I thought the lumberjacks coffee latte was fantastic, the chocolate chip muffin was good and very flavorful, but a little dry in parts, but understandable given the draw that these delicious duos have. I just need to get out there earlier maybe if I want to score an blueberry muffin. If I could bottle up the enthusiasm the staff has for its customers and sell it, I'd be a millionaire! That is a very nice touch for a business to have and make them really standout as a great business. It also gave me a chance to see the beautiful countryside of route 7 in Hoosick, that I haven't been to for a while. Lumberjacks has a nice little drive through roundabout kiosk too, buy on one side, pickup round the other. They are only open on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday 7 AM - 2 PM, so check ahead and call ahead if you are heading out. Well done, Lumberjacks, well done! read more

Great little stop along the road! On our visit last winter, we tried the cider donuts, coffee, and they made me a maple chai latte (not on the menu, but they will customize anything for you). The chai latte was a little heavy on the maple, but it was no less delish and warming on a freezing drive out. Same with my husband's Lumberjack coffee, but he's used to taking his coffee plain black. This is a drive-thru only establishment, so be prepared to snack in your car. No restrooms either, and there's a sign that says "No Walk Ups" . Friendly smiles and service nonetheless. Hope to come back next ski season... maybe will try a lumberjack sandwich read more

The most enchanting little roadside local drive thru that I have ever been to!! Awesome for some cold refreshments like coffees, lemonades and hot fresh apple cider donuts and other amazing baked goods too!!! Very friendly staff and great ambiance for a drive thru... the two year old was quite pleased and loved the fresh hot donuts along with us adults.. The most delicious breakfast sandwich (Lumberjack sandwich) that I have ever had. Extremely hearty with bacon, sausage, egg, cheese, and Maple syrup drizzled on. Definitely could have shared it but was so good. Then had the iced lumberjack latte that had Maple syrup in it. Fantastic. And then finished with the cider donuts which were like a big mini donut. This place rocks! Awesome coffee and the cider donuts are the best ever! When you drive through they make sure if you are going to eat the donuts right away to make sure they are hot for you. They are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and are perfect! You have to stop here on your trip to VT or anywhere along this route. We look forward to it every year! read more

Here we are... a family of 4 driving back to Indiana from New Hampshire where the scenery is gorgeous but there really isn't much on the road as far as grabbing a bite to eat for breakfast. Then off of 7, we see "Lumber Jack's Coffee & Snacks" with a sign advertising Apple Cider Donuts. We passed it! Skreetch! the car whips around and we high tail it back to Lumber Jacks (ok - I pulled over, used my turn signal and slowly went back...). I am glad we did. Excited to stop here on our way to Stratton for a day of skiing. Perfect place to stop on a morning drive from the capital district to the mountains. I love everything about this cute little coffee stand. They have a lot of these single stands out west, but it's a rare find in New England. We ordered apple cider donuts, a maple latte and an everything bagel with butter. The staff was super friendly, upbeat and festively dressed in red and black flannel shirts. The bagel was perfectly toasted and had just the right amount of butter. The maple latte was good but I would have liked it to be hotter. The apple cider donuts were crispy and tasty, a nice treat outside of the normal apple cider donut season. Worth a stop to this gem. read more

This was such a great find on our drive back from Vermont. We saw a few cars stopping at this small drive-thru and the board promised maple lattes, cider donuts and all day breakfast sandwiches. Needless to say, we decided to check the place out. While we were waiting, one of the staff members walked to our car to let us know that they were out of baked goods. We appreciated the update and stayed put to get some coffee and sandwiches. The staff was nice and the service was swift. The breakfast sandwiches were great and the coffee was AMAZING. We would definitely stop here every time we're heading to Vermont and hopefully, we'll get to try the cider donuts next time. The best little coffee shack ever! I drive back to New Jersey from Vermont after ski trips multiple weekends every month and I'm always ecstatic when I reach Lumberjack's. The drive-through-only system is perfect and they have the friendliest staff. I've gotten the Maple Latte and the Lumberjack sandwich every time I've gone! (The lumberjack sandwich is ehh, bacon, sausage & cheese with a maple syrup drizzle on either a bagel or an English muffin). This is the type of shack that I expect to find on the back roads and routes around Vermont and New York! I loved the beaver mascot out front. He was adorable and I totally believe he endorses this coffee now! The coffee was by far the best we had on the trip. It's Kona and was strong and rich and just tasted amazing. Stumbled upon lumbar jack's on our way out of vermont and this was the PERFECT roadside stop! A drive-through only stand, you need to know up front this is not a bathroom break! Otherwise, they have pretty much whatever your crew desires in terms of meals/drinks/snacks! We loved their delicious coffees and ciders. We also had a few breakfast sandwiches and bagels which were fresh and delicious. One in our crew enjoyed a smoothie as well, which was great - no artificial sweeteners or dairy, just fruit and ice! There were plenty of other fresh baked goods and snack options that tempted us as well! The servers are quick and friendly, but this place is not a secret. Be prepared to wait at least a few minutes in the line of cars leaving the mountains on a Sunday afternoon. read more

We passed this place on our way to Albany and promised ourselves we would stop by on the way back. So glad we fulfilled our promise! The drive through was super easy and quick, and felt safe during COVID. We ordered three apple cider donuts (2 of them warmed up) and two medium iced maple lattes.
