. neither good or bad. Other mornings the attendant sounds offended and standoffish. The coffee was ready shortly after making payment. I waited and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The food was in a bag and nearly thrown out of the window at me. This seems to be the way things are done here, with an air of inconvienience to the staff for visiting their store, I took the bag and immidiatley realized the avocado toast was in the bag, as it was now all over my hand. I took a napkin from My console as there were none in the bag and cleaned my hand. I pulled around the building and removed the avocado toast from the bag and slid it from the paper sleeve. Apparently they must be out of boxes again. Thanks for the warning. I ate the avocado toast as I had nowhere to place it. It was edible but certainly not great. the bread was soggy and the seasoning was weak. The coffee today was decent, as opposed to the last time when I had to dump it out due to bitterness, and I happily sipped away. I decided to have the wrap. The fillings were reasonable, and actually an edible temperature this time, but the wrap itself crunched apart into pieces when I bit it. I can only descibe it how I would imagine being extremely stale and then run through the toaster. I ate the middle and threw the rest out the window. The pièce de résistance came when I got to the bottom half of the coffee. As it was cooler I took a good size swig, and got a mouth full of grounds which got spit back out. I was picking grounds out of my teeth for 30 minutes. I later dumped out the coffee remains and found spoons full of grounds in the bottom of the cup. So. No more.

Now that they combined with the coffee place and moved into the former pizza store in the east end of town, they have really come into their own. Pastries are terrific. Chocolate croissant and kouign amman are world class!! Tonight we had a special cake for our daughter in law's birthday: chocolate/peanut layer cake covered in chocolate ganache. Amazing! Highest recommendation!!

You literally can't go wrong with anything you pick out here, but these are some of my favorites: - Black forest crinkle cookie - a soft but fudgy cookie filled with kirsch soaked cherries and white chocolate pieces. - Chocolate orange hazelnut cake - I love anything chocolate orange, and this little cake packs a flavorful punch! - Almond Pillows - SO GOOD, new favorite! The name is a perfect descriptor, and the icing complements the almondy flavor so well. - Savory scones - take your pick, I've had most of them and they are all good. Crusty on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Last visit I loved the swiss & scallion and the ham cheddar herb. - Pistachio citrus rosewater cookie "Flower of Palestine" - new to me my last visit, but all the above flavors were subtle and very complementary of one another. If you're lucky enough to be there when the slabs of focaccia pizza are out, definitely snag yourself a piece. They have to serve the squares in order, as we learned, so you can't pick out your preferred square (crustless center vs. corner piece vs. one edge crust, similar to people's brownie preferences). The flavors rotate and there's usually a vegetarian and a meat option. The lady who's always running the counter is so sweet and friendly! There are a couple of tables and chairs if you want to indulge immediately, but I'd say it's mostly a grab and go kind of spot. I hear they are switching locations to elsewhere in Wilmington soon, so look out for that!

They then let you know you can sample 4 different spirits, my wife and I declined on this part only due to the fact we stopped at the nearby brewery first. We went right into picking our cocktails. Next time we definitely would do the sampling. Cocktail wise their current menu was broken into three different sections, those being Vodka, Bourbon, and lastly moonshine. An extra category on the bottom did include two mocktails as well. I thought the cocktails were extremely reasonable either being $11 or $13. I got their peach smash which was a really good drink utilizing their honey bourbon and peach liqueur which was balanced so well! My wife got their French martini that utilized their vodka and raspberry liqueur and came in a frosted glass. We loved both of the drinks and even though my wife typically is not a bourbon fan she liked mine. While we enjoyed our drinks inside and appreciated the atmosphere of the inside including the decor the true view is outside. Enjoy your cocktail while taking in the view, you can be on the patio or at a table or chair at the overlook. Can snap some amazing photos that's for sure! To sum it up, friendly and welcoming staff who make delicious cocktails with a great setting inside and out!
